I’d pay for a V2 expansion if it meant we finally got Toton… still annoys me that the original model was almost complete and then locked out :(

would've been nice if skyhooks can make a new route... instead of these not really good cargo packs...

Personally for encouragement I would 100% pay for an extended route but I believe as a business a model skyhook may have to limit and consume as much time as possible in other areas. However I do encourage you to maybe look at this or take this feedback for future projects or development for possible future routes

    Disagree there...

The cargo packs have been a much welcomed edition to the game, they not only add better quality and realistic freight traffic for timetables, but they offer really nice AI on the appropriate routes. You can see a fair amount of work has gone into them too.

What more would you want from a freight wagon packs? (Not talking about locomotives either).

car carrier wagons would be a nice addition in the future..

I’m with some here though freighters are nice but adding the Toton yards which are on the MML would have been a nice addition and add to that immersion/realism considering these packs as provides a better start/finish point then just siding or station

eh, i dont have... much feeling for freight wagons unfortunately. I still think that a lot of it are just adding on to what you would see but cant drive. But even if so you're not driving the freight wagon and nearly every freight loco you drive to haul freight wagons is different, its still (somewhat) the same driving experience.
Idk, if they are in bundles or packs maybe they might be worth picking up cuz with every cargo line so far that has been put out, it is not worth the price for just a single wagon type.

I ended up going for a walk along a lot of the Lines that branched of the main drivable section and it is a shame that there is so much track laid in this DLC that is closed off and unused

Toton yards are there in track form and with all these freighter addons surprised it hasn't been included.. Chaddesden sidings is another that is there but doesn't show up on map, can this please be looked at as a start/finish point?

I bet the reason for Toton not being available at present is the lack of a Class 60. The yard iconically has about 30 Class 60s (in various states of disrepair) lined up along one side.

Although it wouldn't be too hard for them to add as static scenery rather than functional locos.

This is why, after a while, I stopped buying so many car packs for Run 8. Unless they are the ones you’re actually switching doing the industry jobs, the placeholders are either behind you when in cab view or momentarily glimpsed passing AI trains or stabled consists.

sounds nice, tho I just wish we had more playgrounds for HST... current around 30mins runs are nice, but it would be nice for those trains to stretch their legs some more :)

Get yourself WCML over Shap and spawn in an executive livery HST set from creators club into timetable mode, and get realistic AI. It’s 80 miles of HST driving on a Penzance to Aberdeen service in 1987

oh, so there are HST services included in the retro WCML route? like actual runs in official timetable, not just ECS or stuff like that? :)

Can't say I've ever seen any HST's on the WCMLoS route in game and I've spent hours on it at different times of the day!

I think he meant spawn the HST in so you can drive it whilst seeing the AI 87's etc.

At least Skyhook are adding to existing routes with these packs. They may only be minor and not add much, but its something at least.

Same thoughts honestly... (as in a route that comes with the HST and being able to give them a good run).
I still suggest York to Newcastle

Hats off to Adam LucaZone for being one of the very few to come into the forum and be bluntly honest about what is and isn't achievable and what is going on behinds the scenes. I feel like if DTG took this approach more (or at all since TSW5 came out) then there would be more of a positive and potentially understanding mood on the forums.

Skyhook have turned (and continue to do so) MML into a very pleasant route, after its somewhat disappointing initial release.

Problem is, any of those would have to be vintage, mostly BR Blue since GWE already exists. In the modern age the surviving 43s don't run high-speed main line services of any length.

IoW was first. IoW release date 15th October 2020. Arosalinie released 25th March 2021.
Both are Rivet routes and Rivet was the first 3rd party developer for TSW.

Anything with Newcastle-upon-Tyne gets my vote, but if you want a 125 mph thrash you can do that on GWML. If I may suggest an alternative, Newcastle - Edinburgh; it's a much more scenic, winding route with varying speed limits.

4 Updates I'd like for MML would be (sorry 1st 2 are a little off topic):
    • The "Test" text to be removed from the station signs at Sileby
    • Red lights adding to the top of the large tower at Ratcliffe On Soar power plant
    • A Class 150 Gamepack (paid) with a EMT branded 150 and timetable between Leicester and Nottingham / Nottingham and Derby. (correction the 153 based on the next post)
    • A Class 170 Gamepack (paid) with a CX branded 170 and timetable between Nottingham and Derby.

EMT never used 150s, they had 153s,156s and 158s.

But a 150 set with a variety of liveries would be brilliant.

A 222 would make the world of difference on this route. Whether it be Skyhook, DTG or another party that takes it on. Justify it by making a separate Sheffield to Derby route?

Skyhook already considered producing a class 222 but stated that train packs alone generate only a small income vs the large cost of producing a new train, and that the 222 would be limited to only the one route, which would also constrain them to short services. They would potentially re-consider if further routes were released that also see the 222 operate timetable services.

I want to say I love the communication Luca has given us and the transparency which many developers don't give us ever! So this is been great, Fully respect Luca giving us the truth on an Extension.
I want to say I disappointed as it is a very highly requested addition to MML and would add so much more immersion and a great HST experience! You know people will buy it with the amount it has been requested. I know Skyhook are concentrating on the packs but just saying MML deserves an extension. My opinion end of the day but thanks again Luca!

They won’t extend it, 2.0’ it or anything like that when they can’t even add actual ‘new’ services in to their original product in an ‘update’ from their own add-on.

3 formerly ai services that are now playable.. may as well leave them out. It’s usually triple that amount, and that would be actual ‘new’ services between Syston and Leicester - not the ones all ready in. How can you miss such a huge opportunity on your own route with your own add on??

    Absolutely agree with you Shredder.
As you said 'How can you miss such a huge opportunity on your route with your own add on??'
    Spot on right there mate.
IMO, It is all good releasing all these freight packs and everything. Yes it is great adds great traffic but not everyone wants to do freight all the time. We want Longer HST Runs as we have the community been saying.

What it said was six new scenarios. and "a plethora" of timetable services, with two journey mode chapters..

So a completely separate dlc such as Sheffield Derby could bring about a 222. Make it an extension of sorts by matching up the timetables and adding the route hop feature on the Derby Leicester section.

That would be across the WCML and ECML, with an extra 3 formerly ai services now playable on MML, which is what this thread is here for. I can understand the issues they might have with other developers’ routes and the timetable simulations there, but not on their own route, that they’ve already shown with the first two Cargo Line packs, what can be achieved with the actual ‘new’ services added in. Missing out the Syston to Leicester Intermodal flows with an Intermodal Cargo Pack, on the route they have complete control over, is such an own goal.

So, for £10 I get 3 short new services to drive and a new train of wagons which to the untrained/casual observer look identical to what we already have?
    Hmmm, that's a real dilemma... :| :-p

They could develop another route, but as it stands they have said that their current team is not setup towards producing routes for TSW. It is clear that Adam and the team at SH have produced quality content recently. I'm sure that Adam will be the first to engage with the community if things change. I for one would love Skyhook to develop another route.
