Curious as to the preference for the line to extend to Richmond over Clapham Junc - surely there's more gameplay interest with the power changeover north of Shepherd's Bush and the 377/2 layering in?

(Not that I have an issue with the current project scope - just a thought more than anything)

The more I see the better this seems - really impressed with the amount of ingenuity going into finding more and more layers :D

I wonder if this might prelude a Chiltern line project for their next route - the line out of Marylebone would be eminently suitable for a TrainSim route and would conveniently overlap in terms of much route development and scenery.

Don't forget about Southeastern Highspeed which was extended to Ashford and Dartford for TSW3

    That was rebuilt, not extended.

In regards to the conversation at hand, I do find it funny how third parties are actually interested in seeing what TSW really is capable of (even Rivet have achieved features DTG haven’t), whilst DTG are trying to do as little work as possible, as of late.

As stated there must be a master uncooked copy in order to patch out any issues.

I think it has more to do with DTG’s commercial reluctance to sell the same route twice, well until it came to LIRR with its extension of course, than what is and isn’t possible in the editor. Re SEHS, well the existing parts from the first version looked pretty much identical in the extended one. And there’s more than a school of thought that Queens Park to Harrow was pasted from Bakerloo into WCMLS.

Yeah. Totally agree there... I think the Bakerloo Line section featured in WCMLS was a direct copy and paste from the original release, and would partly explain why missing stop car markers and missing detail at stations that was in the original release.

If this chap does extend WLL to Richmond it'll prove its totally possible, even on a smaller scale.

As I understand it, Rivet didn't rebuild FCL to include Leven. They originally laid the track, then at a later point added scenery etc. So hypothetically this would be a way around it without rebuilding.

The way to do this, it seems, is to add the 'extension' so that the groundwork is there.

Rivet did it with Leven, which, while not modelled or accessible, was there from the start, so that they could use it in the future. Seems the problem would be planning for a potential expansion.

These were the screenshots I took whilst testing the route, which Johannes kindly allowed me to share :)

There's tonnes of screenshots which I can't wait to share, but this isn't before I get permission from Johannes and the relevant parties of course. :D

Despite its seemingly short length, the route is fantastic and there's so much to see. Johannes has mastered the London skyline and the urban feel of the route. There's never a dull moment.

I don't think it's far from release going from the steam achievements being out already, I hope Johannes can extend it to Richmond in a future expansion :)

I think there's a good chance for a March release, I expect this, the welsh route and the dutch route to release pretty close to each other.

I thought about it and decided that I would not waste time on trifles: no Richmond/Clapham Junction = no purchase, Nothing personal, Johannes - I just don't want to pay so much money for 12 miles (they raised prices for everything)

As soon as there will be an expansion of the route or a discount - then I will think about buying, but for now...

That was my view initially but having seen the quality of the work and hopefully at some point we will get a video clip so we can see and hear the 378 in action, I reconsidered my stance. In particular I do feel it worth supporting a pretty much solo developer who looks to have achieved so much, compared to laid back Rivet who even with the team they have can’t come anywhere near this level. Obviously there are a few checks and balances to pass before my final decision, at least one of which will be the price (have to say anything over £30 might be too much) and how this ties in with release dates for Cardiff and the Dutch route, both of which are on the wanted list too.

I wasn't tempted to get this route mainly because of length but the more I've seen the more I've been impressed so it might be a day one purchase

I refunded " Goblin " initially because, well made though it was, it was just too repetitious and frankly tedious, like riding a city bus. And, to a foreigner, London just isn't that interesting.

I too would like to reward the individual effort, but I just wonder if I'll have the same experience as I had with " Goblin ".

If the price is reasonable, I might go for it, as I say, mostly to reward the effort.

Why are there many requests for the line to be extended to Clapham Junction? Much as I like this stretch of line (and Shepherds Bush station looks great for a modern station) I was always given to understand that the North London Line was Stratford (originally North Woolwich) to Richmond.

I think it's perceived 'unfinished business' at Clapham from BML i.e. Adding in SWR layers so that you can get a truer experience of one of the busiest interchanges in Europe. Though I think the true potential of this will only be realised if DTG ever does a route out of London Waterloo.

I guess it just depends on the original marketing intention vs current route branding - whilst the NLL does indeed go to Richmond, the Mildmay Line covers both the NLL and WLL sections, so if the DLC was never marketed or specified to be the North London Line but instead just Mildmay, either Richmond or Clapham Jn would be equally valid hypothetical end points.

Clapham Junction would require the entire BML timetable to be simulated again and I don't think it's worth the hassle imo, i'd be happy with Richmond

Stratford Station - the eastern terminal of the upcoming Mildmay Line by IncredibleTrains (Johannes)

As you can see, the dense London skyline has been beautifully represented, with various important and recognisable landmarks being modelled.

Stratford station is non-stop with trains, with several services arriving and departing all day, making for a very busy scene.

You may have also seen other, rather iconic modes of TfL transport being featured here - more on this in another post.

Hope you guys like the screenshots.

(Please note, pictures seen are of a WIP route, which the final details and visuals may differ upon release)

This looks like it is going to be hard deciding whether to buy this route or the Cardiff City Network when they come out.

This route is looking absolutely stunning, I’m a bit out of touch with TSW at the moment (haven’t even picked Up TSG’s new route yet and have been looking forward to that for months). To dip into the forum and see these screen shots was a very pleasant surprise. It’s the area of London where I always stay when visiting the UK so regardless of it being short, I’m probably going to enjoy it. I quite like short stopping services, so this is likely going to become my go to - “Short Session after work” route.

    Really looking forward to it.

Stunning, the extra little details make all the difference. Nice to see realistic road traffic/markings/signs etc, something that's badly missing in TSW routes. Not a massive fan of the Suffragette line in TSW but this looks like a level up with all that extra AI. Well done.

Yes it would be nice to get a bit more info on the next Roadmap re release dates. If I had to make a guess I reckon…
NLL will come out in April.
    Cardiff possibly June.
The Dutch route, possibly around the same time unless it finds itself held over for part of TSW6.
The ATS route I think we can firmly say much later in the year, if at all, given recent revelations.
Tadami probably 2026 again if at all.

Where did the DLR model come from? The Greater Anglia services seem to come from the Suffragette Line, the Central Line services from the Bakerloo Line, but I can't figure out where the DLR model comes from. It looks really good!

Hyped for this one. Forgive my lack of London geographical knowledge- does this connect directly to Goblin? Like can we route hop?

I hope they’ll be the route hop function. There’s a connection with the Goblin Line at Gospel Oak and the Watford DC Line at Willesden Junction.

In December they also mentioned there would be a route hop at Stratford to hop to Stratford International on SEHS.

This is also an argument to extend to Clapham to give a 4th potential route hop to BML.

Other developers can't even be axxd to add appropriate available stock to their own routes, so it's something you can surely let off!

This fella has gone the full mile with detail like I've quite honestly never seen before. And this is his starter route! JT has competition for sure...

The DLR being AI is such a + and I really hope it's s network that can be playable in game. An entire full network and as I've mentioned previously if explored properly will make people realise there's more to it than what most people think. This mildmay route, despite being so short really is full of activity.

We’ve seen some of the scenery of the Dutch route already, so I don’t think they’re gonna hold it back for TSW6. It was announced before TSW5 even released, after all.

On the other hand, if something very vague is being added to the roadmap just now, it might be TSW6 launch content. The new unspecified German route could fall under that definition.

I was concerned about how empty Stratford might look, so I tip my hat at how busy it looks. I work round the corner from here, and there's some poetic licence on how many buses are running along that stretch of road at any one time. Also it would be good if the faux Greater Anglia trains had 10-car as well as 5-car services (as in real life). But overall I'm looking forward to an eventual preview stream.

I have a feeling it will be announced at least a week before the march roadmap (march 11). So let's hope you are right.
