Got any updates on the progress of the class 40 and class 45?, and well fixes for class 47, that’s if you can share this information at the moment

 

Yes, hopefully we will have an update/patch very soon.

 

We will have an update for everybody soon with the results of our collation of feedback, what we've fixed so far, and what we expect to fix by the time the patch drops. Watch this space as I'll be posting more as soon as I am able.

Not any time soon in my experience.
Once something is released (irrespective of the state of it) it tends to be quite some time before a new patch comes out.

 

Right, once a dlc is released the bulk of its potential sales are realized in the very near term, whatever its condition.

So there's not much incentive or urgency to improve or correct routes or locos after launch from a revenue point of view.

This is why we have to wait so long for patches and why many improvements are done by one individual working in a tiny attic somewhere for little or no reward.

Meanwhile the developer has moved on to the next money- spinning project.

( I'm speaking generally here, small developers might be more amenable to fixing stuff.)

 

Although eventually that will come back to bite them in the posterior, as testified by my reluctance to buy anything else that Rivet make or might be involved with.

When you select the 47 in free roam it only give you the option to add the loco by itself and there’s no option with the MK1 coaches. I assume this will change in the next update because it’s a pretty basic part of how the other locos are on the sim I would say.

 

If you go into Formation designer, type in MK1 it should bring up several options for pre made MK1 options. Choose them and then stick that to your loco of choice then save it.

Pop into free roam choose the loco you saved the consist to then choose own creations, then the name of the formation you saved the 7 mk1's and Loco as and voila there you go. Complete Pain in the arse as you cant make your own formations whiich many of us want to do. Surely common sense would have told them that. But Hey ho.

 

Any updates on the progress of the class 45 and class 40 updates?

 

The 40 and 45 are just the old DTG models that have been added to the pack.
Pretty sure there was no talk of them needing to be "patched" in any way.

 

Athena said they were doing something to them.

 

I already knew they are apart of the pack, they also didn’t have access to them until very recently and they said they were making improvements to them at some point

Just wanted to update you all that our first patch is out, including the DSD fixes as part of the update cycle today.

There are other fixes and updates in the works. We already have quite a number of other items sorted. (There is a lead time from us submitting a patch, it getting tested and approved at DTG's end, so we are ahead of what you guys see as we have done quite a lot of further work since submission of what you see today).

We are really grateful for the support of everyone and pleased to have sorted the DSD which was number 1 priority,

I think that's a long term vision. I wouldn't expect to see anything announced for the 40 & 45 for a while (months).

 

Yeah they said in the FUTURE they MIGHT do something with them not that they had "access to them."
Not that anything was decided.

 

I believe that Athena are now 'custodians' of the 40 and 45, and plan to update them in due course.
