Liveries My Creators Club Content

Greetings everyone,
My name is JPlayz. I will be using this thread to demonstrate my liveries and scenarios that I make. I currently have an art thread in the Off Topic category as well as helping TG08 and Rigsby of TSLP with his Rail 200 thread, which I'll link below. As a disclaimer, I will only post screenshots of the content made for Rail 200 with the permission of both Rigsby and TG08.

Hey not a problem for the Railway 200 as your making them as a free community member I have no control of your thread.
I do appreciate your concern tho but not a problem my friend.

Its your thread your work so do what you like, it’s good your doing this actually regardless of what I may have waffled on about in a previous comment. So yes Railway 200 thread is there for anyone to post a comment livery because Railway 200 is no way my event.
It’s for everyone so share if that’s what needed for the involvement of others to help celebrate the event.

Because as fans of Rail and for what Railway 200 is all about then that’s what we’re doing as a few community members and if anyone wants to Jump on board at your Station (Thread) or mine or TG08 then we’re all heading in the same direction.

Derby for Railway 200 celebrations coming later this year.

So again not a problem you have fun my friend and again well (Edit) done on the work.

Greetings everyone,
I would first like to apologise for the delay. I will try and make sure everything is ready in the future to ensure this doesn't happen again.
Right, let's get into it shall we?

Update notes:

Grand Central:


-Added image showcasing Grand Central branding + Adverts like the existing Grand Central 221 143
-Updated orange slightly to look more realistic

TFW 805:



-Added 1st Class signage onto First Class coaches
-Changed train number so it now reads 805 231 rather than 805 175 to reflect the reference image I used for inspiration (the class 231)
-Updated size of decals so that it looks more appropriate

Unbranded LNER/VTEC 91 livery on an 801:
-Added coach number base decals (the dark red border surrounding the coach numbers) - I will post an image for this shortly.

A few more updates will follow in the coming days and weeks. If anyone has any feedback for the liveries used, please don't hesitate. I will take on any feedback given. Especially for the Grand Central and Unbranded LNER/VTEC liveries as they aren't my local operator, so have had to get images from online.

I have a few more projects lined up which I have discussed briefly in @Rigsby's thread, and some which I will keep to myself for the time being. The only clue I will be providing is that it will be a livery will be based off of a tilting train.

Nice work there mate, I like what you done on the sign. Your good at LE, the more time you’ll spend on there the more you learn.
So please keep it up for your liveries are great mate.

I wish I could add more of value here today for you. But by the sounds your struggling for Set Numbers and individual unit numbers.
If you are then I do have all fleet list with all units classifications for the Class 800, 390, 395s, basically everything.

Let me know if you need that information. You can apply to these TOCs under the freedom of information act.
So fleet list to seating plans even livery drawings if that firm owns or has rights of access.

Not a problem. Let us now what set number it is. So 393 013 for example the set number, then I can get the individual unit numbers.

Yes your are perfectly in rights as the law has been laid out so the public can freely request information from any firm or government body.
If you do choose to contact them just be prepared that they can not always accept your request nor provide what you seek.
They will inform you of why this is the case in writing or email.

Make sure you do some research before you do contact any companies as I haven’t done it myself but I knew a close family member that has done.

Just a small update,
It seems Grand Central may be ordering some 5 car electric-diesel-battery hybrid trains from Hitachi. So, it seems I'm not yet finished with Grand Central

Hey, trying to catch up.

Ok, for the TfW livery I’m at a loss to what you are doing. If it’s the T logo then just use two circles, a letter T and then the two strip decals for the lines. Use less decals.

Is this what you’re trying to do. If not please correct me for as I say I am at a complete lose if it ain’t the T logo your doing.

I’m sure it will fantastic when it’s finished.

Hey Lee, I'm trying to make the welsh dragon as presented on the "Made in Wales" 197. It's just something I'm trialling at the moment. No problem. There isn't much to go off of yet so no worries

Just a small update from me. The "tilting train" I mentioned in one of my last posts is the 390. I have got most of it completed so expect some teasers in the week

 

Just had quick look at the Class 197 and they look quite aggressive in style, yet we don’t have the Class 197. Your working on the class 800 series, a more sleek streamlined look. So I am very intrigued in where your going with this one.

Don’t rush things, focus on the quality not the quantity
Trust me, try get it right the first time because it can be very costly to correct any errors or mistakes.

Would it be a bad time to say I’ve always wanted to do a mix up like the one your doing.
So if I could can I have a go to see what we both come up with. A little competition between two friends

I’m all for a little healthy competition if you are.
It can help one be more determined about work if they have a competitor.

Let me know because in the mean time you can take time on your livery BUT DONT SHARE. Again gives you time and me to do a rough outline of what I have always wanted to do so it won’t take me long to then share my ideas with you.

We can then post together to see we have done and how our creative mind works. I think it would be good to be honest.
So if you do then just ease off, give your self some time and PLEASE DO NOT SHARE YOUR LIVERY if we’re gonna have a little competition.

I don’t want to be a copy cat now.
Let us know if your up for it. If anything it gives you time with a little element of competition to push the creative envelope and skill set.

Trust me it works a little bit of competition. I placed a lot of competitive elements to how I went about my work.
If I felt I was lagging then I’d push by looking around and saying right I’m gonna do better.
Ie if my Number making wasn’t great then I’d push to make sure they was perfect. I’d also be doing numbers while taking on board decal count as we only had 300 decals until recently as you know.

An example of adding an element of competition:

This was one of the very first if not the first livery posted on to CC, it did have over 2000 subs but I lost all that when I deleted my full catalog.
Most of my work would be more popular but I had to start all over again because of my over reaction in my darker days.
I started uploading in 2019, yet that’s not the point here.

The point is I pushed to achieve a decent level of quality with what I had. 300 decals and I did with a few to spare.
Hence a weathered one could be done.

No one had done one upto that point so as I say placed some competitive elements to my approach with 5395.
So yes I do it myself place healthy competition to my work. Means I am constantly pushing myself and my abilities.

To be better at what we do, learn our craft.

Right I have just placed 08 200 (TSLP205) on CC, thank goodness.

And I’ll have to go in a min but if it’s on then it’s on. And sure you have a head start but that’s not a problem.
I have a challenge on my hands now, so I will be looking for my rockets

I’m coming for you lol.

So because I’m well stocked up on rockets I’ll let you set the end date for this little competition.

You see, take time. If in a race there can only be one winner. So you must get everything right by preparing.

Just messing around take all the time you need, but this is nearing completion as the 390 is a very easy model to work on.

How you spoil me I think this'll be a tight competition. I went for a similar theme, with some more "forward" thinking added to it. That's the only clue I'll be giving

 

If anyone guesses correctly, I'll let you name the next train I have in mind.

Heh, you know the odd mod here and there. Mostly timetable things like WCML by Fawx + Enhancement Pack, GWE modern timetable, etc... To be honest, I do prefer using mods on a PC than using the standard content that comes with consoles as it enhances the game more than any patch can do. Like better scenery, improved sounds, etc...

 

Let me know when your close to finishing and I'll post a teaser or two. I'm practically finished now so just give me a shout . No problem. I've been out for most of the day so no worries.

Hey thanks for these. Again I’ll have to be quick but if I was you treat each livery as a personal piece that you want to display in all its pride.
It’s why I have upload 37 501 as I want to make sure I present it right. Because you only get one shot when it comes to first appearances.
Yes I am running late which doesn’t look good, but I’d rather the work be right and presented right before I add on CC.

Photo work is just as important and it’s something I enjoy. Plus remember again about things working together if we want our work to be close to perfect. The livery and photos all help in getting that approval you want and from others.

Take your time, mistakes can be costly. Why make more work for your self when you can take time and be in control of the situation.
I’m not to sure if I can use the word sexy, but I what my work to look sexy and stylish.
That takes time and why I will be using time on this little competition we have going.

I have a few photos ready now if you want to see. Still in some testing stages but it’s there. 90 percent complete.
Just want to share it because I want to see what you have done.

I’m just busy now as kids are getting a bit rowdy and still trying get there rooms done.

No worries Sure can do. I've taken one on purpose as it doesn't show the full design. I altered the APT livery to make it more "forward", which you'll see. As a side note, the "forward" clue will only make sense to those who know Italian in particular.
