Route West Coast Main Line: London Euston - Milton Keynes - Feedback

The emergency brake issue on the 350 is doing my head in. I probably just shouldn't drive it anymore.

The walls in the 1st class section is a new ish issue I believe - had it the other day for the first time, and had walked through the train fine before prior

 

Since the last update I’ve not been able to play Milton Keynes to London Euston WCML South I don’t know if this will ever get sorted but I can’t play this route anymore i’ve got installed. I’ve tried everything. I’ve tried uninstalled the game and reinstalling it. I still can’t play the WCML

 

Even with this update, Euston Station is creepy with no one around.
Please excuse any inappropriate expressions as I am using translation software.

 

Just checked on fps counter, it goes max to 30. Have had areas at Euston where is goes down to 18 which is hard stutters. Could the fps be improved. I believe routes should be able to go to 40 or 50 fps

 

The brake system on the Class 350 is too aggressive.

Setting the CPBC to the minimum braking position immediately gives us 50% of the electrodynamic braking force plus an additional 1 BAR for the air brake.

Setting the CPBC to about 50% braking force gives us 100% braking force. Additionally, setting it when braking from about 5 mph gives us more than 75% braking force, which causes a very strong jerk when braking to zero.

 

Heavy Traffic scenario cannot be completed (and thus the Journey mode cannot be completed either), because the game doesn't recognize the PBC set to P-1. Resetting the pysics simulation doesn't help.

 

I had this same issue last night, I have previously completed it but was working through a few scenarios again for the March challenge.

 

Got two AWS warnings: one for a green signal (WM109), and one for a speed restriction (somewhere after Watford Junction I believe) that didn't apply to me.

 

I hope someone from DTG is actually reading this and taking notes...

No I wasn't. I've been playing the route quite a bit since buying it a few weeks ago and have enjoyed the HKA pack on the route as well.

Currently I'm actually a satisfied customer for the WCML would you believe...

It's just a shame there's still quite a lack of traction variety north of Watford junction.

 

That was both a rhetorical question, and a sarcastic response to them adding the sleeper when other more important services are missing.

 

The signal light TK3218 and the model 390 are clipping through each other.

 

at this point the route has been cast aside and ditched, like every other DLC that's more than 1 day old.

there's bugs reported here from 5 months ago that still exist.

 

is the dodgy suspension on the class 350 fixed yet
its so bumpy and the carriages move even when stationary

 

Was about to wrap up the Shed Life scenario from the HKA wagons add on when, of-MF-course, I’m stuck at a red outside South Hampstead because they are nothing but stuck trains everywhere ahead. Scenario cannot be completed, twice now, thanks for wasting my time DTG.

 

Performance on this route is horrible especially around Euston. Fps is around 25 - 23 which isn't stable at all. DTG Alex, are their improvement currently been worked on on the fps around Euston so that it can go over 30?

Edit: The fps is all over the route. Could this be potentially looked as it would help. I did have a crash 3 or 4 miles away from Watford Junction. Thanks

 

20fps coming into Watford junction isn't great

Edit: DTG Matt , I think this whole route needs a overhaul in terms if performance. Rarely got green on the run to mkc and had a crash. I hope this is useful

 

I am actually starting to see a pattern here and that maybe this is just a type of developers DGT are. It appears once they’ve created the route people then buy it, They actually couldn’t care less if the route is playable because they still get their money!

And I can tell you now, what is going to happen, NOTHING till they Announce TSW6, and promise they fixed all these BUGS, which will ofc be total BS as per.

I’ve seen comments about they are struggling, Losing staff, loosing money, But if they actually created a game with DLC’s that actually worked more people would play it. GREED has Taken priority.

 

I ran into this problem but found that when I drove the train to the next stop it suddenly registered this and the next goal complete at the same time, so I was able to compplete the scenario. Gve that a shot.

 

Tried that, didn't work for me.

 

I'm brand new to Trainsim in general and picked up TSW5 deluxe and a couple of UK DLC under the steam sale (as UK rail is all Im interested in) and with the Fawx timetable which includes the Full Avanti West Coast Class 390 Timetable plus their special liveries. (Including all ECS services, and first class facing the correct way) amongst other rolling stock/livery options for this line, plus his enhancement pack amongst other MODS over at train sim community and I'm thoroughly enjoying the WCML.. I'm actually enjoying trainspotting at certain stations as much as I am driving with their timetable! Would just like to see the addition of St Albans branch but one can dream!

Im on PC have my settings set to high(ish) and lock my frames at 80 and lowest I go is 55-60 at Euston

 

Shame multiple community members felt it necessary to put in lots of their spare time, for free, to fix multiple issues created by sloppy standards at DTG isn't it...............

 

I dont disagree there and for the prices outside of sales it does question ones tactics from the developer itself! but thank goodness for those members and I thank them immensely for their passion and efforts to do what they do, I know from my fsx/p3d days creating Aussie scenery due to the lack there of back then, it takes up your time for no real return.

 

Don't know what update occurred this to happen but 390s Pantograph is Up but at the Front end of the train instead of the rear (For AI Trains), it was correct before but not sure what update this occurred it to happen, also 350 PIS is still not working properly. DTG Alex DTG Harry are these known issues.
Also will we at some point have the full 390 timetable as well as the missing rail tours that were promised but couldn't be released due to optimisation and performance issues.

What performance issues, we talking Console?

 

I believe due to the route itself but yes mainly on consoles as PC has modders. as I am a console player.

 

Ok, seems to be nothing but issues on consoles as you view across this forum!
Not saying PC is the must go to but these are the issues when you try and maximize $ return and spread yourself across 3 platforms that don't all talk to each other!

So its console that holds back the progress of longer lines/ more branches within the game then!

 

Yep, well It seems performance issues and optimisation are fixed now on Console just waiting for those missing services but I could be wrong

 

Does anyone know if "Refreshing Refurb" and "Heavy Traffic" Scenarios got patched and can be completed by now?

I just now encountered this issue. Anyone else still having that? Any solutions? Could it be related to loading a save game?

 

I've just revisited the WCML south after a bit of time away from it and I think it looks a very good route now.Plenty of services and the graphical detail is incredible especially around the London end...and more importantly...no texture glitches.Its an enjoyable route now....or was I just lucky?

When we installed all the cargo DLC there, there were minor problems, especially on Lioness Line with 710, after arriving at Euston, the cabin was slightly blurred.......when I removed Cargo vol 1 and vol 2, it was ok

 

Yeah I had a similar experience on PS5 this evening but the most annoying current bug is the total lack of passengers at Euston. It's strange given most other stations are reasonably busy by typical game standards. But equally this is not a route specific issue as other routes are affected.

 

Will the tail lights on between 350 units ever be fixed?

They haven't fixed the same issue with the 801, 377 or 387, so I very much doubt it.

 

Was there a reason the 390s didn’t come with Name Plates? Would have been a nice and simple edition. 390129 being Brett I believe,
390020 Being the Scotsman want right?

 

Would’ve been nice, the Azuma would’ve been better with these too!

 

As well as Special Liveries would have been nice.
323’s had name plates. JT gave 87s,47s etc name plates.
Would have been nice seeing 390119 and 390121 have there liveries.
Little details make a route so much more interesting and also screenshots as well

 

That's another thing that I find puzzling is they have the "licenses" yet cannot create special liveries to those companies and designate them to their actual Timetable runs (and show up when selecting which class to use).. We all know about the optimization issues amongst other concerns but despite this its the small things like special liveries that can go a long way.. Yes there is creators club for those but they sub in randomly.....

matthewgoddard510 if you are on PC there is a fantastic TT mod for the WCML, better then anything in game that actually does this with the actual liveries of the 390s used to their specific schedule.

 

Agreed mate and I don't use CC anymore because it doesn't do great for my game always having issues so took them all off and when I do use them as you said they sub randomly and also like see multiple trains with the same Livery which makes it unrealistic.
I am on Playstation annoyingly so won't have access to that but that TT Mod is just stunning.

I wouldn't of been bothered if Dovetail put an Avanti Livery on the 801 (represent the AWC Every 805) to make it a 5 car service and then use the formation designer to make a 807 which is 7 cars. Even if it meant the Interior being LNER, wouldn't of bothered me at all.

The Mainline still feels quite empty on Console which is very disappointing for a constant active Main Line.

 

The issue with the scenario not recognising P1 is because it has been updated incorrectly to be a percentage based accelerator. It is NOT. It even has 1,2,3,4 written next to the physical accelerator, it changes in steps, 1-2-3-4 there are no intermediate levels, despite this ever since around christmas time and the taillights fail, the accelerator is stuck as a percentage system.

The taillights issue is STILL not fixed, it has been fixed in prior updates and then broken again.

Two things that need fixing immediately:
Taillights on between coupled units 350
Accelerator is a percentage thing when it should be in steps 1-4 not 1-100 like the braking.

 

If you are on PC I highly recommend these two mods, they will give you exactly what you want with the 390s and WCML South

If using the steam edition you download the zip or pak file (if zip unzip the paks within) and move the pak files to your DLC folder

If using the windows store version you put the paks in a preexisting DLC folder such as WCML dlc folder along side the WCML pak.

 

You know, I am all very critical of the route rightfully so. As Said much better now than it was during the early stages. But those 390 services that are missing including services to the depot through the day and then at night. As well as AI services missing. Makes Euston feel a little empty during some periods of the day. We got the full 350 and 710 timetable I assume Underground too? Why is the 390 timetable being left unless there if some fix in the works still. Same for Railtours and Sleeper trains.

But I am happy we got the 390 in the game now very happy, love driving the train just hope some day in the future we will get a Route Primarily for the 390 that will do the 390 Justice.

Know it probably doesn't mean much but if I find any missing AI/Playable services I will put them in here in hope they will get put into the Route in the future. Should of done that from the start would of been near a 100 by now or even over. It is silly how many 390 services are missing

 

I have only just noticed this at Watford Junction and Milton Keynes, anyone know what causes the following?
