Man you have been busy, so sorry if I have been a little hard on you recently.
Things are moving so fast.

Anyway I did sub to your works this morning, not been on the game yet. Been trying get set up for my next big task at home.

So just want to say I love the Mersey Rail one, and the others look great to. You not thought of adding any murals of Welsh Castles on the side of the TfW livery’s. I would

I have some tips. Including a basic.

FILL THEM SPACES. GIVE THEM DECALS A LITTLE TWIST. BUT REMEMBER THE LONGER THE DECAL THE MORE TILT OR SLANT YOU WILL GET.

AND IF YOU DO TWIST BUT FORGET YOU HAVE THEN ANY COPIES MADE FROM THE TWISTED DECAL WILL ALSO BE TWISTED.
SO ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK THAT YOU RESET (Edit) THE ROTATIONAL SETTINGS AFTER FILLING GAPS.
You don’t want your work to not line up. Nor look amateurish by leaving spaces not infilled by the decal properly.
I looked over your 390 016. And I know you try very hard at what you do.

But the tip I mention is a quick and simple one that will make your work look more professional and clean.

Some early feedback there then.
Good work but you can do better. Quality over Quantity remember.
And if you want save on mistakes then getting it right or near perfect the first should save a lot of time later on.
Trust me I am still trying to put right old work that is a 4 year old problem.
Again no one’s perfect and thus all make mistakes.

Lee, you haven't been hard on me. As I explained in the message I sent you the other day. You've been encouraging, but not even close to being pressurising/trying to make it harder. Quite the opposite actually. You've been checking in when we haven't had meetings to see how I am and how my other projects are going, giving me support/help if I'm struggling. So no, you aren't being hard on me

I'm glad you like it I've never been on a 777 myself, but I've seen them in person. I might try the 507/8 next as I have been on those on numerous occasions. But I tried using the 313 the other day and it's a bit of a pain trying to work with the front. But I'll get there eventually. Which reminds me, if there's anything you want to see me do in particular Lee, just give me a shout. I owe it to you for all your help. Same goes for TG08, although I know he creates liveries as well

The class you mention then I’d need look them up, last Train I went on was a Trans Pennine express or a Sprinter Class 158s.
I loved them, from a design point of view they felt so comfortable and even had like a carpet on the walls if my memory serves me correctly.
Before that it was Class 101s from Warrington Bank Quay to Rhyl for Holidays in the 80s and 90s.

At night from wink ups camp you would here the heavy sound of the Diesel, 40s and 37s looking back. So beautiful and the Turbos, but as child didn’t have a clue. They was like ghosts passing through the night as I tried to sleep.
I will never forget them, and as someone that hates change and see things be taken away. Then now I see what happened to most of those ghosts of the night they are now just ghosts of the past.

No sound, just peace.

So yes I need to do a lot of home work as I live in the past.

And hey thank you I’m sure you doing a similar thing as mentioned about the 390s. As man you owe me nothing.
If anything I owe you for supporting the project and adding to it. More importantly you speak about important things not waffles like me.
As I say you engage with the community be with your own work or for the Project.

So I appreciate the offer but man you owe me nothing, if you do a theme like the 390s as it was you that allowed the competition to take place. Yes I had the same design with the BR logo, hence why I said it would work but I owe it to you for the AWC APT idea.

You came up with the mix up even tho I had similar ideas. It you that gave me the inspiration and so I owe you credit in which you will get when the livery is done. I’d love to see your idea next to mine as you again gave me the inspiration.

So if you want to do something for me, continue your idea so we can present together because I feel it’s fair.

TG08 I’m sure will ask for loads of liveries, he’s a scenario planner. So he eats liveries up like PAC MAN. Lol

Good afternoon everyone,
I have an announcement to make. I've recently been making liveries based on trains in the North West/North Wales regions. So, I've decided to create a TFW themed Castle set, similar to those used by GWR in the style of "what if". I have made some progress on it, but I'll post some WIP photos later on.

If anyone has any suggestions on names or even future liveries, then please do comment below. I'll try get back to you all as soon as possible.

I have a little amount of knowledge about Castle Class or GWR Class 4073.
But can’t remember of the top of my head. So when I get chance I’ll try help with this.

Why?, Well (Edit) you have touched upon what I wanted you to do basically. I theme to celebrate famous locos and people that contributed in its development. So the Big four is a place full of great people and historic inspiration.

And when I get time work thought as many as I can such as LMS and stay away from LNER for a bit.
So yes your kinda going down the route I was hoping for with the freedom I gave you
I just wasn’t be really direct with you as not to put you under any obligation or pressure.

You have stumbled onto that idea and so again when I get time I’ll support you on this one and if I can be more direct in what I’d like you to work on for Rail 200 Project. TG08 has acted and so the show is still on.

Meaning I will be supporting TG08 get liveries in and hopefully we can add something worthy of a place.
Like the 390s I have on hold waiting for historical facts etc then I can’t really progress with them so it’s holding my work process up in order to focus on say DMUs etc.

Basically we need to get quality goods to market but that can take time and thus slow TG08 progress down.
I feel we both need to pick it up on the quality and the core theme of historical significance.

So a GWR theme has loads of potential, and so I suggest that you may want to stick with this one and make it something special.
I feel it would be a missed opportunity considering the amount of information available on the company. Be past or present.

Beat ya to it Mr Competition lol. Done these some time back on TSW2 and TSW3. All my Class 47s need a update really. But that’s around 20 odd units.

Sure. I'll pop some below for you. I was going to do the Arriva branding, but I saw that it wasn't as common on the 67s during their time with ATW.

 

Yeah. I logged it on DTG Support and it's been logged. Hopefully it is resolved soon

 

Hehe, guess I'm one step ahead in that regard But wow, yours look great. I like the nameplate you did on the side for "county of Essex". I used BPO's 47 that JT made. It was just a test for other designs I have in mind

 

In case anyone has any suggestions for liveries I could do next, here is my DLC list for potential liveries

 

Oh yes silly me I know now. I can see the line as I am close by to Flint Station, so yes I know what you mean now. I can’t recall seeing many 67s in ATW. Wasn’t they rebranded into the grey and red of TfW when ATW lost the franchise. I’m proper bad at following all that information you see. Again I try take it all onboard but won’t go in

So probably end up asking silly questions making me look ignorant, not interested in Rail. I am but just stuck in the 90s lol.

It's fine. Yeah they did I think. Similar to what they did with some of the 175s at the time. I think the 175s were done at Chester DMU depot, but not sure on the 67s. Cardiff Canton maybe? TG08 may know, but I may need to do some research in case I do a 57. Hmmmm a Class 57. I wonder what I could do with that

 

Oh no, see hearing this make me feel sick inside. It puts me off doing work so much and I’m sorry that you have to deal with this.
I was wondering why you was a little quiet.

Can you not email the TOC in question and see if they can assist or allow you to use a brand?. Get permission if that is the issue.
Again I brought this subject up with TG08 about getting permission from TOCs because they don’t get back or don’t understand.
Only TfW has and did in such an easy polite manner. I couldn’t fault TfW but the others I can’t speak so highly of.

So yes what do we do if we try get permission but companies don’t care to help those that may not fully understand how it all works.
Are they being discriminatory being not having something in place for those like ourselves (I won’t say to much publicly but you get my drift;j) that find it hard and at time overwhelming or stressful.

Firms put in wheel chair access but where is the system or departments to help fans of a company or fans like us the community like what me you and TG08 are doing. I explained my personal situation but get treated like a idiot.
Meaning I feel these companies don’t understand and thus I feel it’s discriminatory they don’t take issues seriously.

Speaking from personal experience then how I’ve been treated in the past here made me ill.
Try be part of something but feel like you get mocked or laughed to one side.
It’s not right and I’m going on a little here.

Put yes if some of these companies understood how hard it is for some of the members here then again is this because of not caring enough for those with Mental Health issues. I know I do, everyday is a struggle. But why hide when it’s about making overs aware so change can happen. I believe Freddie Flintoff is an advocate for raising awareness of mental illness.

You know I’ve struggled all my life as I’m sure we all have but we’re all different people and things effect people differently.
It’s hard for all but what makes life harder is from the lack of understanding that the way a company treats people or it’s community members would certainly improve if they did care.

I know how stressful it maybe for you so i will try DM when I can. I just clear these before I get into anything deep

I may need to ask TG08 for proof just so I can show them how it isn't working. It's not that I don't believe him, but if they do log it, and they need the proof as stated in the info, it could help.

 

Hey again we all need to catch up so we can talk more about what work to do.
In regards to R200 Project that is

TG08 has acted like I say so it’s still on meaning we will have work to do for R200.
Even me I can’t sway away from the main objective, even if it means giving up on my own side of work.
The Project is still on going and so I need to get this project back on track and in a more focused productive manner.

Ie if I feel it’s stalling then everything TG08 has done will be for nothing. Supporting him and Our Project is more important I feel.
And why I am being slightly direct here.

We can’t mess around now, me included, as I say TG08 has and is still doing his part. We need to do the same mate.
Focus on the Job in hand. Or it will be all for nothing and will mean we have failed.

We can’t be a failure now can we. Especially in a public forum where a majority of eyes are looking.
I’d like all of us to walk away after this is over with our heads held high with a sense of pride and achievement, not one of failure or of public embarrassment.

Not on my watch. (Sorry been wanting to say that for ages lol).

So yes your own work I have no say over, but for R200 I feel you and I need to get our skates on.
I will be making small sacrifices too, because too much means less of something else.
Yet less means more. The less we put pressure on ourselves the more time we get back.

The balancing act my friend. 50/50, not 60/40. That imbalance and a way to life a unstable life.
I learned that from recent events
Ie putting more weight on the being here side of the scales then the being a adult with responsibilities side of them.
Which resulted in a major wobble, or sudden outburst.

Find Balance on the scales of life, means we will find harmony and happiness.
Plus as a bonus of that we are more productive when happy then sad or depressed.

So have fun and be happy.

He’s just a standard email. Basically it will get filed. (Ignored).

Unless is a massive problem that stops the wider user base accessing or playing a route without major crashes all the time then no, I doubt this will be acted on. If you provide information then that’s you with a real concern and so will then probably look at it.

I don’t know how they log reports in order to pick up on a specific issue for it to be classified as a major concern for DTG users.
Why i say about I am sure people have complained about defects with models etc but what gets done?.

How come one person having a problem is ignored yet find out it effects 4 people I know.

So yes it all depends on the nature of your complaint I guess and how much it effect game play.
If it’s small bug like on the one I have a with a product (The Class 66 pack) I bought from a publisher and developed not take any responsibility with the work it’s 3rd party partners are passing on to DTG customers is quite appalling.

It’s like a popular pie manufacturer not caring about the meat quality from it suppliers.
So why if anyone has a small issue with a product not have it looked into immediately.
For again a company should always check on its suppliers and that it’s producing the appropriate quality products that firm wants for it customers.

Here again tho if this is not a concern that we DTG customers are receiving poor quality products that they take no responsibility for then who does take responsibility?.

So if that’s the case am I right in saying DTG doesn’t care by not checking in on it suppliers?.
Hey we have noticed a prop in quality and could you fix and pick it back up.
Not left with no one taking ownership of the problems.

That’s totally irresponsible for any company or business to not have quality control over their products or suppliers.
I can’t believe what I am writing if that’s basically what that email says.

See hard mate, companies make life hard. Saves them money ya see. And why we have to keep going on and on before anything gets done.

Wait until you buy a car and a House. It gets worse my friend, so best get some training in early dealing with this one.
They said they will investigate to be fair if you provide more information, again if your really that concerned you will keep on at them.
If not you give in hence saving them time and money investigating your case.

Just get back on to them that’s all I can suggest.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. A lot is going on on my end at the moment.
I may try emailing LNR as they are my local operator. It would be great to get the cover. I'll wait for now though as they did pull the licence from DTG. I'm annoyed by it, but I just hope it isn't something more serious like interference.

Wow no wonder you took a break. Stress really isn't good on your health. I also happen to know that from experience. I'll tell you about that at a later time.

 

I've kind of been using Chester as my connection point for some of my liveries. Like with Merseyrail for Wirral line services, Avanti Class 221 for NWCL services for Holyhead, Wrexham and south to Crewe and Euston, and TFW for NWCL and Liverpool Lime Street services.

 

I may just see what happens. I'll leave it for a week and just see.

 

Hello no worries mate, I understand. Again if we’re both a little tight on time then having a deep conversation may best for a later time.
So quickly I will just say this on the LNR topic,I will look more into the franchise as this could be the reason why DTG didn’t get the licence.
Did DTG make an announcement as to why? I’m not sure they did you see.

But that aside I know others have done this livery yet only because you see others doing doesn’t mean you have the rights too.
They may have gained the permission in writing, they may be a loop hole or something we’re not aware of in order to be the work on CC.
All I can say it that it would be a damed sight easier if someone could fully explain in layman terms.

It’s again why I mentioned to TG08 about opening some kinds of thread for Branding questions or licensing issues.
I could definitely use the vast information some must have on here, even the site staff helping out or supporting the thread.
If so you could probably get your answer sooner and would be less ticket raised unrelated to system operations.

Why hold up proper ticket concerns with a basic query that could be answered on a thread.
I found a thread yesterday about the Glasgow livery extension pack. So I’d have a look around and see if there is already a thread set up for basic queries on branding and how the system works. Ie blocking or removing work.

Anyway don’t worry about getting back to me it’s just some information for you.
Or a different solution to your situation like I have with my class 66. I found a thread dedicated to that DLC and if that fails will probably have to raise a ticket. I don’t like doing that tho, why because part of my old job was dealing with customer complaints.

And I will say this, over time you have no empathy for those that don’t try and just expect to get something for free.
Money back off a holiday just because a Hotel used brown toast and not white. How is that a reason to complain and demand money back.
Something things was unnecessary yet they all came in and all added to my work load.
Meaning I had no time for the silly complaints.

They didn’t warrant my attention where as someone falling from a coach step would.
So yes I don’t raise tickets for that reason if one can understand or find a solution if one can be found.
A company cannot be responsible for every single thought or question or complaint a person has.

It’s called common sense something I found a lot of those that complained had non off.
And sorry that could be taken the wrong way but please you see what I am saying.

Try all other avenues before going to the big man. It’s s sign if innovate thinking.

No I don't think DTG did. All they announced was that it had been pulled. I assume it was because of the leaks. I was going to hold off buying WCML, but as it's my local route, I wanted to use it for educational purposes for future opportunities career wise.

No no it's fine. TG08 posted a comment a few mins ago saying this issue has been resolved which is great

 

Indeed they have my master lol. Mate I will always hold my hand up if I don’t know something. I won’t pretend like I do.
So yes I don’t know anything about these places of operation never mind in say London and its many lines.
You do know and so will listen and try learn from those that know more than me.
