Hello. Sorry in advance if I’m a bit harsh in this post. I’ll try to keep it down, but I’m a bit salty. First and foremost, let me say I’m more than happy to see that such a tool exists. It’s really nice and I hope to see more ideas like that. Let’s get on the messy part. If your train is a bit long, you cannot zoom out past a point, so it’s hard, or even impossible to glance at your consist in one view. More The UI to move the camera is atrocious. You have to left-click to zoom-dezoom, right-click to move left and right, and keep a mouse button pressed to circle the camera… It’s horrible guys. I guess the devs know it because they have tested it, maybe listen to their insights. I’d say let’s have a "move around mode" and a "build mode", that you can switch from one to another. And use the move around mode like we move a free camera. It’s working flawlessly (almost) in-game Selecting a locomotive / wagon is painful if you have some DLCs. The filters are a good thing, but there isn’t nearly enough of them. On top of my head I would want filters for Loco / wagon coach Passenger / Freight DLC / Route (wagon / loco that comes with that DLC / Route) Why are the filters resetting after each selection I make? Ok, maybe I’m dumb for wanting to add the same wagon ten times without using the duplicate option, but don’t make the user’s life harder for not knowing he can. And what if I want to create a formation with UK vehicles only? Can we have a preview for wagons? I’d like to know what is the look of something before I add it to my consist. Would be great to have the weight, if not the length of the wagon (granted, lengths are pretty much standardized, I think) When I click on the last element of a consist, the listview does not scrolls down to show me the options. I have to scroll down manually Same thing when I duplicate the last entry. I have to scroll down again to select that vehicle When I use the copy button from the detail of a vehicle, the copy button is then disabled for this wagon until I add another vehicle Stats don’t show the overall length of the consist. Seems to me that would be quite important That’s all I get after using the tool for 10 minutes. I think I’ve said what other players have said, but hopefully it will be useful to anyone lest I’ve just lost 20 minutes redacting this…
i agree 100% that we need a preview before we want to select a train or wagon! maybe this post can also go in the suggestion thread?
