I can't get this thing to budge!! Release the brakes, push reverser forward (sometimes this won't move) and push thruster forward slowly. Nothing... Same procedure works fine with Blue Peter. What am I missing? This locomotive and scenario was included in the Sheffield - Manchester DLC.
Later... found this video which explains a lot ;-) I got it going but not sure exactly what prevented me from before. Going to go through the steps in more detail. Extra things you do: Turns some switches on the OTMR There is a level next to the reverser than allows you to then move the reverser Firebox closed Small injector to 9 o'clock and then 2 o'clock (think this is the critical one) Hmm although brakes seem stuck on slightly...
It's definitely there. I've almost given up trying to get it working. They really should have a quick start guide IMO. The manual is 63 pages long and jumps all over the place...
Looks like a stand alone DLC: BR Standard Class 7 ‘Britannia Class’ Steam Loco. I purchased Hope Valley direct from JT and this was not included. Probably another DTG 'opportunity' like TSW. It does NOT come with the route. Maybe a base Kuju product bundled with TSC2024. Here is the manual: Advanced 7MT: https://store.steampowered.com/manual/500249
You have to read the manual to get it moving. It's much more complex than your standard DTG locomotive.
I'm sorry to say but all the answers are in the manual if you take the time to read it. I don't know exactly what you mean by it jumping all over the place but there are details in separate sections for Advanced or Simple Driving mode. When installed, it defaults to Advanced mode, I strongly recommend you use the "Switcher" to change it to Simple mode, at least until you get comfortable with it. The manual tells you where to find the Switcher utility, but as yours won't stand still, here is what it says: To drive it in Simple mode there is only one thing aside of the usual procedures for steam locos that you need to do - open the dampers with several presses of the M key. Otherwise you will find as you proceed on your journey you will get more and more short of steam. It is a matter of taste but personally I don't use Advanced modes on engines as I prefer to be on the lookout for signals and enjoying the view, but it is all detailed in the manual - kangaroos or not. Maybe you should print it out for reference in Advanced mode so that you have it to hand when driving. Its a fine model of a fine locomotive (although a little over-powered in my opinion) and you should enjoy it once you have mastered it. John PS - The very last Britannia I saw in BR service was a tired-looking 70045 (devoid of its Lord Rowallwn nameplates) in the summer of 1966, easing gently towards Carnforth with a southbound parcels train, seen from the A6 where it runs parralel with the line. Hence my username . . .
As Said above have a look through the Manual and make sure both Ejectors are open to start moving once moving you can just leave the small Ejector Open.
