I think that might actually be the working timetable. With a service as intensive as the Mildmay Line it might not be possible to have every single departure scheduled to be exactly on the minute, but obviously that wouldn't be advertised publicly as it's too much information.

It certainly isn't completely random like in past routes (e.g. xx.xx.23 or xx.xx.57). They're all at least multiples of 5, which seems deliberate.

The route and the design are great. What bothers me is that the vegetation pops up so much. I know that on older routes. On the newer routes it was actually no longer visible

Is the 378 drivable on WCML and where does it go to

It subs in on WCMLS and is available to select on the menu. And the route it takes is from London Euston to Watford Junction, the full length of the Watford DC lines.

Loving this route so far!! The scenery is amazing- so much detail and all the added AI really bring the route to life and feel truly busy. Seriously, there are trains running everywhere lol. I sure hope DTG and other devs take note!

The 378 is ok, but the sounds are kind of a letdown imo. Maybe they are accurate but it's so quiet in the cab even with the windows open. Also the horn sample is weirdly truncated and has no reverb at all so it's kinda jarring. Just doesn't feel up to the same level as other recent trains in TSW5. Hoping some of these things are fixable in a post-release patch.

Wish you could drive the 710 more in timetable mode even though it's not realistic- the few ECS moves available are fun- there's even a power supply changeover on at least one of them.

Fwiw i haven't noticed as many frame-rate issues as others (certainly runs better for me than Frankfurt-Fulda) even with all layers active on a borderline-spec laptop. Performance in this game is just all over the place lol. But, please, DTG let us do shader compilation at launch- i don't really see a downside and there are soooo many (valid) complaints about the hitching that it causes doing it during gameplay- have they ever explained their reasoning on it?

Still, an fantastic effort all around- i absolutely look forward to more from Incredible Trains!

Are we playing a different game?? My first thought when driving the 378 was that it seemed a bit louder than the other Electrostar variants in the game, and that's with the windows closed.

Windows closed means you hear the motor sounds reverb throughout the train, when you open the windows, the exterior sounds drown/cancel the reverb out (not sure if it’s intentional or it’s just the low sound channel count).

I don’t have the route but to be fair I did notice on the preview stream, there are virtually no running sounds, I think the 378 might be the quietest in that regard.

Yes, that's what i mean- the exterior camera sounds are fine, but from inside the cab i barely hear anything even with the windows open.

I only drive in cab view, so it's frustrating for me but like i said it could be prototypical, i just like my trains to be as loud as possible lmao.

In the tutorial, it's mentioned that the 378 replaced aging 313's on this route- could that open the possibility of a backdated timetable for Mildmay using the 313 from ECW? Do we have other appropriate stock for the era?

Would be nice to revisit the 313, which kinda got lost in the shuffle after being having a fairly significant delay iirc.

There is almost fully modelled Kings Cross station on the route?

I don't think the 313's have a panto on tsw. They are southern 313's which were dc only I believe. You would have to use the 314.
Also the Lo 313's were limited to 30mph in dc mode which would mess things up a bit for east coastway.

Yep, the 313s had their pantographs removed when they transferred from London Overground to Southern. A backdated WCML(S) timetable would be more likely/easier with the available stock with the 313 on the Watford DC.

Is that an Azuma reskinned as an EMR Class 810 in the platform? Or is that a custom livery you have?

I’ve just enjoyed a couple more runs, and absolutely loving it! A nice evening, busy run at 1705 from Stratford to Willesden Junction, plenty and I mean plenty of AI, and adverse signals!

The immediate lineside detail is fantastic as well the background detail of the City of London too!

Some more screenshots (I promise I’m not on commission!) but I thought it’s worth showcasing what a brilliant route this is.

Yes the interior sounds on the 378 are certainly the weak point of this route. It’s really missing the immersion of running sounds and generally it feels like I’m operating a silent and very lightweight train. Hopefully a mod or fix will be forthcoming soon, I honestly have no interest in driving the 378 in its current state.

Some screenshots from EWR Freight Tunstead-Bow East @ 08:04- fun service btw- heavy aggregates train and there are adverse signals- don't get fooled by the "go via".

The last one is actually from 2D57 Euston-Watford Jct at Queen's Park on WCMLS, but i like the variety on display- shame there wasn't a 390!

One thing I really appreciate is that I think this is the first London based route to actually get the skyline right. You truly feel like you're in a city. The weakest point of London Commter was Clapham Junction because the skyline was practically blank, a stark contrast to real life.

Today after work was the first time I really had a chance to walk around Stratford to just watch the action go by. I hadn't seen this thread yet, but was impressed to see the Elizabeth Line 345's & the de-branded 720's from Greater Anglia. Are there other Easter eggs I'm missing as far as AI layers go? I did notice at a few spots around the station that it was really giving my 5800X3D/7800XT a workout.

What I like about this route’s scenery (apart from its quality) is that from Stratford you start in a cutting, after about Cledonian road you are on a viaduct. My favourite area of the route is Camden to Gospel Oak. There is even a cafe on one of the rooftops near the railway.

I wanna say 45mph but it's a commuter line and the stops are close together, so don't go in expecting to go very fast.

Wow, this is impressive! It would be fantastic if Johannes did Kings Cross to Peterborough (with the Hertford Loop too) as a future route. It's one where lots of trains we don't have in game yet, so lots of options for new units (91!) and options for units masquerading as other units too - something I was really impressed by in Mildmay. He would certainly do it justice - not sure many of the other dev companies would include the many reskinned units required.

It is stated everywhere that the WCMLS map uses, among other things, the 1972 Stock layers ..... that is not happening for me, am I doing something wrong or is there a bug and do I need the Bakerloo map?

Here is a thought, we have seen what just one Johannes can do by himself, just imagine if there was a few Johannes working together and what could they produce?

I have yes, it works exactly like a photocopier, you put who you want to clone in the machine and select how many you want. So, 5 x Johannes should be able to producing the whole of London in TSW, 7 x Johannes will probably put Dovetail out of business, so if I put in a nice round number say...x 50 and we can have the whole world in TSW :)

I have to say the Class 378 is fast becoming one of my favourite units in TSW. Job well done on the model of this!

It wears the Overground livery so well and just looks perfect on the route as it winds through the Capital!

I tried the service, powered from the rail, and it didn't want to run, but when I tried pressing the power button from the rail and the foot release button to be sure, it started running. So even with the services on the WCMLS map... there is also no transition noise between the inserted cars and there is one more effect, see the picture ... Something is hanging under the car, some cables or something

I've tried many configurations, and the only time I don't have problems with blurring is when I have only the Suffragette and WCMLS maps installed, but no Pendolino. Freight activated via the ECML map and anything else causes problems, but the ECML and Pendolino add-on in particular is a conflict. I can't assess the links with the Stock 1972 sets, I don't have them active, although it says that it should also activate the WCMLs map, so obviously it will be different, I would guess that the Bakerloo map is needed and I don't have that

Can anyone tell me why the Stock 1972 tube lines don't work on the PS5? Do I need the Bakerloo map? It says that WCMLS is supposed to activate it, and that's obviously not enough, or something is wrong there
    Thank You

On PS5 Pro, it is enough to slightly blur the external texture at 378 in the front section with only the maps Sufragatte and WCMLS and Pendolino DLC installed ...... i.e. no freight traffic and no other additional layers ... removing Pendolino then moves the map to fully playable ..... but the textures at 710 for the two lines in Stratford (Anglia and Elizabeth I think) are of some very low quality

Believe that the WCML ‘provide’ the 1972 AI and 710, but they in turn require the home routes of Bakerloo and Suffragette to ‘unlock’ them.

    Thank YOu
So it's more like Bakerloo provides it when it's needed to unlock... it's funny that DTG doesn't mention anything like that with this product......

No, the 1972 stock doesn't need Bakerloo.

I posted in the feedback thread about starting to experiment with disabling layers on PS5, so I'm curious which AI locos are the biggest memory hogs. If WCML is a big culprit I wonder if it links to some of the memory issues that have plagued that route in the past?

However, given the much better frame rate I got at Stratford and Gospel Oak from disabling ECML, Thameslink, MML, and SEHS I suspect it's just sheer volume of traffic all at once that is a big factor.

So what do I need, just WCMLS is not enough, at least I don't have it active on PS5
