What playable layers will this route have

 

Can the 150/153 work with pacers 170s and 158s?

 

How prevalent are the texture blurring issues on this route? Or is performance ok on console?

 

Can you confirm what involvement Rivet have had as second party contractors, in terms of the route and rolling stock build?

Can we have absolute confirmation the Class 150/2 sound and physics have been thoroughly overhauled from the WCL version so it sounds and performs as a Class 150/2?

Does the Class 153 have its own custom physics (bearing in mind the single car is heavier than a Class 150/2 vehicle) or is it just aliased to the 150?

Will we have access to the Class 153 toilet, in order to use the emergency coolant refill feature?

The route seems a little expensive for such a small area and only one new train. Why when being whiteboarded was the decision taken to not include the full run down to Barry Island, if not at least one of the northern Valley Lines proper such as up to Rhymney?

Will there be a pre release purchase discount to sweeten the rather steep price?

Are there plans to expand this route into a wider VL network or add something like the VOG down to Bridgend?

Are there plans for the Class 150 and 153 to be used on a further Welsh DLC?

Once again where are we with the core issues that are now the biggest deterrent to spending this kind of money on DLC? Specifically stutters and sound squelching. Another route, but still only the one save slot. A network route with loads of potential to come back into free roam and take over the next train, but still the bug where if you save on a subsequent run, the objective data fails to reload. What happened to the EP’s promise that both those issues had been passed to the coders for resolution? These questions are relevant as to any purchase decision.

 

How many full length services can you drive on this route?

 

Just be straight up. Was Rivet Games involved in any part of this project?

 

Has DTG tested this firsthand on retail consoles? If so, what is the actual performance like? Is the texture loss issue present with all layers active?

 

In areas that are very busy and both CPU and graphically demanding, how would this Route DLC perform in terms of stabilization?

why did you backdate the route but use the new timetable surely it would make more sense for the old timetable.

What was the extent of the involvement of Rivet Games on this route, and what steps have DTG taken to ensure catastrophes like the immediate aftermath of the WCMLs and FCL launch do not occur?

 

I think the most important ones here are:

1. Has Rivet Games been involved as a second or a third party developer? If so are there plans to incorporate them on future TSW DLC's

2. Will the route eventually receive the sounds reworked for the Class 150?

3. Is the full timetable included in the route? After the WCML South release on not including the full timetable worries me personally this could follow suit.

 

Why have the 150/153 sounds not been improved?

They are awful and it’s a shame that nothing seems to have changed from the Rivet version.

 

If Rivet were included on the team for the route can you give assurances that any post release issues and updates will be undertaken to a good standard?

 

How long are services. Where do they start and stop.

How long are ecs runs?

Max speed limit?

Length of time of services.

Is tpws working and implemented? If we overspeed will we get brake applications etc?

 

Will we get a realistic timetable or a heavily trimmed down timetable that isn't realistic with gaps of several hours?

 

Is their potential for a flirt on this route at some point, it would add realism since I think they do the Penarth to Coryton services

 

1) Has Rivet Games been included at all in the making of this Route? If So, which areas.
2) Will there be off-map destinations. For Example on a Screenshot on the route on the PIS it said 'Heath High Level' When trains don't terminate at the station
3) As OldVern said why not include the Full run to Barry Island?
4) Have the 150 sounds been reworked?
5) Has the Scenery been worked to it's maximum and represents the real thing as Welsh Scenery is stunning and I expect it to portray Wales very well.
6) How were the 153 sounds Sourced?

 

With this being the first network style route on quite this kind of scale (as opposed to say Cathcart which is similar but less complicated), what were the biggest challenges to developing the route?

 

Will the existance of the Class 153 open up opportunities to maybe get the West Highland line and the fancy "Highland Explorer" livery by ScotRail in-game?

 

When did you obtain the licence or can you not say?

What things were identified during the qa process which can't be fixed until after release?

 

So how many miles in total is this route?

 

Why not extend it a little to Barry Island and Caerphilly? You know actual end points?

 

Yes this is mentioned in the recent article plus you can couple further 153’s thereby creating a class 155 should you so wish

 

Will the PIS have Welsh station names so for example It will say Shrewsbury/Amwythig, will that be a feature or not?

Why did you decide it acceptable to use old, low res assets not fit for use in TSW5 on this route ?

What was the reasoning behind not including Welsh station annoucements?

 

The Rivet Games question is the hottest of the bunch and it very much needs an answer because this is going to determine if money will leave our wallets or not for this DLC.

 

How is beta testing going and where were the sounds sourced for the class 153

 

I really hope this gets made by a talented creator on creators club soon after release. Would love to drive this. Could put saltire on the new 150 and bam. Basically west highland line consist. (Sub in 156 for 150)

 

What reference photos etc did you use for this route?

How long was the process of gathering the data?

Are the pits accessible at the depot?

 

Regarding TSW 5's core, what steps are you taking to make sure new routes like Cardiff will work on console (both Gen 8 and 9) as intended?

 

Can you change the white marker lights for 150? As TFW's 150 has both two white markers on whether under day mode or night mode.

What is performance going to be like on the route, is it going to be stable for pc, gen 8 and gen 9. In regards to limitations, what can gen 8 expect? (Not a gen 8 player)

Well l will make my decision whether to buy on release or wait for a sale after tonight’s stream with Matt and Jamie and hopefully there will be some answers about the quality of the route from the chat. Hopefully Rivet haven’t had any involvement in the route making!!!

 

One further question, well more of a request really. Please don’t yak constantly over the train audio particularly given the concerns over this aspect. Let us hear the engine run up and down through the full range of audio including, even if it means exceeding the speed limit, the transition into final drive. For both the 150 and 153.

 

Please make sure Matt shows us how to turn on the safety systems in the cab.

 

I believe the safeties are behind the driver at the top in the cab. If you know West Cormwall local, then you will know what I mean

 

Just a quick observation from the stream already. Some details are too new for the route. If set in 2022/23. Platform extensions on the City Line were done after the OHLE. Really doesn’t add up and clearly not done their research!! Oh and not to mention both platforms at Cardiff bay which weren’t even started till last year!

 

I wish Jamie would stop just talking to & answering the so called ambassadors and answer the more pertinent questions! He’s not the best CM.
