Route South Devon Mainline

The South Devon Mainline goes right across the south Devon coast with some beautiful scenery such as dawlish beach and the historic Totnes castle.
The route will start from Exeter St Davids to go as far as Plymouth.

Locos:
Class 43 castle hsts
Class 166/165
Class 158
Class 150

 

Could we also have the Riviera Line maybe? Would be a shame to miss it out as its services share tracks from Newton Abbot to Exeter.

Would also give more to do, and give a more network feel to the route.

 

Riviera line is partly on that route but then obviously branches of at Newton Abbot

 

This is definitely a route overdue for TSW, as said the Riviera line would be ideal to have alongside. I would love for this route to come but with licensing issues we may not see it until the Nationalization soon, great suggestion though!

 

Yeah it's agreed totally as it’s area I visit frequently for spotting as I’m not far away from it

 

yeah the cons for this nationalization is the long wait for TSW5 uk routes

 

Class 802,800,220(221) would make this a perfect route. Aswell as Railtours

 

What freight though. South of Westbury rarely sees freight there is only 2 these days Exeter Riverside To Whatley Quarry and Burngollow Junction to Exeter Riverside

would be nice to have a route that would use the HST train for more than just a half an hour run

Yeah also get the new mk3's

 

4 car sliding door mk3s would be pretty cool
