Here I go with another round of Vienna content possibility... I know TSW is not technically a subway sim, but still, subway is still a train service and we already have some underground services, tho in London

Instead of doing 5 separate threads and flood this forum, I have decided to create one comprehensive thread to discuss this, like which one would you like to see the most... each is special in its own right

    U1 Oberlaa - Leopoldau
One of the OGs... in the center it is mostly underground, but some of the southern part and as it about to cross Danube, it is then mostly over the ground / on viaducts... personally, my fav parts are where you can see Donaupark/Donauturm from the train, as well as the whole UN building complex at Kaisermuhlen... as this route also crosses under Hauptbahnhof, Sudtiroler Platz was literally one of the reasons why Hauptbahnhof is where it is today (so the station would have direct access to U-Bahn)... also has stations like Karlsplatz, Stephansplatz and other super busy ones on it :)

Some services end at Alaudagasse, some at Oberlaa

U2 Karlsplatz - Seestadt (undergoing extension via Rathaus to Matzleinsdorfer Platz and later to Wienerberg)

As much as I love U4 and U6 due to their overground sections, recently U2 has grown a lot on me, especially after my recent ride (with Karlsplatz - Schottentor section back in operation, upgraded, renovated, with platform screen doors in place)... once it gets above ground, it is one cool sight after another - OMV buildings, Ernst Happel Stadion, Donaumarina housing estate, crossing Danube, winding across Stadlau (crossing railway tracks there), Aspern Nord station, and final stretch to Seestadt... one of the best lines if you want to see where Vienna is growing atm

Some services end at Aspern Nord, Aspernstrasse or Hausfeldgasse, some go all the way to Seestadt (there is also a new station being finished between Aspernstrasse and Hausfeldgasse)

    U3 Ottakring - Simmering

Not that interesting as to the actual route, tho it connects some very busy and interesting locations, as well as providing access to one of Vienna's busiest shopping districts/streets (Mariahilferstrasse between Westbahnhof and Volkstheater/Museumsquartier)... for rail fans it is interesting because the Erdberg station is directly near and connected to the Erdberg facility (not sure if it is just a depot or also some kind of repair/maintenance facility)

    U4 Hutteldorf - Heiligenstadt

One of my two fav U-Bahn lines, as most of it is either overground or just not covered :) ... has lots of cool places, like the bridge over Donaukanal, sections where it runs parallel to Wiental, Langenfeldgasse (with its unique track/platform layout, enabling seamless transition between U4 and U6 for passengers)... but the chief reason it stands out, along with U6, is the stations and some of the metalwork in between, as some date back to old Stadtbahn and Otto Wagner / Franz Josef legacy

    U6 Siebenhirten - Floridsdorf
Some hate it, some love it (ME :D )... it is a literal joyride and sightseeing tour for free, as long as you got the Kernzone ticket... views packed with sights left and right, due to most of its route being over the ground and on old Stadtbahn route / viaducts... also has beautiful stations that share their looks with U4 and S45 stations... as the only U-Bahn line in Vienna (if I remember correctly, it was to preserve the character of the line or sth) it doesnt use third rail, but DC overhead wire and the rolling stock is also very different, resembling tram-train or light rail rather than those grey milkboxes :D

    Rolling stock
First three are used pretty much interchangeably on all lines except U6, with the last one used for U6... I believe speeds are up to like 80-85 kph... speed and acceleration is very similar across the board, tho X Wagen has the most modern door controls and is the only one to feature digital information screens above doors :)

    U2 type (the OG stock)

    V type

X type (also capable of automatic driverless operation, which will be utilized on U5)

    T1 type

Honestly, all lines are cool and have something unique to them, so I would be happy with even one being made :) ... as long as we get at least two types of trains and realistic signalling and such :) ... Vienna's subway system is still pretty new, but they managed to utilize what they already had and build new sections relatively quickly, and so Vienna got another great transport backbone besides S-Bahn :)

    Pls DTG :)

as a passenger I also say hell yeah... I mean, those "silver bullets" are still sufficient in terms of acceleration, braking, speed etc, even seating isnt too bad, but in hot weather, maan... like 4020s, they arent very nice when the weather is hot :D

DTG would need to overcome their anathema to light baking sub surface stations!

well, some of the U-Bahn routes, especially U4 and U6, have majority of their stations and tracks either above ground or exposed / street level, especially U6 which only has a couple underground stations where it goes under a housing estate, otherwise it is mostly on elevated track
