Yes If I use headphone for the PS5 then not too loud but audible, but if it's voice come from the controler it's barely audible
Absolute great route. A few small issues I found: SNG: - Master controller is way too sensitive. Either I am not braking at all, or way too much. - Cab light is on, when spawning - Cab light says it is off, when it is on, and says it is on, when it is off ICMm: - no train lights? - deadman alarm is not loud enough Vectron layer: - services have no service max speed set, so that the freight services are running way too fast (they should not run at 140km/h). Sadly that feature is often forgotten. (might also be the case for the G6-layer, I have not checked those) Overall: - some services have apparently some wrong stopping points
#FYI From 2003 onwards, trains had to be smoke-free according to the new Tobacco Act. Before that, it was quite normal to see passengers quietly lighting up a cigarette on the train. Although there were separate smoking compartments, sometimes there was only a thin glass door separating the smokers from the non-smokers.
I came here to say this. Every resource I find online tells me I should be able to activate BD manually by pressing the blue button while stationary. I've tried it with max brake and even emergency brake applied, I've even tried it with the reverser in neutral, I've tried hitting the button multiple times, I've tried holding it – nothing happens. It appears that Buiten Dienst simply isn't implemented (and neither is the ETCS Override on the SNG3, which should also override the ATB-Vv beacons). Sure, you don't need these features in normal operations (although BD would be nice in the tutorials, for example), but it would be very cool to be able to use ATB in uncoded areas, and it's just a part of the system that frankly should work, similar to PZB Befehl on German trains (which does work!).
I am absolutely loving this route. DTG you did a fantastic job with this one! The detail is amazing, the trains themselves are true-to-life, the scenery is mostly spot on and the stations are detailed. I mean we can even enter the station building at Assen! And I agree with others on the fact that this route should be seen as the new standard for all routes to come. Can't wait to see what is in store for the next Dutch route! Keep it up!
I have two services available. Maybe that has something to do with the other layers (I have all of them installed).
That has nothing to do with what I wrote. And in the Netherlands, PZB should not be active ... It just braked you, because you were exceding the max speed of PZB Mode M.
Thanks for all the work you put into this route! I'm incredibly happy to finally see a Dutch route in TSW, and driving greaet trains using the ATB system. I also noticed the attention to detail regarding the typical Dutch overhead lines, especially in the stations it must have been a meticulous job. On the other hand, when driven in open lines between the stations, I think the standard OCL gantries could be improved, especially the concrete "SP"-type. In the game we see the gantry being too wide, and using two half-Y supports. In reality, the Y-support is in the middle between the tracks, and the steady arm is connected to the Y-support or the concrete pole, switching sides and thus creating the stagger. Compared to the original: I think the immersion would benefit from correcting the standard SP-type gantries as well as the standard DIN/H-profile gantries, thanks!
PS5 It would be gratifying if, with the planned update of the DB Vectron, it was finally possible to fix the confirmation of Sifa with the circular button during the interval, as is usually the case with other locomotives, and not only when the acoustic signal sounds.
I gotta say, this route is amazing. I've always wanted something dutch and this is definitely an amazing addition with some great trains, scenery and stations. Its phenomenal. There are a few issues people have pointed out. there are some mistakes with the CTA destinations that I would like to showcase here it seems like "amersfoort centraal" has been confused with "Amsterdam centraal" in some of the services. "Amsterdam zuid" is also missing from some destinations list. it should be before schiphol as its a guaranteed stop for all trains. Besides that and some other flaws people have pointed out I do adore these CTA displays and looking at them. This route is amazing, please keep up with this level of quality and I hope to see more routes in the future
The logo of the Dutch Railways at the main building of the station of Groningen is placed the wrong way round.
I love this update my favorite train the ICM in TSW 5. As a joke i wanted to apply the flow livery to this classic model but i have an issue with the model. On one side of the AB coach there is a part that cant be colered, kinda anooying when u know its there. Also if u guys want the latest version of the ICMm's they have aan extra step on the ladder But overal im am very pleased with the DLC and cain't whait to see more Dutch DLC's to arrive!
You should be able to hear the ICM’s chopper sound slightly in the cab and a little more in the passenger area
When driving to Hoogeveen,... in the HUD it spels wrong "Hoogeven" I noticed this on scenario "Retirement Party"
Continuing to really enjoy this route. Contrary to what some might think, it’s not just a dead straight run, there are a few sections where you are curving and banking through the countryside. While generally level there are also a couple of places where you get a 1.2% or thereabouts gradient for a short distance. But as noted in other threads, this is a route where you can see the care and love which has gone into the whole process from the route depiction and 3D modelling including stations (eat that, Cardiff Central) to the trains. It is up there with the best from JT and TSG and while those responsible should hold their heads high, DTG project management should be doing a serious comparison between this and the similarly priced sub freeware level disaster that is the tiny Cardiff Network.
I know the route well IRL and can confirm that especially the stations were modelled really well. Good use of unique assets here.
Resetting the ICMm emergency brake doesn't always seem to work. Even after resetting simulation physics. The little release brake lever is not selectable any longer after ATB stopped the train. I've tried the procedure in the ATB instructions, but it doesn't seem to do anything. The red light stays on and brakes will not move. After resetting all the physics, I can't release the emergency brake, so the train stays in full brake applied mode. Another issue seems that passengers are starting to be missing in action if you go along the whole route. So starting from Groningen, there are passengers in the first few stations, after that they seem absent and in Zwolle, there's absolutely nobody.
Actually I did notice stopping at Groningen Europark (?) there were no passengers on any of the platforms and no one alighted from the train. This at 0830 in the morning. Suspect more of a core issue than route specific, possibly.
Agree with this on PS5. It’s weird in this game that sensitivity on the master controller always varies widely, some are super sensitive and others are slow to get where you want, but the SNG seems overly sensitive to the point that it’s hard to be precise with it on PS5 since a slight press of the trigger moves it like 15-20%.
Groningen station is depicted really well given its current state (actually, about 6-9 months ago), while it is being overhauled. You can see the plans here, with a webcam on the building site: https://www.prorail.nl/projecten/meer-treinen-spoor-groningen-spoorzone (use google translate ). It would be really cool to have the finished station next year as a future update.
I wouldn't expect an updated Groningen. They never updated GWE to its current state either. Unless they'd do another route with Groningen, which I think is unlikely because NS doesn't operate the other routes to/from Groningen.
Another thing that I noticed: When you drive with the ICMm and close the doors, you will hear 2 bells. The first one when the doors start closing and the second one when the green light of "Doors Closed" activates. But in the game, you will hear the second bell before the doors are closed. The green lamp is still off when you hear that.
True, I don't expect it too to be honest. Just a wish of mine . And for your other suggestion: the 'Noordelijke nevenlijnen' would be great to have, but that would require a licensing deal with Arriva.
This is not a DLC issue, but sometimes happens with routes and trains. Sometimes it is fixed when restarting the game, other times re-installing the DLC helps..
Hi everyone, the DLC is really awesome, but I noticed that in both trains the switch to turn the batteries on and off doesn't work, is there a possibility to implement them?
No, your progress is saved within your player profile. I install and uninstall DLC's all the time, and my previous progress is still visible.
Noticed in Service 6224 Groningen to Assen: ATB is going to 60 before the speed limits on the track are changed to 60.....
Noticed a small spelling mistake at Onnen on the S-boards. It should be "Bel TRDL NCBG" in stead of TRFL. Compliments to the theam tho, the route looks and feels amazing. More of this in future pretty please
I caved pretty much straight away, only managed to do one run so far though due to time constraints but made it an end to end run I saw lots of birdies too
Meh, I'm not too interested in local train operators. As someone from the Randstad, I'm not familiar with them. I'd rather see more NS trains which are a familiar sight throughout the country. Plus, considering Zwolle - Groningen is a pretty rural environment, I hope the next Dutch route is in a more populated area (Randstad for example). Would love to see more urban environments.
That's not correct. The second bell comes when the guards local door starts closing. The green light comes a bit after. You can see that a ton in all the POV videos on YT and i also got told by a ICM driver how that works. In game it is done by a simple timer because it was not really doable on the base of the actual closing single door. That's why in guard mode it's a bit off. Compromises...
But I tried to drive the locomotive on Free Roam, but I can not do it! I believe it is due to the different power features and setting in Holland vs Germany Even I changed on the Vectron Display to the "Holland mode" = Dutch flag showed... but nothing happens! I remember DTG mentioned they have to made some modification to this model on the launch streaming, but it seems it is not ready yet.
Yes I have noticed too. They are made with great detail. Even there are different ones: 2 storks, 1 stork, with eggs and empty nest.
