New Skyhook Games Sneak Peak/cargo Line Volume 3 Speculation

Just found this on Facebook by the look of it we might be getting Cargo line volume 3 intermodal but might just be me. However the scenery looks new so it might be a sneak peak for a new route as them showing these wagons doesn't imo really count as a sneak peak due to the fact from memory we already new they'll making more cargo lines and the way the video is it's more like a reveal but it's still good to speculate especially if it's the latter. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BZeZHF4hv/

I wonder if those containers are Livery Designer compatible? They look a little plain without any branding on: even plausible generic branding would be good.

 

A Freightliner loco wouldn’t work with these though, they’re DB/EWS wagons.

The content is the wagons and the gameplay, not the locomotive.

Forget about the loco, it's additional gameplay with new freight workings/mechanics.

I think you are. at this point deliberately trying to make an issue of something.

The Cargo Line packs introduce new freight workings/mechanics to the game.
There has never been talk of them bringing new locomotives to the pool.
Skyhook are working to bring new liveries/enhanced locomotive in the future, the DRS Class 20 being one.

 

I was just pointing out that it does come with a class 66 I could care a less that it comes with a class 66. I have about 10 different class 66s I only want it for the freight jobs.

 

DTG need to Change The loco and Train Part, That we have only one Train with Different Designs, and Not 10 Versions Available

 

That is something that irritates me, why every single pack's loco has been a seperately selectable option under the 66 livery options.

When I drive it, I just want to drive the most up to date model I can, with the most appropriate livery for the job, unfortunately, at this point there are so many to choose from, all with their own little letter code that I have no idea at this point if I'm picking a 'current' model 66 or one from TSW1.

Similarly, I would like an option to just pick a random 66, or random appropriate loco for a service, I enjoy that moment of started up and going, 'ooh I've got that livery!'. That option might already exist but I'm not aware of it.

DTG will not allow Skyhook to sell just a pack of wagons, it has to be a complete usable experience, thus it has to have a locomotive bundled in to the DLC.

 

So just seen this releases on 1st May priced at £9.99

 

I'll be slapping a tenner down for some of that action on may 1st......

ECML and WCML South only?

Well, that just saved me £20 as I don't own those routes on either my Steam or XBOX accounts.

You'd think Skyhook would add timetable services for more than 2 routes for these cargo packs, unless they really don't like making money.

 

I think services will be added to MML as well, at least that's what was in the blurb the other day.

 

Which in this case makes no sense because both East Coast Mainline and WCMLS include the Class 66.

 

I think i counted across both routes there was 6 or 7 scenarios and about 35 timetable jobs.

 

As I understand it, even if a Class 66 is already in a route (and for the majority of British routes, there's at least one, otherwise those routes would by default have no freight), the wagons themselves need to come with them.

Whether or not an individual route has one, any wagons released that it can haul need one as well.

 

Both are core routes for TSW4 and TSW5 its safe to say most players have one or both routes.

6 Scenarios, 33 Timetable services and brand new wagons seems a good deal to me.

 

If you are a new player, and have the TSW5 starter pack, you probably don't own ECML or WCML South... Players on Game Pass probably wouldn't own TSW4 or TSW5 base games either.

Most new players would start by buying older routes on sale, to see if they actually like the game first, before dropping £29.99 on the newer DLCs.

I only own TSW1, TSW2, TSW3 and TSW5 starter pack, and been playing since 2018.

 

The irony is the Training Centre which every player has includes a 66 in a fictional livery

 

So if I read this right. MML services will be added at a later date. Presumably with the next update for it.

 

MML is Skyhook's own route, so I'd say that's a safe bet.

 

I wonder how many of these will be night time runs .
