Just did an initial run, and will post a couple of screenshots this evening of a couple of bugs. One thing that did find jarring was the track gradient changes at Stratford where the LU line drops down. Not in one's direct line of vision from the 378 driver's cab but nevertheless immersion-breaking.
Loving the route so far, the level of detail is awesome and it feels alive. Couple of things of note: •Aforementioned fan got lost from its housing. •Some signals don’t proc AWS, eg NL1275 and NL1250 among others.
I noticed this as well. The text boxes also pop up twice. It also happens on the first scenario "Route Learning". [edited - I've taken out the bit about the doors being open at the start of 'Route Learning' I knocked the right d pad when (playing on pc using a controller) putting the train into Neutral , duh!!!]
First impressions rather good. Busy suburban network, lots of traffic, plenty of detail. A few bits here and there that could do with improving but doesn't matter. Started at Stratford, didn't make it to Wilsden as I went exploring the places I shouldn't be. Surprised to see a fully modelled St Pancras and an almost modelled Kings Cross. The train ride is a bit bumpy. Feels more like the dlr. That definitely needs sorting out. Apart from that, ace's.
Very good impression, only remark the texts displayed in the tutorials and scenarios tend to be displayed twice (already observed on other content recently), and sometimes are displayed too long or not long enough.
After losing about 50% of the layers I was able to do a full service with no issues at all on XBoxSX. If consoles can’t use the full layers it would be handy to be able to save layer settings rather than having to manually set it every time you play. Slightly disappointing the amount of invisible walls and some stations with no entrance/exits. Also station signage/roundels are inconsistent - They look great at some stations and misaligned at others. I know these are relatively small issues, but they do add up and make a big difference for immersion, for me at least. Johannes has done some fantastic work here though, just hope it gets more polished over time.
Not sure if it's been mentioned but 2N02 Willesden Junction to Stratford, the doors on the rear carriage don't open. This is on PS5
I have had another play through doing some collectable hunting. I have noticed the following little issues. At Hamstead Heath. You have to "rub yourself" along this wall to trigger a newspaper collectable. You can not see it, not sure if it's in the wall or the other side. After gaining 100 collectables I found myself with a newspaper missing but an extra fire extinguisher!! Finally not sure what's happening here at Willesden Depot. I think the 378 was hungry.....
Blurry textures at various points on the route, also passengers being visible and then disappearing! Saw this a lot at Stratford! A distinct lack of passengers also on the route, although this has been flagged multiple times already. Playing on PS5.
I will add, Johannes you have done a fabulous job, the route design is excellent and feels very immersive. The issues I've flagged are presumably core ones.
Have you looked at Dalston Kingland Fire extinguisher . Spawn at the station make sure you are on the platform for Willsden Richmond bound services. Ealk towards the end of the platform Jump down to track level. Walk past the end of the platform and turn left its on the flat area of ground up against the retaining wall beside the other track. Hope this helps. Hentis
They exist on PlayStation, even Cardiff City Commuter and Spoorlijn Zwolle - Groningen have their trophies populated already, so definitely an error for Mildmay Line not to have achievements on Xbox.
Yep, got that one, thanks anyway. As I said in the post I've got 26 fire extinguishers and 24 newspaper racks. It still add's to 100 so I'm not too bothered but those who have 99 collectables and think they are missing a news paper rack might want to go back and check the extinguishers,
Fantastic route, very pleased with it! Just one minor immersion breaker - any chance we can get the pantographs raised on the AI Aventras at Stratford?
So far really enjoying the route. Just one thing that actually is only indirectly related to the Mildmay Line DLC: The route hopping markers to the Mildmay Line are missing: For example I can hop from the Mildmay Line to the WCML South at Willesden Junction but I cannot hop from the WCML to the Mildmay Line… this goes for every combination (Stratford and Camden Road for SEHS and Gospel Oak for the Goblin). I was trying to do a little journey around London but it got stuck there… I know this issue isn‘t exclusive to the Mildmay Line, it‘s already present between the WCML South and Bakerloo Line plus while you can hop from either Victoria, Euston and St. Pancras to each other and Paddington there is no hopping marker at the latter to get back to WCML, SEHS and LBN… I expect that to be solved soon though because the GWE remaster is somewhere around the corner but the one way barriers for hopping are really annoying.
I'm still seeing no discount for Xbox Game Pass. Would love to know when this will be applied as I'm waiting to buy the route.
Had a chance to tinker with the two training scenarios last night on the Series X. I'd like to parrot the issues with the repeating dialog for both the route introduction and the 378 training session. This same issue is also present in both the Mittenwaldbahn and F59PH DLC, and seems like it's becoming the new normal. In addition to this (and I think someone else mentioned it in an earlier post), to start the route intro it prompts you to press "E", obviously absent on consoles. Stratford had almost no passengers at all when I started the intro, and the train itself was completely devoid of life. I do believe this has been mentioned as a core issue, however? I also question the training for the 378 being on the outer high speed loop of the TC. Wouldn't it have been more appropriate for it to run on the inner "metro" loop due to the nature of the route it regularly operates on? Not to sound rude, but it seems quality checks since TSW5's release, especially on console, are completely lacking.
I re run the 'Route Learning' Scenario as it didn't register on my mastery (yep I did go over 40mph). Is it actually possible to get gold or platinum on this. I had safety systems turned on. I think you need something like 5800 for gold and 6000 for platinum. I'm going to try attempt 3 later (fingers crossed).
I have encountered a few of the glitches previously mentioned, but one I have not seen mentioned is the banner repeater for signal NL 1315 will show the signal is off but when signal NL 1315 comes in to view it has been at danger. This has happened twice and seems to be the case whenever NL 1315 is showing a danger aspect.
l was going out of my wits end, continuously searching for the missing newspaper stand and have asked an unanswered question to DTG and others, so glad to see you have the same as me. I wondered if it was right or not? Enjoying the route though.
On PC. On the first journey after loco training, called "Route Learning" I follow all the instructions to set up the train. But after applying power, nothing happens (other than the wheelslip indicator and sanding light come on).
Just did the 12:16 EWR Freight Service from Peterborough to Tonbridge West Triggered TPWS brake demand on NL1111 and NL1043 despite both showing approach and less than 20mph.
I've done the scenario twice now and found try pulling away in notch 1 or 2, it seams to work a lot better but can take a few seconds to pull away it isn't instant for some reason.
I've tried notch 1 or 2 - I'm sitting there for several minutes with nothing happening. Will reboot and try again, but the same thing was happening each time for the three initial attempts.
Same problem by me. Soluce : Post 146 from ""hells.high.lord666" ---- wait for brake pressure to build up in the reservoir
I've just done my third run and tried notches 1 & 2 first. Got the same as you. The i accidently knocked it into neutral, put it back in forwards and straight to 3. That got it moving. I don't know if just putting it straight into 3 might help. I recorded the full run and will be putting it on YouTube shortly (I'll put a link in this post). I did a really clean run and just made it to gold (with safety systems enabled), I don't know if platinum is possible. The Scenario is still not recording on the Mildmay Mastery though... (However it is counting towards the scenarios on the march monthly mastery!!).
I've done a video if the above run. The recording was done on my ROG Ally as as such i was running at 1080 Medium settings, the ally was at 30W turbo settings. (I didn't want to push it too much). I looked at it again and still can't see where you can get extra points for platinum or why it isn't appearing done on the Mildmay mastery but is working on the Monthly mastery. I even checked the drivers log book on the DTG stie. The run is there so dovetail live as registered it?!
I'm guessing this route was never playtested on consoles before launch.... the graphics issue actually seems to be getting worse (Im on Xbox Series X)!! 2 days now and I still haven't been able to actually finish a full run from Willesden to Stratford everytime it's crashed to dashboard at some point along the route.... safe to say this is my lesson learned I'm never buying a route again on day one. This is becoming to much of a regular occurrence routes being released so full of bugs they are unplayable.. not meaning to be rude but if you want our hard earned money then do better!! The whole launch it and fix it later culture is getting beyond tiresome. That's my rant over
I had issues with the Route Learning scenario on PS5 but it felt like dragging brakes. Until I reached the first "Go via" point it won't accelerate properly and it loses speed the second I went to notch 2. Once I passed the first Go Via point it worked fine.
I had something similar. You can see it on my vid above around 3:16 I'm accelerating but the orange bar and speed drops suddenly.
Not sure if it's been mentioned before but the route has been out 34 hours and there's still no achievements showing for it on Xbox
Really enjoying the route so far. Some great things to see. Nothing performance wise of any concerns personally.
I got 5705 with the safety systems on, think this is impossible to get 6000. Also noticed at the start of the scenario as others have said the train barely moves unless in 3rd accelerator position. The text boxes keep popping up twice also and I noticed a LOT of clipping of bushes through the cab.
I am driving 2Y60 Stratford - Clapham Junction, but I’ve got stuck at Dalston Kingsland at a red signal. Having a look on the map, there are 2 ai trains stuck infront of me and it appears there is a freight train Infront of them just sat in the middle of the tracks, with no apparent reason to stop. I’m not sure if the conditions matter for reproducing the issue but if so, I was driving in custom weather on the 21st June with everything set to 0 and I’m on Xbox Series S.
When playing the Early Morning Service scenario on the Mildmay Line, I’m having trouble after the initial movement where upon changing ends and following the scenario instructions to change to DC power and change the points, the train doesn’t move. I’ve tried all the variations I can and nothing works. The only solution is for me to switch it back to the original AC, power the train to pick up speed before the train moves off the overhead power lines. After a brief period of testing, only once the train is fully past the points and on the lines the Bakerloo line trains run on will the power work in DC mode.
I had the same issue. It's because the main reservoir isn't up to pressure (it's sat at 4 when you put the reverser in forward) wait for it to rise a couple of notches before applying power and you should get away smoothly
Have done the training and decided to run the Route Learning scenario to get it out of the way for the mastery )shame it never counted despite me hitting 45) while I wait for the achievements to be fixed ( we don't have them on Xbox yet 36 hours after release.) Beautiful route, for one man Johannes has pulled of something that Rivet don't even get close to with a full team! The only issue I've encountered so far that's a major one is Impossible Gold and Platinum medals! For that scenario I ended with a score of 5314 which gave me a bronze medal. Adding on the 227 points I lost for speeding (there's a lot of things to distract you lol) would only have given me 5542 which would have been just enough to scrape a silver. Hopefully it's a bug that going to get a quick fix and not be left for years
It doesn't look like it was tested at all on console, no. Despite promises it had been on the preview stream and no issues had been jdentified, even a simple run from one end to the other would show there's serious problems. I've managed one full run to Stratford, by the time I got there I might as well have been playing the route on roblox as every texture was blurred. Going to give all new future routes a miss unless dtg can actually show they're trying to.improve this whole mess and deliver something which doesn't require an upgrade to Tsw6.
After 3 attempts I got gold so it is possible (I put a video up a little while ago in this thread) I don't think platinum is though and like you mine never registered on mildmay mastery but did count as one of the scenarios for march mastery.
