Timetable service EWR Freight Service from Peterboro Maint Shed GBRf to Tonbridge West Yard GBRf at 12:41 seems to either be a bit of a waste of time or is broken on Xbox. According to the timetable it's supposed to be a 6 minute service but it didn't last 6 seconds for me! pressed to start the service looking at a 390 in the station below and was told to alight the vehicle which instantly ended the service! Checking the timetable Bronze should score 50 but as the run ends as soon as you start you score nil points so can't even get bronze. On my timetable there's also 3 runs at 15:02 (12 minutes), 17:02 (12 minutes) and !8:02 (1 hour and 6 minutes) that don't even have a medal icon and are showing medal scores for 0. Tried the 18:02 run and it spawned me on the platform about 30 yards away from where the train is supposed to end the run with no train in sight!
Overall enjoying the route, Im shocked that I didnt have any blurry texturing problems. On thing that concerns me is poor laying of the tracks. When departing Willesden towards Stratford there is a drop from 0,4% incline to 2,4 decline and its quite noticeable. It dont bothers me e.g. on the HS1 approach to St.Pancras, because it's AI only, but when departing one of the "terminuses" you come across such poor laying of the tracks it's... very bothering. Same thing between Hackney Wick and Homerton, the drop is not as noticeable as at Willesden but still, it is not how it is in real life. Next thing with track laying, and I think it was mention by the creator, is the quadruple track section, parallel to the East London Line, especially the bit between Canonbury and Dalston (Kingsland and Junction). Tracks are very bendy, and adding up the wonky suspension of 378 it feels like youre driving some remote unused track onboard a pacer with all the twists and turns. Don't know if it's fixeable, and thats the worst part, as other things such as problems with the scenery or 378s itself are surely fixable, but dont know about the tracks thing... But despite all of that, with a little of polishsing route will be incredible as Incredible Trains! (cannot upload a file, if you
Is it me, or at every station, there are no passengers getting on or off the train? Even during rush hour?
I have been having so memory leak issues starting when approaching Camden road station And staying to Hampstead Heath and departing Hampstead Heath the game just crashes 2 times in a row now but going towards Statford it doesn’t Crash just memory leak issues but a part from that this is one of the best routes I have played and my platform is Xbox Series S
Same with me, no passengers get on or off. I would say this route has a lot of potential. There is a lot going on scenery wise and most of it looks really good. Its a cool route What I would like to see is... - better performance on the xbox. (right now.... too many instances of blurry textures...skips/freezes...) - have the passengers get on and off. - have other choices for trains. (like something where you can see out the window and appreciate all the scenery thats there) * The 710 would be great but right now the few services available are at night. Expanding that would solve It for me. btw, I noticed on one of the freight services it says there is a 45 minute wait during the route. really?? Who wants to sit and wait for 45 friggin minutes? I can't understand why they would put that in there.
Route learning scenario has accelaration problems Class 378 shakes more than a pacer Zero passenger setup across the route (not those static ones)
I decided to move on from Rail Journeys mode and try a service in timetable mode. I picked one in the middle of the day, set to June, in the new loco, and it crashed before loading in with this message: LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 3194] Could not find SuperStruct HandleAC_SelectedLocal to create HandleAC_SelectedLocal EDIT: I will check there are no mods installed that might cause this one
For freight where you need to stop to let other trains past, the objective marker is right under neath the red signal (fine) but if you stop 6/7 ft prior so you can see the signal, it doesn’t register that you have met the objective. This has happened at both Stratford and Caledonian Road (PS5)
I don't think it's the panto either. After recording my run , re watching it and looking at some of the other comments on this thread I think the brakes ar sticking a bit. Try putting it straight into notch 3 and wait a little while, you should start moving but it feels like something is dragging (until you get just past the Olympic aquatics pool, around the first go via).
I agree. It’s overall a very impressive piece of work. The main thing I would be interested in seeing tidied up a bit is the track laying. Some of the bends are very sharp and there doesn’t seem to be any super elevation as per all other TSW routes. The bumps and gradients are too extreme. I agree that worst offending track work seems to be around the Camden Road - Hackney Central section. Especially Camden Road - Caledonian Road and also H&I to Dalston Kingsland. Thanks!
The route hopping point in Gospel Oak is broken. The destination name is not localized and upon hopping you will end up in the void.
It seems 5,865 is max you can get (assuming you missed only 1 point, probably for stop accuracy). So platinum is indeed impossible. Platinum score should be at 90% of maximum possible score.
On the Training Module for the Mildmay Line Introduction Matt P is still talking when the scenario ends and goes back to the menu.
On the Training Module for the Class 378 Introduction the audio is broken. Matt P says different audio pieces multiple times in a loop.
The real life gradient on this section of line in real life is some of the most severe in the country....
If DTG can't fix "Core Issues" with TSW they should take it off sale until the game is usable in an advertised condition.
Fair enough. Maybe just some of the track laying bumps and corners could be smoothed out or have the super elevation added, otherwise the cab sway is off the charts.
Current issues for me: Haven't been able to complete a single service that ends at either Stratford or Willesden, game has crashed one task from the end of the service each time. An issue occurred when taking multiple trains in a single session, took 9A38 between Highbury & Islington to Cannonbury and then 9G39 back to Highbury & Islington. From there I took the next train from there going towards Richmond 2N76 or 2N77 (not sure which), when leaving Kensal Rise towards Willesden Junction train suddenly derailed without warning.
Not sure but it seems that the game can load autosaves from the main menu now, handy for not losing too much progress
X Box series X Just completed the scenario Engineering Works Excellent with some brilliant dioramas For the first time NO texture issues – even in the rain! But train did whole there-and-back route empty and with no passengers on or off Swapping ends at Gospel Oak and couldn’t get train to move off again until pressed the ‘reset physics’ button. But that could be me… On route back at Hackney Central camera 3 and 8 (with plug-in keyboard) locked in position again but would still rotate on axis From there on the brake seemed to be stuck on and train would slow down even down 1.1 gradient with no power Stop marker at Stratford was about 170 yds from red signal which left last carriage jutting out of station
Blurring and lag are getting really bad now. And no it's not my eyesight Passengers don’t seem to be getting on or off either in the scenarios. Scoring system is knackered too. 160 points in scenario, and 240 in timetable.
Need I say more? These textures are ridiculous. Taken between West Hampstead & Brondesbury (2N63 Stratford to Richmond)
Finally got my first run tonight - playing on Xbox Series X. 378 is enjoyable to drive and the route itself is a nice little challenge. But, 10 minutes in, and despite setting it to custom clear weather and turning off some layers, the texture issue is back! Come on, I'm playing on a 9th gen console, now I like playing retro games but why do the textures like something out of a PS1 game? Also can't seem to use the TMS screen with a controller?
Similar issues that others are experiencing I’m on PS5 Blurring on a lot of signs, labels in the cab, etc. The pantograph does not seem to align with the OHL a lot of the time. A lot of clipping issues including bridges. Some routes are scored so that platinum is unachievable. Otherwise I am thoroughly enjoying this route.
PS5 Pro The only thing that looks playable so far is the configuration of only the NorthLondon map and the Suffragate map, i.e. only those two maps with Overground....any additional layer brings blurring By the way, I had the feeling that the Bakerloo Stock1972 layers were activated via the WCML map and this did not happen during the attempts activating ECML, i.e. the freight service brought problems with blurring of textures
The Christmas scenario is nicely done. Easily my favourite of any in the game. Hats off incrediblehannes
Thanks! I really enjoyed making that. Though it was quite hard to find enough royalty free music for that
Crash to desktop near Stratford. LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 208] Renaming an object (Texture2D /Engine/Transient.Texture2D_2147035316) on top of an existing object (Texture2D /London/Map/Tiles/ST_x-36_y-19.ST_x-36_y-19:PersistentLevel.ATS_Info_Board10.DynamicDisplayBoard.DisplayBoard_LayoutTexture) is not allowed
Really enjoying the route so far; here's a few issues ive found so far - 378 Safety System Isolation Switches half Isolated/Unisolated (visually). No Tail lights on the 378's Stabled in Kensal Rise Siding. Service 9A35 - Red Light Bug? Blank Signal ID Plate for NL1032 BR (Banner Repeater). AWS Magnet for Signal NL1030 the wrong way round. Some tunnel occlusion needs to be worked on in some tunnels & lack of audio occlusion too! 378 TMS not operating correctly; clicking on tabs doesn't really do anything. Not going dark when moving above 5mph. There doesn't appear to be any Morpeth Boards indicating a upcoming speed change? (unless there isn't IRL!) Non-functioning Route Indicator for Signal NL1401 - when routed into P2 (Bay) 378s 3rd Rail Shoes appear to always be lowered when not (also if you raise the shoes, you lose power even if your on AC!) Power 'System Select' buttons always illuminated instead of one OR the other! Regardess of power mode selected. Cab audio needs to be looked at. Passing trains (HSTs on the MML) and rain are far too loud from the cab!! DSD doesn't appear to be working correctly - you can walk about the cab/raise the pedal and no alarm will sound. Blank Signal ID Plate on signal after NL1257. Theres a load of 'Low Adhesion' warning signs but no termination signs? Signal NL1289 - No illuminated Junction Indicator 1 when routed to signal NL1401 Stop Board in Platform 2 (bay), near signal NL1402 for some reason? No TPWS OSS Grids for P2 (Bay) at Stratford NL1030 BR (Banner Repeater) always showing 'OFF' regardless of Signal NL1030's aspect. (Most likely happening to other Banner Repeaters too!) Unable to couple two 378s together. Neutral Sections? (again, if theres any in IRL) No real issues with performance or textures. Other than the usual core bugs/issues and those mentioned above - a solid route!
PS5 Pro 3 freight services show when selecting that they do not have a rating set, the service at 18:06 starts because it is standing on the platform, the service cannot be started. The service at 12:41 starts because it says Objective complete and the service is terminated ....
I've now completed a couple of runs, one in each direction and have to say I really enjoy the route itself! The only thing letting it down is dovetail games who really need to start fixing the core engine problems and for them to actually test on console.
The lack of passengers kills this stone dead. No passengers anywhere apart form the placed ones. Some of the roads are unfinished and I’ve seen traffic, buses and coaches turn through buildings. Why is it so hard to get road traffic pathing? It would be a really nice route with everything polished.
In the basic version without additional layers it works well, perhaps even in combination with the Suffragette map.
PS5 It is stated everywhere that the WCMLS map uses, among other things, the 1972 Stock layers ..... that is not happening for me, am I doing something wrong or is there a bug and do I need the Bakerloo map?
Overall really enjoying the route, the 378 is nice to drive and looks really good! However I've got a few things I want to say about the route in terms of improvements other that the obvious blurry textures and fps drops in places. - One thing I want to say about the interior of the 378 is that when in tunnels or at night, the doors and cab doors seem to go pitch black so when riding as a passenger in these environments it really ruins the immersion. - Some of the stations seem to be far more detailed than others. What I mean by this is that some stations such as Hampstead Heath and Homerton have really nicely modelled exits and exteriors whereas some stations like Camden Road and Highbury & Islington have no way to leave and nothing modelled outside. I appreciate that it is a solo developer but some stations really do look so much better than others. - On the same topic, West Hampstead for some reason appears how it did before the upgrade for increased capacity, which by the way happened over 5 years ago so should be modelled as such on the route. Some roundels and signage at stations looks strange, some of the station names are weirdly positioned in the roundel, making them stand out and look unrealistic. - There are some cases where the gap between the train and the platform is unrealistically large, such as at Brondesbury and Gospel Oak. There is also sometimes the opposite problem where the train clips the platform, I don't remember exactly where this happens but I recall it happening in some places along the route. - I know that the issue of passengers has been brought up many times, but I would love to know if the other platforms at Stratford are expected to receive passengers as well. Stratford currently looks quite strange as there are so many trains but absolutely no passengers. - Overall this route is really impressive, especially for a solo developer but these changes are somethings that I would love to see addressed, especially since the release of the GOBLIN last year. I can see the inspiration in some stations along the route, with fully modelled exits and working lifts, but some stations look straight out of TSW 2 with nothing to see outside the platforms.
Have just redone that scenario and have achieved a gold medal after scoring 5865 without losing any to speeding (which I find strange because the Speedo did go yellow on 2 occasions so I should have lost 65 points)
