When buying Loco's. Are they dedicated to just one area of the game or can they be used any where or any country?
Buying Loco... down in acapulco ... Was the first thing that came into my head when saw this thread! I only drive UK routes, so cannot comment internationally, but certainly on UK locos you can DRIVE them in any route as long as the correct Power supply is available (ie you cannot run electric loco without overhead wires!) If you want to use them as AI in Quickdrive, then you will need to set them up for the routes that you require. I use RWE2 for this, but others use alternative methods like editing the BATs files. For scenarios, you will need to go the right hand box in scenario editor, find the creator, then the relevent loco and tick the boxes. The will then appear in the consist tab (signal icon)

You can drive what you want on any route except --- Electric trains will only run on a route that is "Electrified" - Ignore the Overhead Wires/Third Rail as they are just to make it look correct. The Speed in the HUD will be different to the speedo when running UK trains on EU routes and v.v Go it to the Drive menu in the game and pick Free Roam then pick a train and a route until you get used to it. Swiss route with UK Electric German route with UK Electrics
