    Hi all.

I would like to explain the current situation as it stands. Now as a Member of this Project and my whole within the Team is to monitor this thread and manage what is necessary behind the scenes.
The purpose of this thread is not only for me to be involved with making my liveries but you the community to be involved too.
I could upload a number of liveries done, as a way to show my contributions or away for this thread to be more alive with input from the thread creator. But it’s not about me.

As already outlined the basic reasons for this project was fans coming together with you the community at the heart it’s success.
Here myself and TrainGeek08, JPlayz would like to give a massive thank you to all of you that has supported us in getting this project of the ground. We couldn’t do it with you the community and I couldn’t have get this far without the massive amount of work TrainGeek08, JPlayz have devoted to this project. I couldn’t do it with out.

So due the massive amount of work required by members I feel rather bad about my personal situation at the moment and what I am asking of them. Nothing major, but I’m in a good amount of pain which is some what effecting my drive.
Here I feel TrainGeek08 and JPlayz may have to hold the fort so to speak. Which I feel will add to their work load.

I don’t want that for members of the Team or you as a community on the quality of content from either creators.
By all mean I’m not saying to you the community not to be involved all I am asking is due to the situation the Team my find it hard to be here and deal with what is important to each individual member personally needs.

This is again for the benefit of the Team and the quality of content I feel is need for such a National event by us.
The Team will do all that it can to here but please forgive the Team if there is any errors or missed communications.
As I say due to what I am asking of them is a lot now I feel I’m taking a back step.

I want to reassure the Team members publicly and you the community that I will be here when I feel I have the drive and passion to contribute anything of value.
And the Team will being all they can during this untimely situation.

As always I thank TrainGeek08, JPlayz and you The Community.
It would never get this far without all of your support.

    I really thank you all.
    Lee, TSLP.

Actually I’m gonna push myself to the limits tonight. An idea suddenly born, so I will share with you tomorrow on its progress.

Something as a inspiration to get the creative mind going.
And don’t forget I will still be keeping my eye on the look out for something really special done by the community.

On a personal note and read it to as you feel, but like a bit of competition;) who doesn’t like a competitive element. Competition gets the best out of us doesn’t it?. So come on folks push those creative brain cells.

It’s for celebrating Rail 200. Who knows what the future holds.
The bigger and better we all make this then the brighter we will all shine, because if I can I’d love for this to process towards raising money charity. (Possibly future discussion?)
As I have said to the Team I haven’t done anything much with my life. So just trying to give back for once doing what I can.

Hopefully we can all be part of something no matter how little, it’s doesn’t stop us from dreaming big does it.
It’s down to the individual how important the event is as an event on a personal level to overcome and make something a success.

United for the same cause. Giving while learning as we go. Giving each other strength every step of the way.

That’s all folks, and forgive me if I sound odd. Must be the amount of pain killers I’ve took.
    Bye all.
    Lee, TSLP.

I thought I'd jump in and just say a few words. As Lee said above, thank you all for your continuing support. It means a lot and it helps to create the content you all love. I thought I'd also post some images of some of the work I've been doing. Not all of it will be of significance, but rather for inspiration for where I want to take my side of the projects. I agree. I'd advise you to communicate your work in the way you see fit. If you aren't ready to showcase anything, it's fine. I don't have any updates personally, and will only share updates to everyone in the community when I do progress with the scenario development. Just re-assure the community you are still doing work, and they'll (hopefully) believe it. The community know how much of a hard worker you are :).

I appreciate it . However, we should be thanking you for being the one to come up with this idea in the first place. Believe me, me and JPlayz would still only be working on our normal content and keeping ourselves to ourselves if it wasn't for you. So thank you for believing and choosing both of us to join you on this adventure.

And that's okay. There might be times in the project where I'm not available to update anyone on the scenarios, or there may be times where I don't update you all on the scenario for a few days. Just remember; the project is community-driven, so we want the best out of you (the community). Give us your best work! :)

I wouldn't think you're taking a backwards step. Just because me and JPlayz have started our segments of the project and are working hard to complete them, doesn't mean you are behind at all. I'm sure you'll catch up anyway once you've bounced back from the pain you have been experiencing :). I'm taking my time with things (unsure about JPlayz, but I imagine he's doing the same) and not getting too far ahead of myself. Don't worry about being behind, just do what you do best! That's what everyone is looking for out of you .

Just take your time with things as I've said above. We have plenty of time to get this across the line, so I wouldn't worry if you are slow starting your end of the deal :).

    TG08 .

Thanks guys,,,your gonna get me crying here.
I really appreciate what we all doing. Doing this project together, coming together to try new things even meet new people.

All as decent human beings, as this could be to some not only as a project but for some to come out of their shell.
By that I mean I believe after finding certain things out, that the society of todays males don’t do what we use to. We’re not taking anymore of socialising due to pubs and workmen’s clubs becoming a things of the past. So where do they go? Who do they talk to?
Speaking from my own personal perspective I no longer have a friends no one to speak to or confine in. A mate someone you would do anything for. Yes we may have superficial work friends but where is that feel of what I was used to growing up.

All the pubs and all of the locals that would go down for a laugh, game of Darts or pool. Gone, it’s all gone.
Shut down or turned into some fancy bistro restaurant.

So because this site has proved to me personally about how a place like this can make one grow even meet new people with the same interests, then is it the same for others that too don’t have all the outlets or ways of socialising we had in the past and by doing something like this is about helping or supporting those that maybe having a hard time.

As I write this I do wonder where I am going with it, as I say in a strange mood today.
But if look at what’s going on the world right now then by having a project like this is not only to add to the celebrations, but to be decent Human beings as we just never know who where talking to or what’s going on in there lives.

I’ve learnt a lot, had my ups and downs, we all have, but it’s by being here meeting the people I have that has made me who I am today.
The community, you made me, so I will try give back and help others as much as I can along the way.

The Project is the Project it’s the people that matter and in more ways than one.
To grow and be a better person.

I think the world needs love right now. So yes,,,sorry it may be completely off topic.
The Project as I say is the project it’s you the community that makes it special.

And you guys, TrainGeek08 and JPlayz.
Your team mate and community buddy:)

Looking good, I know you can’t say too much but are you thinking of doing a number of liveries across several classes.
It maybe a good idea as I’m heading in that direction. I can only use what I have which is every UK loco DLC and routes bar the Preston Carlisle and the new Wales DLC, man I so want that one so bad, in fact I want them all:)

But they cost money so thinking on maybe if we know what you do have in locos or routes then I could look at the DLCs you don’t have.
Just a thought tho. May help in giving you direction rather than thinking to much on what unit to work on.

In fact I will probably ask the community what they would like to see. It will help us both understand where to go and again a great way for the community to get involved too in the livery creation.

Anyway looking good, I am definitely curious on what this will look like when completed.
A little excitement in a other wise boring uneventful life, lol.

Absolutely loving this tho, actually perked me up a little, thanks JPlayz.
Keep the good work up, but remember have fun. It’s an ORDER.

Okay gonna go before I say anything stupid again. I’m all over the place today mate.
Normal service will resume soon, hopefully. I could tie a piece of string to my tooth then slam the door shut like my Grandad did for me.
Mind you the way I am today I’d probably mess that up too.

    Catch you soon mate.
    Lee.

Sorry to hear about your rough day. I'm glad I helped slightly. I guess I'm repaying you for your help you gave to me :)

Regarding the liveries for DLCs, I get your point. I'll do a review on all my DLCs and then make a start on designs. I have quite a few liveries for the 801 I've already made ;) I did try sending some images to you, but I don't think it works in DM which is a shame.

    Take care of yourself :)

While I've got some time, TG08, could you send me a list of potential liveries you may like me to make to include in scenarios you are making when you can? I'll try send you some updates as well if possible to show you my progress so we can try and work in tandem with each other.

Cheers for this mate, actually looking at my stuff again last night and I’m short on the Class 37 ROG, and the Birmingham DLC.
I’m kitted out with all the Heavy Freight packs. Class 40s, The Peaks Class or 45s. (45s a right work horse) Class 47s, Class 20, Class 33. Class 08. So the Manchester Leeds route. I’d say I’m pretty covered for most really. I don’t t have the Silver Stock tho something I’d possibly like done on that class personally.
I feel it deserves a place for what’s it’s contributed to the nation and for many generations. Definitely deserves a nod for the celebrations due its significance.

Something you will have to consider tho, by the way this is if your not already doing what am about to say, which is choose a class that is appropriate for the design in mind. By this I mean way up what it’s takes to get the basics done then see what you have left for the main focus of the livery. Anything from Logos to detailing or art pieces.
You see what I mean in min. If you do this already then ignore what I said:)
But if not then please have a think about what I said. It does help in planning a livery so you don’t run short of decals near the end.
I even build in more decals or make a copy of a complex group so it kinda leaves me tighter on decals than necessary.
There for make better use of what I have. Not wasting decals for no reason.
If by the ends I do start getting really stuck then just delete extra decals I built in or kept to one side. Easy to find, easy to delete, meaning loads of decals when needed most. At the end. And more importantly no need to stress pulling apart work to find a few extra decals.

And as before don’t take this the wrong way, but some models are more demanding to do or require excessive amounts of decals if certain tricks are not known. If you find yourself having trouble with some areas of a model, then please let me know and I’ll see if I have any tricks up my sleeve that may help us out. You may have ways of doing things I’m not aware of too.
I’m also up for learning more from others, because in some areas of my work I feel I am lacking some elements other users have.

Loads of great content and skill out there which I’m sure they could teach me a trick or two that’s for sure.
Something I’d like to have seen happen on The Works Shed, users sharing a few tips etc to help some members on their way.

Anyway don’t let me slow you down or add any pressure. Like I say you choose what you like or what your more comfortable with, because I think we’re okay on the DLC front which means anything you don’t do I’ll pick up if you want.
Obviously we don’t have to stick to this idea but I just thought it may help in avoiding duplicating the same class that’s all.
Yes have a few like a class 43 or something with historical significance to what we are doing, but I see no point on us making nothing but a Class 390 for example.

Something else to consider is not overloading TG08 as he is the one that is building the routes and it his job to work with us and the community on what he needs in regards to class or livery. This is an essentially area of his role because it’s TG08 that is designing the themes of the routes. His Job is to try including everything from the community that is seen fit for the project.
There for our work is not necessarily important but the work of others by the community. Yes we are both making liveries one is an idea your now working on and will be included. I have many liveries but I do not expect all of them to be used by TG08, I fully accept that due it being a open for the community it’s a basic fact be a member or not.

So yes TG08 will I’m sure have his hands full, especially as time passes the project has more work injected from the community.
I see no point on busting our,,PARDON!.,,,to push out work all day long. It’s unnecessary to overload ourselves or TG08.
Yet I’m sure this conversation between you and TG08 have taken place, TG08 is the route man. Let’s the community know what he needs and we assist on finding them or making if he feels fit. It’s not going to stop me with my own work tho be related to Railway 200 or not.

Because I love making liveries and right know my mind is full of them. It’s fun.
And what did I say about fun. We’ll have it lad:)
I definitely am with what your about to see in the following comments.

As you can I’m doing this with no expectation of it being used by TG08, it’s for my own enjoyment making it to hopefully place out for others to enjoy.

    Catch you in a bit.
    Lee.

Oh mate yep, what bad day yesterday, burning up, the pain, still not good but, yet a lot better than yesterday. Felt like me head was gonna explode. Anyway no time for self pity, pulled me socks up and plod on. Left, Left, Left, Right, Left.

I think I’ve accidentally hit upon this topic in the previous comment. So no need for the re literate.
And by all means show me by DM, you can send photos. I used my ICloud Drive. So I would save the photo or the URL code to my IPad which I would have a file for. Then when I wanted to send a message in DM then those pictures would be in the media file in the above message tool options. You maybe able to send as attachments to but mate I’m not the best one for all that.
I am absolutely shocking when it’s comes to emails and computers. TG08 maybe the best man for that.

Right gonna check your other post out.
    Bye for now.

    Okay then folks.
I said I’d push and this is what I done last night. Made all the basic layout then focused on this.
    Can anyone guess what steam tram it is?. IMG_2592.jpeg IMG_2593.jpeg IMG_2594.jpeg IMG_2595.jpeg IMG_2596.jpeg …….

Getting to the end. IMG_2597.jpeg IMG_2598.jpeg IMG_2599.jpeg IMG_2601.jpeg IMG_2602.jpeg The last photos are a test to see how visible it was in the light, I do have a few issues but hopefully I can darken it so the lines appear fuller from a distance. I was working so fine that I was worried it’s would disappear when out on track. But seems okay to be fair.

I absolutely loved getting my head around this one last night. I wasn’t so sure I could do it, but I managed it.
Had to do a few short cuts for the cog teeth as using an individual two block group tooth used a lot on the decals front.
Two stripe decals two teeth blocks over getting Two square decals one teeth block. I think it adds more character to the original hand drawn design.

I really have to say right now I am loving what Railway 200 is given the nation in terms of ideas for the event. There is so much inspiration I’m excited to move on to something new, because there is so much information out there.

I have to thank Railway 200 for that. So thank you so much Railway 200. These are for you and your event.
For all to enjoy when I finally complete.

Okay well I do hope you enjoy what I’ve been upto, please let me know in the comments of anything I could do to make it better, and don’t forget to let me know what Steam Tram it is:). First one to answer can give the power car a TOPs number. How does that sound?.

By for now folks, and enjoy the rest of your day.

My 'guess' (if you will) is (Stephenson's) Rocket...

My idea for a TOPS code is 43829, as it alludes to the year Stephenson's 'Rocket' was built (1829). I'd also call the power car 'Rocket' as it would be a good homage to the locomotive on the side :).

It looks good so far, keep it up!

    TG08 :).

Wrong. Go back a few years 1803:) But because you guess right for me next one I’ll call the one “Rocket” Version 43829. And as I keep mentioning to you it’s like your reading my mind because, yep that’s the plan my friend.

It’s also to help JPlayz on the look or direction of the HST Power cars or Passenger Cars. Which again is to feature the men behind Rail evolution. By having a Power cars with a name and loco would be a great fit for the rest of the stock.

You can clearly see where I am coming from with its concept. It’s a one of special that JPlayz on his hands. So at this stage it’s kinda separate until I get a feel of what JPlayz wants or his possible direction he himself has in mind.

If I can make a number of Power Cars with this theme that ties in with the rest, then having separate Coaches and Powers cars will help user mix and match. Guys like your self that do scenarios as an example.

Either way I’ll take your advice as I have done before and served me well too;)
    Thanks TG08.

Tip it’s not a Steam Train. But a Tram,,,,,.
Remember for something to happen an idea must be thought of, but for it to work takes the intelligence to spot something world changing.

Ooooooh so close with this one and your very very close indeed. And are close in design. (Mines) Sadly it’s not the Puffing Devil tho but your on the right tracks pardon the pun.

Another Hint is,, it pulled 10 tonnes.
But seeing it’s getting late and I would like to move on with this livery would you like to give the livery a TOPs number?
I have something else under my HAT that has magically appeared you see.

And to be fair the full design at on there yet and you are pretty close.

    Rightman;). RT.

No no. Similar in design but on the one in question then look at the means of power to the wheels. Or drive. This is why the Tram Engine was able to do what it did.

It was the idea of power delivery to the wheels that makes this one special. It had the power to pull loads efficiently.
I’ll let you know tho if you want?.

Okay and sure some have got work, so can’t be messing around here all day:).

So the Stream Tram is the Pen-y-Darren locomotive by Richard Trevithick. It pulled 10 tonnes as 500 quinea bet to see if steam power could pull that amount over a ten mile distance.

As you can see tomtrainboy#1289 was very close tho.

I thank you guys for taking part in this little bit of excitement. It will get easer tho.
TrainGeek08 you already guessed the next one or did you?

Thanks again chaps and it’s good night from me.

Of course! Pen-y-Darren was gonna be my second guess, but was more confident with Puffing Devil for some reason

And the bet well there was some doubts on wether it completed the journey in one go, due to a bearing problem I think.
So didn’t actually make the full trip. But knowing the huge size of Richard Trevithick then I’m sure he got his money unofficially:)

He was a hard industrialist himself in the Cornish coal and mining industry. And where he got the idea for the likes of the Puffing Devil.
    Pen-y-Darren was a improved version that’s all.

    oops one sec.

You may have got it then if I had the detail done for the end piston connected to the long drive rod and the detail for the large drive wheel then I think you would have got it. So you was very close my friend so as I say it’s all your to place a number on:)

I think it’s only fair seeing it this late.

Yep TG08 said that at first too. But again if you look at how differently the two deliver power to the wheel then the difference is quite significant between the two.

I was into mining and engineering as that what I did in my teens. So learning about mining and the difficulties they had working under and out at sea made flooding a massive problem. Hence where Thomas Newcomen came in to the mix.
Then with Londons sewage problems and out brakes of cholera that he eventually pinned down a well locals was using contaminated with sewage. So Steps in Joseph Bazalgette to fix the issues and where I leant more about beam engines, pumps and the various ways steam was used.

You will see there design elements within early development of steam engines and steam locomotives.
Two completely different things. But born from the same idea, the power was used for motion not for pumping water.

That’s why all who come after 1825 are mostly associated with steam and steam engines. Not steam locomotives as they should be. And so the engineers behind the early stages of the steam engine designs and those that tuned the steam engine in to locomotive power.
    A locomotive often get forgotten.

    Morning all.

And a fantastic morning it’s, I didn’t think I get this to were I am with decals which is 837 with redundancy still built in, plus I said it would be done for today and it technical is. So absolutely chuffed to bits.
    IMG_2607.jpeg IMG_2609.jpeg

Not sure if I should carry the cream lines as seen on Side A,
IMG_2605.jpeg or end as seen on Side B.
    IMG_2606.jpeg
I’m a little unsure what to do, so if any of you morning commuters have any feedback then please let me know.
Especially since it’s for the Railway 200 celebrations and i want it to be perfect for all.

Anyway I’m off now, can just about text, but enjoy the rest of your day folks.
And hope to catch you all soon.

    Night:)

    You could do it either way realistically;

Side A route: If you wanted to continue the cream lines, then I'd stop it like you did on Side B, but instead continue the lines on the other side of the engine 'fan'. It'll just make it look nicer.

Side B route: Absolutely perfect, doesn't need changing at all. My preferable choice out of the two options.

Have a good rest, you deserve it!

    TG08 :).

    Hello:)

Thanks for the the feedback and I’m kinda with you on Side B, for does look better fitting.
Plus there is more to be done today on it, as I’m gonna introduce a red line today in that area of topic. Which knowing how I work means I’ll probably alter something again for it to work.

Thanks for kind messages to, plus the advice tho TG08, it does help me make a clear decision when I’m really stuck.

Back to work then it is, enjoy the rest of your day TG08.
    Catch you soon.

Quick update. I’m running behind, due a little distraction on here. But I will be focusing on this and something else today.
Rail 200 Logo as originally intended by TM owners terms of use. IMG_2617.jpeg

So I’ll be back when I can folks.

I do believe TG08 has something for you all soon so, TrainGeek08 the stage is now yours:).
Hope you enjoy his latest work, I’m sure you will as always.

Done as or as far as I can for now. Got something else on.

Should I leave the logo plain red or add some white?. I’m getting tight but still have around 50 decals as redundancy still.
Need to add some posh writing (Edit)tho,,that’s where it’s gonna get tight with around 150 to 160 decals left.

But anyway here it’s with the Rail 200 logo on, ready for action. IMG_2618.jpeg IMG_2619.jpeg IMG_2620.jpeg
    Bye for now.

I'd say go for white in the areas with darker colours (blue,purple,etc...) and red for lighter colours (white, beige, etc...). It looks great regardless

That livery looks great Lee. The red line fading into the Rail 200 logo is a perfect design idea :).

JPlayz has summed up what I would've said quite nicely, so might as well not repeat it :D.

TrainGeek08 as always a truly astonishing achievement to reach this far in such short time.

For once I am lost for words. I can’t wait until it’s finished, I’ll have to buy The Preston Carlisle DLC tho first. DTG are pumping out content left right an centre these days.

Great photos to, good photos always set work off.

Keep the excellent work up my friend. Proper bob on:)

Well, I still have a lot of AI to put in, so it might be a week or two until the finished product. Even then, there might be things I notice in post-creation testing that might need adjusting, so it might be longer than that ;).

You're going to have to buy Preston-Carlisle! Otherwise you cannot play the finished product :D. Currently at 19 AI services and the player train (and that's before doing AI between Watford and London (on both the main and Lioness/Bakerloo lines)).

Cheers for the kind words! I focused on capturing some good moments in the scenario for everyone to enjoy. I hope it has done the scenario justice so far .

Hey no no don’t let me rush you, again I wouldn’t know what it takes to make something this complicated.
    Your area of expertise:)

And don’t say that:)….I want the route before any of this kicked off. As I say I’d drive up to Scotland a lot and to the NE so I would take the back roads around that area of Cumbria. The scenery was heartbreaking it was so beautiful. I loved being alone there, so quiet.
It why I love driving trains and so to drive on such a route would be a god send for me.

In me Cab, minding me own business enjoying the fictitious train driver job I have while taking in all the beautiful sights.

No wonder you got some great pics. I wanna get my hands on the route for those purposes also.

I may have to start busking at this rate tho, skint.
    Excellent work tho again TG08.

Catch you tomorrow now mate, med time:)

    Morning all,,again.

Right take two. As mentioned I had a few decals left in my back pocket and by heck did I need them.
Still not what I wanted but the best I can get with what’s available.
So that’s this one done, I guess. I’m still used on say the text being white, may change it to red.

Any feedback on the above mentioned or anything else your not happy with, then just let me know.
When I final I am confident with the livery fully, then I will make sure all that has helped gets a shout out.

    Well it’s only fair.

Okay 99.99 percent done. First photo was a major move (Notice the group count) I was so glad I had no funny decals giving me hassle, so that was good.
    IMG_2622.jpeg IMG_2623.jpeg IMG_2624.jpeg IMG_2625.jpeg IMG_2626.jpeg
wheels look fuller now they have been un grouped too. Another bonus’s as I hope they stayed the way I had set them and they did.

So I’d say been a delightful 48 hours work, and for once quite proud of this one.

    Right well I’m off.

Last day today folks for the news on well, what to do. I can’t settle, so I hope it’s today and it’s good news.

I’d say wish me luck but luck has never been my friend. She probably has in some places of my life unaware.
I do pray She’s on my side today, for all of us. And the Team.

TrainGeek08 and JPlayz, I’ll let ya know.
    And to all thank you.

    Lee, TSLP.

It's all good. It'll take as long as it takes I suppose ;).

The route is been made really well, and I'm sure it'll bring out some nostalgia in you anyway. Props to Just Trains for making another top-notch route for the TSW player base to enjoy!

The screenshots are on West Coast Main Line South, but the Class 87 is a really good loco for screenshots. Don't forget, there is a Class 86 in development by JT too. (Potential addition when it releases?)

I'll keep working away at it when I can :).

    TG08 :).

Hey, that true. Glad I’m not rushing things like in the past. You enjoy it more don’t you.

My friend I’m gonna see what I can do because, well listen to what you have to say. I’m jealous:)
It’s good stuff right now coming about by third party developers such as the ones you mention.
It’s why I stuck with TSW, because I knew it was limitations of the tech.

Not only that tho but the people and teams that make it happen. A problem of mine with keeping myself to myself is I don’t find much about who and what goes on or who’s responsible for the quality of the product, even some of the devs.
As they must work hard, because it takes me a good few days to do a livery and I don’t work.

So yes I agree with you on the route we have now and up coming are truly miles away from the past.

A huge accomplishment by DTG and it’s the partners to reach this level.

And work, well I don’t. Yet I do perfectly understand a work life and routine, and the amount of you time life leaves you.
Which from experience is not much, its why have more than appreciation for the time you give.

    Responding and the Project.

So have a good day TG08.
    Lee.
