Rivet Games Enough Is Enough Fix Your Trains For Livery Designer

As much as I like to avoid this website i think it’s time that I (a long standing tsw fan since 2017) decide to voice my opinion on something that has been bugging me and possible many others since tsw2. It all involves a simple third party developer called rivet games and their refusal to remove the numbers on custom liveries for 5 different trains (5 opportunities to sort them out)
The following trains are the subject of this issue:
Class 37 - wcl
Class 150- wcl
Class 170- fife
Class 350 - wcml
Class 150 (again come on man) - Cardiff

As a long standing train sim enthusiast I am appalled that I haven’t seen a big outcry over this. The whole reason of livery designer is to be creative and we are being limited by a stupidly small feature. Pc players can be fortunate to use mods to get rid of them but console players are stuck with the stupid numbers on trains meaning we can’t do liveries for trains where only 1 unit carried them due to the idiotic numbers So we have to go for unconventional ways to hide these numbers which can ruin a livery.

Can DTG take the time to rectify this with rivet as many of us are annoyed by it.

Welcome to the latest and probably not greatest thread for all your Rivet bashing needs, I best go buy loads more of their TSW output and blindly throw my wallet at them to keep the poor sods in business.......

 

People are allowed to criticise when things aren't done properly and rushed out like alot of routes people pay alot of money for routes they should be good quality especially with the money they are charging you might be happy to pay your money for unfinished product that's your choice but don't criticise others that aren't happy

 

Never once have I ever said don't criticise anything, so please feel free too, clearly people just don't see sarcasm anymore......

 

This is one of those things that is right at the bottom in terms of priorities.

 

He's right in a way though.

No doubt someone who hates Rivet with a passion will hijack this thread at some point.

 

I praise myself lucky that I have no interest whatsoever in Livery Designer, Scenario planner or formation designer. I just want to play timetable services and the odd scenario. So whenever there is criticism of the creation club stuff, I really can't help but shrug.

 

So this thread isn't even relevant to you? So you felt the need to respond with this because...?

In any event, I'm not a massive user of livery designer myself, however I do use it on the 37 because of the criminal absence of one in BR Blue. And as mentioned by OP, while the one I use has some white unit numbers on one end, it has permanent black ones on the other end. But I wouldn't get your hopes up for a fix about any of these, because perhaps a large part of why Rivet draw so much criticism is because they seem to be the champions of abandonware in this game. Pretty much every single addon they have ever released gets one post release patch and is then never touched again.

 

I'm one of Rivets biggest critics...

But having dozens of threads that are criticising them is a bit exhausting after a while. Where appropriate and when new routes or issues arise from their content then fair enough... But at the moment, it'd be nice just to have one or two threads and leave it at that... They cover all the grievances that arise! To keep getting seperate threads surrounding the same issues gets annoying and repetitive.

Some DTG locos are still not compatible with Livery Designer. But sure, let's call Rivet out. Again. In yet another thread.

Why not use one of the many existing threads, or even the "Enough Is Enough" thread, rather than open a new one.

 

I feel enough is enough using "enough is enough " to get attention with post titles

 

What about " Letter to DTG " ones it seems there used be an overflow of them and now its been replaced with "Enough is Enough"
