I'm currently playing on today's patch, just typing this as of a few minutes ago... :/ edit: seems guard mode still bugged on this route. all doors closed and locked, checked every single door, and the train won't move with status showing "stop movement locked".
On the SNG: -The MR needle is yellow in stead of orange when its dark outside. - The doors closed light should be a ring, like the cab light button in stead of a full circle.
Also, minor point of feedback on Station Zwolle. I'd wish, in the tunnel under the station, the PIS screens also had the appropriate platform numbers available. Right now, whether we're talking about on the walls next to the stairs, elevators, or the PIS screens, there's no way of seeing what platforms are at which stairs. Also, the PIS information for platform 6, seems to be on the screen in the tunnel for platforms 8-9-10
FYI 150 Jaar Nederlandse Spoorwegen, 1 juli 1989 Back in 1989 this ICM ran as a cheerfully stickered train on the occasion of NS-150. On 1 July 1989 the set was used as a broadcast train for a live broadcast on television, for which the middle section was temporarily converted and an automatic coupling was replaced by a camera. The 4083 was also the first ICM to be given the name Koploper. New in the CreatorsClub!
The cab light button in the SNG seems to be fixed too (Scenario: Groningen hero). Edit: also worked on a random timetable.
I noticed those people coming in the station on strange way!... I wonder if they have payed their ticket? .... There are also some train spotter too! Nice details...on this route!.
So, maybe someone else can clue me in here, but is the following realistic behavior on the NS SNG? When turning the train lights on in cab 1, they remain on from cab 1, so if you now go over to cab 2 and try to turn the train lights off from there, you can't, until you've turned them off in cab 1.
From what I've seen, I think there are both 3-car and 4-car ICM Koploper sets in real life, and they are also connected in different ways, for example 4+3, etc. It's a shame that something like that wasn't applied to this map, it could have been a little more diverse in the result ......
Can I just confirm - is guard mode still bugged after the patch? The issue where you can't move between the cars?
Tried the 1 hour service in Conductor Mode just now and the amount of tickets to check in a single EMU was correct for me. Could check all 20 out of 20. Only thing that could leave me a little confused is when someone with a ticket (on the service from Groningen to Zwolle) from Haren -which I just departed from - to Amersfoort Vathorst is accepted, the game gave me -300 pts, even though IRL that would be a valid ticket.
This DLC has quickly climbed the ranks and I am happy to report that it has reached GOAT status for me. The wayside scenery makes up for the fact that the route is mostly a flat, straight line and the trains are amazing, the safety systems are glorious. Overall, I am happy enough to consider changing my avatar to a smiling Thomas face.
Yeah, my only real complaints about the routes and trains, (other than there not being more ) For the route, it's that I'd wish southern emplacement for Zwolle was also featured and accessible, as well as the VAM-berg (between Hoogeveen and Beilen), even if only for Free Roam usage. Would've given a bit of extra depth. And of course there's the lack of spawn/fast travel points for the freight and passenger yards. But that one's probably not too hard to fix in future updates I'd imagine. And for the trains. It's that you can't turn battery power off. Not even a simplified way. But, I'm guessing this is probably a term imposed by NS in order to allow their trains to be used in the game. So I guess that one can't really be helped.
I am absolutely loving this route, a massive well done to all involved. You can just tell you are in the Netherlands by the scenery, it's so Dutch. I love the section with the little waterways along the line. What's great about this route too, it's so easy to go HUD-less too! Performance on my computer is also excellent. Hopefully more Dutch routes and trains will be coming to TSW! I do feel that this route would benefit so much from an AI guard. It's half way there for the Sprinter, when you press Y or U, you can see the key going in to close the doors.
In real life, switching off the batteries in an ICMm is also not possible (at least not in an easy way). Placing the main mode selector in 0 is almost the same as switching off the batteries. But yeah, in the SNG it could have been added.
Yeah, I had a feeling that was the case for the ICM, so I did mainly have the SNG in mind when I was typing that. I mean, I get that while NS is cooperative, they may not wish to give the people an "expert level" experience like on the DB BR 101 in which you can fiddle with every single switch and see what happens, even a very simplified battery on/off would've been good (it's not like we can't see the switch already anyways)
Also what the hell is going on with these station lights? Why are the edges of the lightcones so sharp?
The enterance signals at Groningen Europapark are alocated to the wrong tracks. This happened when choosing a path from Groningen to Groningen Europapark via Platform 1&2, signal 2092 is responding to track 2, and signal 2090 is responding to track 1, while it should be the otherway around! Additionally: When setting a Path from Groningen Europapark platform 1 to Onnen using the Diesel-line, signals 2130 and 2170 do not show a speed restriction for the upcoming switches, they stay green wile 2130 should have showed a yellow-4 and 2170 a blinking green.
looks like it was just temporary bug, restarted the service and I managed to get through that point... somewhere near Meppel, as you approach the station, some ICMs got stuck/bugged and blocked the whole traffic
Maintenance Madness scenario. On the approach to Meppen and again just before Zwollen, the arms of the wind turbines seem perilously close to the catenary, tracks and train. Need to be moved back.
Found a few more oopsies in the overhead line equipment along the route: KM: 32.6 KM: 38 KM: 75.3 KM: 76.3 KM: 76.5 [1/2]
Could indeed be more switches to interact with, so you can do a proper 'cold' startup procedure in the SNG.
Well the conductor mode on the trains from Den Haag to Leeuwarden and vice versa (Zwolle - Meppel) is useless. Just departed from Meppel on my way to Zwolle and I have to wait until I am at the next stop before I can do anything.....
Yeah did that one too... It's just a conductor ride with closing the doors in Meppel and opening doors in Zwolle.. Lol
And how do I need to uncouple the SNG? I have a service with task Uncouple, but going to the rear train set, Applying the parking brakes and press uncouple button for at least 5 seconds doesn't have any effect....
I honestly can't fathom why they are unable to set these up properly. They should simply use the same material settings for both textures so they are reflecting light the same way in all scenarios. Back in the TSW2020 days it was alright. Then at one of the TOD changes both the terrian and track ballasts became too shiny. First they fixed the terrain textures, but the ballasts remained shiny. Now they pretty much removed any reflectiveness from the ballasts, but the ground still has some, so it's still mismatched. Honestly can't imagine what is going on inside their heads when they are setting these values up. It's not rocket science, just basic material properties. Just use the same goddamn value for the two. Edit: Interestingly modders once again can set them up properly...
Yes I did. Put the master key in the rear part and pressed decouple. I checked the real manual for train drivers (as I am conductor IRL, I can access the manuals) so I also tried the parking break, without success https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme...c1147b6e9af6b75641d0eeadeb2e2d886daf370681ec&
Xbox series S. Have completed all 6 scenarios but the achievement hasn't unlocked! Here we go again, 2 broken achievements that will make yet another TSW game uncompletable if/when a new game gets released
I can't help but notice this information at Zwolle is incorrect. The sprinter to Utrecht Centraal does NOT stop at Amsterdam Centraal. It does, however stop at Amersfoort Centraal. Small detail, but still incorrect.
[PC] After running a sprinter service from Zwolle to Meppel, I wanted to do guard duties on the return journey sprinter from Meppel to Zwolle. I continued in freeroam mode, and waited for the train to arrive. First problem I noticed is that the AI-service stops at the very end of the platform, so near the 14 sign. This despite the sprinter only being 6 cars long, so it should be stopping around the 6 sign. When running a driver service coming from Groningen, I noticed the same problem. The stop indicator was all the way at the end of the platform as oppose to roughly where the train would stop in real life. Furthermore, when the train did arrive, I inserted the dispatch key to take over the service. When clicking the "Start service" I'm teleported into the platform, unable to move. Still able to access the different camera modes.
