As the forum has grown alot in numbers since it started I thought it would be good to introduce ourselves and this thread is a space just to say hello and have a friendly chat on the forums.

    I'll start,
Hi there, my name is Nathan. I am from Kilmarnock, Scotland. I currently attend Ayrshire College studying Hospitality and plan to start a ScotRail Modern Customer service apprenticeship when I finish college. I also volunteer for the Scottish Railway preservation society in doing railtours and events. I will be starting my fireman training later in the year, thought helping passengers is my true passion. :)

I am a big advocate for Scottish Content in my game and you won't find it difficult to find my suggestions for Scottish routes and rolling stock. My local lines are the Ayrshire Coast and Glasgow Southwestern Line. And my favourite route is the west highland line.

A dream DLC for me would probably be a modern day west highland line as it's a line I travel on alot, I love the livery for the ScotRail class 153 and I think it's absolutely beautiful! Especially the Oban branch. An underrated part of the WHL.

Another dream DLC would be the Ayrshire Coast Line for me. It utilises the class 380, a train that is in the game and I'm very familiar with, and travels along the Scottish West Coast to the seaside county of Ayrshire. Bundled with the Inverclyde line this could be a brilliant and scenic Scottish mainline. :)

Nice to meet you. Tell me a bit about yourself? Where abouts in the world are you from? What would be your dream piece of content for TSW? How are you?

    From,
    Nathan. :)

P.S: If Devs want. Feel free to move this thread to off topic section. I understand this may be in the wrong area of the forum. Also Devs can feel free to respond below here too and introduce themselves. :)

I technically got it at first with TSW2020, but didn't play it much since the controls seemed wonky on PS4 and I had a lot of trouble understanding how the trains worked with the tutorials (big problem being I was jumping between different ones instead of just learning 1 loco/route). But then TSW2/Sand Patch Pulled me back in, and I found the forums/discord to help learn the game and the rest is history.

    Alright, why not?

Ello, my name is Will and I'm from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. I may or may not have a slight reputation for posting absolute walls of text, so thank you Nathan for actually giving me a real reason for once. :D My job is not so remarkable or railway related as of yet, primarily because this part of the country got absolutely buggered by the Beeching cuts. I do want to end up in railways though, and obvious and cliche though it may be, my dream is to drive. Once I'm in the cab I could happily stay there until I retire no matter how much or little I make, it is my one true life passion. I do however have a trio of heritage railways in my vicinity, and I plan to offer myself up as tribute a volunteer in the future.

I've been a heavy gamer for many years, and have been playing train sims for just as long, my first one ever being Trainz UTC. I jumped into Train Sim World in 2020 just in time to see the launch of the Class 20, and have been a big player of it since. I will hold my hands up and say that probably because of having such a strong passion for the railways, I have an unrelenting commitment to at the very least own the entire UK collection as it grows. I do also have Hornby railway models, not a very big collection but I'm particularly proud of having recently acquired a very beautiful model of Evening Star.

I'm told I have quite 'retro' tastes for someone of my age, early to mid 20s. Some examples: My favourite train is a Class 37, my dream car is a classic style Mini, my dream bike is a Triumph Bonneville, I prefer the perfectly imperfect sound quality of music on vinyl, you get the idea.

But I'm stuck with a Vauxhall Corsa, that modern piece of--

For me, my dream DLC would be a network type of route set in the Welsh valleys. I'll attach below an image I edited up of my own vision for such a route. I was from and later returned to Suffolk, but much of my early childhood pre-teens was spent living in Merthyr Tydfil, and much of that was spent riding old Arriva Sprinters and Pacers down the valley lines, through Cardiff Central and to the beach at Barry Island. The funny thing is if the route were to be set in the time period I remember, we already have the three primary trains which could be featured on it - 142 Pacer, 150/2 Sprinter, and 37. So I can imagine its highlight features being the Pacer with newer fittings such as the two panel doors rather than the earlier four panel, the 150/2 with overhauled physics, and perhaps a different subtype of 37 like the /4, Arriva and EWS respectively.

Some might wonder why I say 37, and the reason is so we don't get another EWS 66. I too am sick of them. In this case it wouldn't just be thrown in for the sake of it, the EWS 66 legitimately belongs around Cardiff in this time period. My thought is simply take advantage of the time period of the late 2000s and give us something else EWS.

Alternatively, of course I would like a route from my present region in the far east. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I would actually be interested to see one in the present day. The reason for this is I think that the 755s look so unique and interesting, electric and diesel bi-mode with the diesel engines mounted upright into a central car rather than flat beneath the coaches themselves. To satisfy variety, maybe set it around 2019 or 2020 when the 745s and 755s were just coming in, overlapping with the last of the 90s, MK3s and DVTs on the way out.

That'll be it from me before I ramble on too long, because I really can sometimes. Very nice to meet you all!

Hi! My name is Elliott, I live in Llandudno Junction, North Wales.
I don't go to any college at the moment since I'm still doing my GCSEs in school, of which I picked history, art and design tech.. sadly the three options I WANTED to pick (geography, french and IT) weren't available due to there not being enough students interested. Typical. :(

I plan to do some train driver apprenticeships once I'm old enough to do them, I've found a few promising ones, and I hope to drive for Colas Rail once I'm able and ready to do so!

I started playing TSW towards to tail end of TSW2: Rush Hour's life. My two dream DLCs would be my local line - the North Wales Coast Mainline, preferably set in the modern era, with 175s, 158s, 153s, 150s and the WAG sets available, plus freight to and from Penmaenmawr and Llandudno Junction.. this would somewhat prepare for the future if I end up driving in this area. The other dream DLC would be a Colas Rail pack (an idea I came up with myself) - which would add 2-3 Colas locos into the game; ideally a Class 70, a Class 56 and a 37.. yet again to prepare for the future in knowing the cab layout and controls (as best as possible.. considering it's only in a game.)

Anyway yeah, that's a brief little summary about myself - I've probably missed some stuff out but in my defence, I'm half asleep at the moment! :D

    Hi at all!
I'm Fabio, I came from Italy and still playing TSW from it's first release.
I'm working for the national rail network company and usually build route on TSC but, after the editor came out last year, I'm doing the same here.
I've got a lot of unexpected relaxing time driving on TSW, I'm usually building route in the editor before this sim came out and now I'm interested on that content.
It's always nice driving in UK but there's something which doesn't convincing me at all, maybe something with the speed limit that changes without a proper advice? But I'm not an expert how it works so it can be mine fault....
Now I'm trying to expand my knowledge on the DB system driving there, especially on the last Salzburg Rosenhaim route

May as well throw my hat in the ring and say a bit about myself for fun. :D

For privacy's sake I'd rather not tell my real name on the forums. With that said, I'm from Glasgow. I've been into trains for as long as I can remember honestly. The oldest memory of the railway I have is standing on the platform of Bellgrove with my gran on a wet day and watching a Class 303 rattle into the station. This was when the 334s were just about to enter service if I remember right.

In November 2016 I left secondary school and joined a work placement programme with ScotRail at Glasgow Central. March 2017 rolled around and I was offered full time employment with ScotRail working gateline at Central Station. Of course, I instantly said yes!

The Covid pandemic sadly put an end to my time on the railway, but it was fun while it lasted and I do have plans to go back on the railway and become a guard before going for a driver role.

I've been around for a while, since the days of Railworks 2. Made quite a few scenarios for the OG Edinburgh - Glasgow route before publishing them to the Steam Workshop. I joined TSW when the GWE was announced since CSX heavy haul wasn't my cup of tea, I'm only into UK stuff.

If my username wasn't obvious enough, my favourite train is of course the Class 170 Turbostar! I love how they sound and they are without a doubt my favourite unit to travel on besides the Intercity 225 sets.

My dream DLC would have to be the entire East Coast Mainline running from Edinburgh Waverley to London King's Cross complete with the Class 91. But, with how resource heavy some TSW routes are and how expensive it would be, not to mention time consuming, a dream is all it'll be sadly. Oh well, one can dream!

So there you have it, a little bit about myself. More than happy to answer any questions you or anyone on the forum may have! :)

I've got nothing to lose, so here goes.

Name's Jane. From Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire (whether or not I'm still there I'll let you figure out). I clean trains at a station in East Yorkshire which I've been doing for around 18 months now. Used to work in my local council as an administrator. but trains are more fun to work with; in a few years I hope to be driving those trains instead of cleaning them.

Trains have been a part of my life since, well forever, thanks to Thomas the Tank Engine (which is still a big part of my life today).

Started with TSW in early 2020 (with whatever version was available on the Xbox store) and been here ever since. Nowadays, I still play, but not as much (mostly due to work as I spend a lot of time asleep). I want my local railway in TSW (unlikely unless they get the TPE license).

I've probably missed something, but that's the basics. Have a question, or want to know more, and I may answer.

    Hi all!

My name is Roman. I am relatively new to this forum. I currently live on the Inverclyde line (not literally).
I am waiting the SQA results day to find out if I am admitted to university for computing science course.
Before TSW I did not know that I like trains. A couple of years ago, TSW2 was free on Epic and I started playing. Then I bought the third iteration on Steam and so on... now I am angry because all my dlcs are on Steam, and Bakerloo line (one of my favourite) is on Epic, so my perfectionism forces me to buy BL on steam.
My dream route would be Inverclyde line, or, at least, Ayrshire coast line.

Hi! I’m Morgan (last name) and I'm from Manchester.

I’m in the middle of a gap year at the moment but I hope to start working on the Railway in the near future. Being a train driver and/or being around railways has been my ultimate goal since I was little and it all started Thomas the tank engine; since then my fascination with trains has continued to grow.

My experience with trains sims started out with non- commentary videos and the most important of them was London - Faversham, before I knew what HS1 was or the 395, then it was YouTubers like Qwerty Afro, Squirrel and Moleman987. Then I heard there was a new train sim was coming to console and was hooked instantly and the rest is history. My railways knowledge has expanded massively since then and I really only have TSW to thank for that.

My dream route for TSW is Liverpool - Manchester via Chat Moss with the Class 323 and more importantly the 319 although I wouldn’t be opposed to it coming with TPE stock instead. And a network route centred around Manchester is something I’d also like to see ‘Manchester Branches’ or something like that.

Pleased to 'meet' all of you ^.^

My name is Dave, I live in Western Canada close to the Rocky Mountains. I've played TSW from the beginning, and train sims since Railworks (I missed out on the MSTS craze). I really enjoy UK rail (especially the history), and German rail. I tend to ignore the TSC/TSW North American stuff since I use Run 8 to sim in NA, although I do have some of the DLC (for ex. Oakville).

As I'm retired, I seem to have a bit more time for other games too, like MMO's, RPGs, TTRPGs, and TT wargaming (I still have Space Marines from 1988 lol). Cheers!

I won't post my real name, just for privacy reasons.

But I will say, I'm a South Londoner. I've played since the release of Rail Simulator back in 2007. And before that, MSTS with the original London South Coast the series which released in 2006! So I've see how far railway simulation has come and followed it since it's early days.

I'm a keen railway enthusiast (my expertise is in most things British, and my particular area of interest is Southern Region Electrics, particularly slamdoor units I remember from my childhood), I'm also a heritage emergency service vehicle enthusiast and love Rover SD1 traffic and area cars, and Metropolitan Police related vehicles specifically. My other hobbies include my animals, and I own Guinea Pigs and Chickens which I absolutely adore. So quite an odd mixture of things...

I ont post my name but I live in US i been on the planet since the 1960s was born in western Pennsylvania in Bessemer and Lake Erie country that was where my love for trains began .as a kid i got into trouble with my mother a few times i was so curious abut trains i would wonder off to to the tracks without her permission i would come home with coal dust on me from the passing coal trains , she knew where i had been..also had a cab ride in a SD9 lococmotive when i was 12xthe engineer let me use the throttle and blow the horn i remember him telling me not to touch or move the brake levers and that the train brakes are the more complex part of running a train requires training and skills to operate properly...anyways as for TSW i got into it when TSW 2 was on console and CSX heavy haul route and it being a route near my home turf where i grew up Horseshoe curve route was Quickly purchsed also then i quickly bought all the US freight routes after that then passenger but im odd man out here freight is my preference. I love learning to run all the various locomotives old and new i do like the uk and eu stuff took me a while to warm up too it

    Might aswell hop onto this..

Hello! I’m Tom, I’m from Wiltshire. (not gonna say which specific place)
I am both a rail enthusiast and a trainspotter, but i don’t know what to call myself… Do i call myself A Railspotter? IDK. Unsuprisingly, i got into trains from Thomas the Tank Engine and train spotting from seeing 6233.
My favourite british locos (mu excluded) are the 59’s and 66’s
My Favourite Multiple unit is the 166
Favourite Foreign loco is the BR 110.
My dream place to live is either Crewe or Carlisle.

(still practicing with AFB, LZB, PZB and SIFA)

My dream route for TSW is The Wessex mainline Salisbury - Bath Spa. Any time period would be fine :D.

Class 37s on highland routes on Vac braked stock. Also 26s, 40s, 50s, 56s, in Germany 232s and 218s. Anything else is a contest between watching paint dry and going to the dentist...

    My name will stay private.

Been train simming since the Cabview driver early 90s right through to now.

Hello everyone, I'm Stefano (Call me Steve!) and I'm from Northern Italy. Between Bergamo and Milan. Since I was very young (I'm not that young anymore... :() I've had a great passion for trains and transport in general (buses, planes, cars etc...). My approach to railways began after school. I started as a mechanic and electrical engineer inside a train maintenance plant. Then I moved away (sadly...) from this fantastic world for a while... Then, 2 years ago, I returned to my "house" again, entering the administrative/organizational sector of a private freight transport company. Today, basically, I'm an employee! In my free time, among many other things, I love trainspotting and simulators. I also love music, especially the mid 70's/early 90's period. I've a large collection of '7 and '12 vinyl, cassettes and original CDs. I've some model trains too. I love cars, especially those before the 90's. I currently own a 1976 Fiat X1/9 Silohuette car. Also had a Lotus Elise Mk1 (UK RHD) in the past!
My local route is the Milan-Venice Main Line (Milan-Verona section).
My favorite train: E.655/656 "Caiman" articulated, electric locomotive :love::love::love:
I've been playing TSW since 2018, but previously with Train Simulator since 2006/07. I've also played MSTS (I'm a veteran!). Still playing Open Rails (not so much), TSC and TSW!
Oh, almost forgot! I also love Scottish, Welsh, French, German and Swiss railways!
The route I'd like to see in TSW? Well, let's say a nice Swiss route, an ordinary SNCF one, or my Jonica (Puglia) and Riviera (Genoa-Ventimiglia or Genoa-La Spezia) railways!
And why not, a BR era route (80s-90s), maybe West Highland (one of the most fascinating places in the world IMO ).
PS. I've a weakness for my beloved Brescia-Iseo-Edolo, which you can find in my suggestions!
Pleased to meet you all! :):)

I’m Florian, and am from Hamburg. I grew up in Sydney, Australia and got into trains because my father was a avid railfan (both real & model trains).

I stared playing TSW2 in late 2021, but it took me a while to really get hooked. A bit of rage quitting here & there in the early days :D. It wasn’t until early 2022 that I really got into it thanks to Sand Patch.

    Hello, I'm William

I live in the West Midlands, UK.

Retired old fart who used to work for Central Trains (Dispatcher at Birmingham New Street 2001-2007), and Network Rail (2007-2023).

Been playing Train Sim Classic since around 2016 when I first discovered WCML North and WCML over Shap, and been both loving and moaning about DTG, TSC and TSW ever since... My kids were never big train fans, so could never get them interested in railways, but I'm slowly working on my grandsons now.

EDIT: Also possibly the biggest Class 304 EMU fan on the planet.

Eric here been playing since 2020. Have all the dlc but not the x mas one. Well I had the x mas one on my other Xbox account plus the whole entire tsw collection. But started a new Xbox account and repurchased all my tsw collection again bummer uh. First started with flight sim for a good long time. Then went on to tsw which was very interesting real world sim.

    Hello everyone!

My name's Jesse, I'm originally from the northwest corner of Connecticut but currently live in the Hudson Valley of New York State. My wife and I got married last October and will start shopping for a home in the next year or so, probably closer to the Albany area, where I plan to start layouts for my HO/OO and Lego 9V trains. While trains are my passion, I've worked for a farm and light construction dealership for nearly fifteen years in the parts and service departments. My wife and I both enjoy traveling, especially by train. My local rail lines are the Amtrak Empire Service on the Hudson Division and the Metro-North Harlem Line, so we have easy access to New York City and the Northeast Corridor. We really enjoy taking the Acela for long weekends in Boston, but have also taken the train to DC a few times, and we fly to Disney World every two to three years. At some point we plan on taking the Maple Leaf to Toronto for a long weekend, as well as exploring Amtrak's other long distance services. We also have plans to travel overseas eventually, and I'd like to explore the heritage rail lines of the UK.

None of my family was really into trains, so no one can really explain how I got so into it. My dad likes to tell people I was a "train buff straight from the womb" lol. Growing up in Connecticut basically conditioned me into a New Haven Railroad fan, with ghosts of the fallen flag found all across the state. I spent a lot of time at the Danbury Railroad Museum and Naugatuck Railroads, and my grandparents would take me for several trips on the Harlem Line. My parents would also take me on several trips to Boston when I was younger and I spent many years riding the Green Line and watching purple commuter trains.

MSTS was my first train simulator when it released in the early 00's and I spent much of my pre-teen years using it as a learning tool and a gateway to learning not just how to drive trains, but the history and technical information of trains from the US, the UK, Europe, and Asia. After discovering file libraries on Train-Sim and UKTrainsim my desire for furthering my knowledge only burned hotter.

Through my teens I learned more about sources for freeware and payware, modifying ENG files to provide default trains with better sounds and cab-views, and even got one of the fantastic Raildriver controllers. I also dabbled in Trainz for a long time, reskinning trains and route-building, but MSTS was always my sim of choice for a realistic driving experience. Eventually DTG's Train Simulator had become the new player in the industry, which I quickly adopted and to this day have accumulated a massive collection of content for both TSC and TSW.

Aside from trains and travel my wife and I are both pretty big nerds. We both play D&D regularly, I as a Kenku Bard and she as a Gnome Sorcerer. I'm big into Star Wars and have started getting into 90's/00's Star Trek, having watched through Voyager and am about halfway through DS9. She's big into Harry Potter and Doctor Who, with Capaldi being her favorite in the re-boot (for classic I like Baker the best, and tie between Smith and Tenant for re-boot). We both like to cook and try new foods, and we enjoy going to see comedians in Albany (most recently Daniel Sloss, Brad Williams, and Jimmy Carr). We both like to read, and I enjoy playing Xbox when I get free time. Aside from TSW I enjoy the older Halo games, Fallout, the Forza series, Farming Sim, Outer Worlds, etc... mostly sims and shooters that tell stories. We both enjoy building Lego, and I have some pretty large Star Wars dioramas I've building upon over the years. We're also very much dog people and are dog-parents to a tan pitbull and yellow lab.

To finish this winded response off, my dream TSW route would be the Amtrak & CT Rail Hartford-Springfield Line with the freight branch to Bradley Airport included.

Hi all, I'm William. I am from Norway and have been playing TSW since the beta in 2016. I have been interested in trains for as long as I can remember, and gaming is my favourite way to enjoy them these days. I tinkered with some model railroading as a kid, but I quickly realized that it was too expensive and not as immersive as simulators. In addition to TSW I have also accumulated many hours in the Trainz and TSC franchises.

My dream route would probably be my local line, but as for content that has a chance of appearing I would love to see a Class 86/87 or the Hudson line. I am an advocate for more rolling stock DLCs as I enjoy routes more when they have a more complete rail scene. My interest in trains used to be mainly centred around Scandinavian and British trains, but over time other countries' trains have captured my interest as well, largely due to TSW.

Hello, I´m Freddie (atleast it´s my Fursona´s name - I never used my original name, just name me Freddie)

And you might already guessed it - I´m a Furry! I live in Upper Austria and was always a fan of animals but also of trains. I like to draw pictures (feel free to watch my DeviantArt site for that: https://www.deviantart.com/freddietheshepherd ), write stories and craft paper models (I already built a 1:160 Titanic out of paper and cardboard and started and thread to some paper trains in the Off Topic section). I also have a nice little Märklin model railway, as well as a whole Lego city- with trains of course:))

My interest was sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker. I got TSW2 back in march 2021 as a gift and got really into it - although my PC was very much like a potato these days, so I had not so much fun at the start. I thought about giving it up, but the ICE 3 held me back and so I tried again. Soon, I bought my first DLC, Ruhr Sieg Nord. Then, I really had to think about which route I buy, because I wanted as many different trains as possible - the route wasn´t so important for me. With the time, I enjoyed TSW more and more, got a better PC and bought more and more DLCs. TSW then really got my interest for trains back in my life and teached me very much about trains, signals and more. I don´t really have a preferred TSW country, as I like German, Austrian, Swiss, British and American trains all the same - so I have a little bit of everything which I drive regularly week for week.

Some people here could already have heard/seen of the Almtalbahn - my PC Editor project. I like building in the Editor really much and for me, it´s so much fun. I also like designing liveries in TSW - I have started an thread about that in the Creators Club section.

I also enjoy playing Tomb Raider a lot, as well as Spyro the Dragon. I have become an absolute fan of the two in the last year:D

I have also a bunny as a pet - I don´t say his name here, because he is named after a YouTuber, but he is already 8 years old and faced several diseases and illneses - but he is a little "fighter" how we call him:love:

    Have a nice day

I may as well, since I'd like to be more active on here.

Hi all, my name is Ceci Asa. I'm an American (unfortunately) and I'm a Novice Steam Locomotive Enthusiast.

Admittedly, my preference for steam locos leans more towards the British, as they have more of a variety then us Americans down (by at least a hundred IMO). Plus, I'm also a fan of the RWS, by Reverend Wilbert Awdry.

I first learned about TSW3 via a trailer they did for their Spirit of Steam DLC, which I later got. I also pre-purchased TSW4 and brought the first TSW when it was on sale in steam. I actually made some custom liveries of Gordon, Henry, James and Edward in the TSW4 game, using the Fowler 4F, the Stanier Jubilee and the Flying Scotsman models respectively. I posted my Gordon Livery up for download in the Creator's Community and am planning on doing more uploads in the future. I also use TSW4 for my NWR Shenanigans (a mini-series I make for fun on Tiktok) and the game's screenshot feature for edits like this:
    upload_2024-8-2_22-31-16.png
(Faces were drawn on and the models were also made by me in Vroid)
If I'm being honest, I'm not so much interested in the routes then I am in the locos themselves. And I do wish that they would add more steam locomotives, be they from America or the UK. If I had to chose which Locos I would like to see, they would be Pere Marquette 1225, SP 4449 "Daylight or UP Big Boy 4014 from America, or a GNR Stirling Single, a Caledonian Railway Class 812 0-6-0, or a Jinty Class tank engine. Any one will do and I'll be happy.

I draw and post art on Tumblr, DeviantArt and sometimes Instagram and TwitterX. I also like shows like RWBY, TTTE and games like LOTRO and Twisted Wonderland (I'm nuts about fantasy stuff LOL). My family has a pet cat named Snowball.

And that's all I've got, hope you and your caramel Popcorn have a nice day!!!

This sounds like a dating agency for trainspotters gone off the rails!

The only personal information I’m giving is that I’m bordering on an old fart and I live in SE London! I work part time as pet sitter in private homes across London. I have been playing TSW since its inception and still play TS just as much, also Trainz 22 and Railroader.
But I’m far from being obsessed with trains, though I do occasionally film them and also go to heritage railway gala’s - by train of course! I don’t need a car as I get a free Oyster travel card living in London.
I’m also equally at home walking beside a canal or visiting some Roman Villa or castle, or hiring a car and driving across Europe.
I especially enjoy fishing games too which are very relaxing, I fished myself for 30 + years, though aside from Bassmaster 2022, sadly not the DTG ones.
I also enjoy all the Total War range of strategy games especially the amazing Warhammer 3, Pharaohs Dynasties and Rome 2. I do enjoy strategy as it makes the brain work, Age of Wonders 4 is another favourite.
As for trains I am well placed in London to see many from all over England. My local regularly seen ones are Southern 377’s and 171’s, London Overground 378’s, Thameslink 700’s, SE 465’s, 375’s, 395’s, 707’s, SW Railway 444’s, 450’s,
    158’s/159’s, 455’s, 458’s.
Those are just my most local ones.

Hi I'm Daniel and I live in the southwest. I've been playing TSW since the Founders pack was released in, I think, 2019.
I've more or less bought every DLC and this game is pretty much all I play in my spare time now.
I enjoy choosing a route and really getting into the timetable services and learning the route to the point I can drive it hudless.
I think my favorite route is probably Cathcart Circle.
As regards what DLC I would like to see next... I think the game is screaming out for some more modern UK freight locomotives. Anything from Class 56,60,67,68,69,70 would be a great addition. I am getting kind of fed up that every modern UK freight train has to be hauled by a Class 66.
    Anyway thanks for reading.

This is what I was going to write:

Hi, I’m Alice, I’m a Class 455 of SW Railway. I’m a bit mature now and not like those fancy young air conditioned things, but I look nice in my red, blue and yellow livery. I can still turn heads you know.
I’ve been told I’ve got a lovely pair of bumpers, perhaps not the smoothest ride but reliable. Just don’t ride me too often as I start to squeak after a bit.
I’m really looking for a nice vintage diesel. Something gruff and growly. I like a partner that knows he’s in charge and leaves a trail of dirty smoke behind him. That really tickles my shoes.
I have a weakness for BR blue as I think I’m colourful enough for both of us. We’ll make a fine pair together, and if you can’t get going on a cold morning, fear not as I’m much easier to start, even at my age, though I’m a spring chicken compared to you. I’ll be your toy girl.
Applications to SW Railway storage sidings, adjacent to Clapham Junction.

    Hello everybody,

My name is Paulo, I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. Since I was little, I've always been fascinated by trains, especially electric trains. My first contact with train simulators was with MSTS, then with BVE playing on the famous Birmingham Cross City route. I played one of the first Railworks, and I played it for a long time, until the release of TSW, where I am today.

I like the English routes best due to their immensity and variety of rolling stock, as well as others around the world, but mainly for passengers, I'm not a big fan of freight trains

My dream in life is to be able to visit the United Kingdom and see in person some of the routes I play at TSW, maybe one day...

Hi everyone, haven't posted much before but from time to time, I do read some of the threads to see what the latest topics of discussion are.

Anyway, I'm a born and raised Londoner still living there, in Brixton to be precise, and I'm probably one of the more casual players of the game. Trains isn't my main hobby by any stretch, having only really got into them somewhat into them during the pandemic (which is when I picked up TSW2), with buses my actual hobby from since I was little and my other passions are football (I'm an Arsenal fan) & video games. Anything train wise from the London area is right up my street so yes that includes Electroliners which I know is controversial on here :D but I do like the Scotrail stuff as well having had a couple of rides up there when staying with family in Glasgow (The 318 & 320 on the Balloch Line were both enjoyable, along with a 170 to Stirling).

If I had a dream DLC, then something similar to the South London Network DLC found on TSC and one away from my area would be the electrified parts of the West Highland Line with the 318 and/or 320.

Yeah, I'm gonna keep my personal self private, just know I've been here for a few years, and mainly dab in US freight and US content.

My life outside of this forum isn't important here.

Hello everyone. My name is Daniel and I’m from East Anglia in the UK. Have played Train Sim World since it first came to consoles as the Founders Edition. My interest in trains began at 3 years old when I was taken to Ipswich Station on the Great Eastern Main Line. Back then Class 86 Electric Locomotives and Mk2 coaches were the order of the day on Norwich - London services. Having any part of the GEML in the electric era before the FLIRT units were introduced in TSW would be awesome. :)

I'm Marc, I'm 41 from UK. I've been into the Rail network all my life. My dad worked on the railways and was based at Leicester depot.

As I can't afford a Gaming PC and with my Dyspraxia would find it too complex anyway I've always been a console user. So I purchased TSW when it was first released.

Nothing will hold up to the classic that was Rome: Total War!
I close my eyes and still hear the Julii intro scene.

I'm *insert secret identity here* from sunny ol' Essex. Not a huge fan of trains (other than dodging them in my day to day job), but a big simulator fan as a whole.
Usually spend my time hiking the National trails of England or the Great Trails of Scotland, with the occasional break to keep to the infrastructure ticking over.

Hello there! My name is Aleksey. I'm from Ukraine. Just another not young guy, lover of grumbling. English is not my native language(what a surprise!), so sometimes I can sound like aliexpress.
As a child, I dreamed of two professions: a train driver and a firefighter. But my health conditions did not allow me to reach any of this. My first train simulators was a Trainz and Railworks 2. Of course, I dreamed of seeing Ukrainian railways in TSW. Until February 2022, the chances were about 0%, but now they are generally negative.
What I love to drive in TSW is US and UK RR. Love US stuff because it's huge, mighty with impressing history, amazing routes and landscapes, and ofcourse cause it's horns blows. love UK stuff because of AP addons for TSC and very natural friendly AWS, plus UK branches are so cozy and awesome. Also British loves their RR heritage so much that this only inspires respect.
Not a fan of Zwangsbremsung, sorry. PZB looks very safe, but very uncomfortable to me. But BR 220 or BR 232 will be insta buy, because it's Ukrainian(USSR) diesels.
Being a realist, I would really like to see the Czech Republic as a new region in TSW.

    Take care folks!

Following the poll's results, it seems that the playerbase overwhelmingly consists of loyal customers and TSW has failed to acquire new players, if you take the forum participants as a representative group. Rules of statistics dictate the overall distribution percentage will not change significantly any more.

Actually one of the few meaningful polls.

Not quite the start (which was CSX Heavy Haul) but the first main game for Xbox (the version with Paddington to Reading). This was before TSW2020 which was a free core upgrade with optional routes. So I don’t fit any of the options in the poll.
Before that I had played MSTS, BVE and Train Simulator (now known as TS Classic).

Been onboard since the 2020 version.

My name is Stefan, I'm originally from Cornwall and later Southampton, UK but now live in Australia (Central Coast, NSW).

Grew up in Cornwall and in the 70's/80's era was an avid trainspotter, sorry, rail enthusiast! Been in the cab of every Class 50, marked off every Class 43 in my little book amongst many others :)

I also had a large model railway in the attic of my house in Southampton before emigrating over 10 years ago.

I am a die hard BR Blue fan, though in TSW I do like the modern EMU's, very smooth to operate :)

waaagh :D ... a quick question before I actually introduce myself - how can you sneak Ukrainian script into Livery designer? I would like to add some inscriptions to my Ukrainian-themed livery (which already has a cool trident, tho not a perfect one and my own rendition of sunflower) :)

anyway, I am Miroslav Kizák (listing my full name here so you can find me on Facebook if you want to) and am from Slovakia. Not too young anymore :D ... as for railways, I have always liked trains, but I really fell headfirst into it when Covid started and I wanted to try TS, but couldnt get into it, so I tried TSW and as time went on I learned most signalling and safety shenanigans :) ... which also made me a train/railways/transport fan IRL to the point where if my German didnt suck I would readily apply for a job of raildriver at OBB, cos I love German and Austrian trains and railways... such a shame that UK is so far and that they are no longer in EU, which would make applying and everything much easier :D
I like almost all stuff in this game, maybe except Swiss, but thats cos most of that content is just mountain railways :D ... as for dream routes, I would love more Austrian content, especially Vienna area :)

as for the rest of me, I love playing video games, reading mostly fantasy or scifi, listening to metal music, but also other genres... anyways, if any of you wanna talk more about anything, you can find me very easily on Facebook and chat there... just introduce yourself and say you are from this forum so I dont trash your request :D
