Hi all, Just to report I've, since yesterday, had an issue with TSW5 crashing to desktop. It seems to do this randomly and generate an Unreal Engine error report which I can submit. I tried removing mods methodically and seeing if one of these were at fault, but the crash kept recurring even after I thought I had found the culprit (ie: a given timetable on the London to Brighton route was tried on repeat - in my case 09.07 London to Reigate, whilst removing mods 1 at a time. The timetable started to work with a certain mod removed, then when tried again later, started to crash to desktop again). The crash occurs before you load into the train - ie: you get the loading screen for what I would describe as the 'normal' period of time, then crash to desktop before you load into the train. The crash also occurred a few times approaching East Croydon, on those occasions I was able to load the game. Usually this is with Bescot's scenery mod and trainsimcz's timetable, along with UK signals mod, God mode mod and lighting mods in place. All of these are updated to latest versions. Presently, the only fix I can find is to save a scenario that is working on the London to Brighton route, load into that save and then attempt to reload the scenario. This tends to work. I've verified the game integrity also. Any ideas on a more robust fix?
Have you tried removing all mods, so the game is vanilla.? Is the issue restricted to the one route.?
Hi there, So far it seems the issue is restricted to the London - Brighton route. It has been stable for 2 out of 3 timetables played today, but crashed on first load up (fixed by resuming the saved run) and then loading into the desired timetable. I had removed all but the god mode mod and visual enhancements mod (both not .pak files - in other words, all that was left in my DLC folder was the steam content). I still had a crash to desktop in this state.
