Hey everyone, I just had a question in regards to this month's mastery challenge. I'm having a little bit of difficulty completing the "Heavy Rain" part of the mastery, despite that I have already done a couple of the official rain scenarios such as the flood scenario in the Gossip Oak route & one of the other rain scenarios in the LGV French route, but nothing has progressed in that part of the Mastery. If I am doing something wrong here or if anyone has any knowledge to which official rain scenarios in which TSW routes will work to count towards the "Heavy Rain" part of the mastery, then please do get in touch as soon as possible. Thank You.
I did one of the US freight runs on Sherman Hill, 323, Scotrail. This took me the whole month many times I had to leave my XB paused on a given service for hours due to Family matters.
complete that time table run first and see if the month challenge gets a complete medal it might just be that the heavy rain number got stuck at 0/5 it was stuck here too
It doesn't have to be a scenario. You can select a timetable run, even just a 5 min empty stock run, set the weather to heavy rain and that will count.
Set precipitation to max and it should work I think. As long as you also select custom weather rather than dynamic (important otherwise the rain will likely disappear after a few minutes).
Okay I tried setting both the rain & precipitation to maximum on a couple of short timetables. It’s saying I’ve completed my February mastery, yet my “Heavy Rain” part of the mastery is still saying it’s 0/5, am I still doing something wrong or does the timetable need to be longer for it to count???
Try exiting the game count to threee and go back into the game sometimes it needs that bit of time to update, and it needs to communicate with DTG Live.
Okay, I did exit the game with a more than five second gap & then re-enter back into TSW, but the “Heavy Rain” part of the mastery is still saying it’s 0/5. You could be possibly right that it will need time to update, but hopefully that’ll happen before February the 28th arrives.
And you are doing this on PC or Console, as I said in my earlier post I used Scotrail the Class 323 and Sherman Hill. And you tried doing as Oldvern said to adjust the rain setting, I did not try that cause I didn't think it would work, so I just stayed with Scenarios.

Sorry for the belated reply, I am using the PS5 for the whole entire time I have played TSW. Would that be having a ripple effect on the mastery glitch???
Honestly, I doubt it, but if anyone can answer this question, it would be DTG-Chris or someone else within the Dev team. I have seen many issues with the PS__ version of TSW, whereas XB and or PC versions did not have the issues, or the issues were very different.
Very strange, I have checked the Creator's Club and I have successfully obtained February's decal, but it's still not counting the Heavy Rain, despite doing plenty of timetables in "Rain Storm" or "Lightning Storm" settings.
Now that is odd, unless there was a bit of behind-the-scenes work done that assisted anyone with this one challenge. *wink, wink.
Hardly been on TSW at all last month, not very fun playing with texture issues and crashes. The wording on mastery often seems odd - "Complete 15 Timetables" for example really aught to be "Complete 15 Timetable Services"
