Just a short one from me, the recent road map has mentioned that consoles are now getting less in terms of timetable for some routes, because of this it's only fair that there should be the ability to move our collection from console to other platforms as they are very expensive to rebuy and also we shouldn't have to rebuy them they should be connected to our accounts.

Not at all possible, and never will be. Any add ons you buy are tied to the account of the platform you're on.

Besides, no other game (that I'm aware of) does this.

Some games attached it to the profile instead of the account, like in context of the tsw game it would be attached to the dovetail live account instead of the device account. Its not done as frequently with simulator games but certainly can be done, but they would be unable to backtrack to previous addons I beleive.

With all the platforms competing against each other and being a business after all, it would not happen. Plus the code, hardware and software are completely different

If you bought a Xbox... Happy fun times, your content will be available on the pc. If you bought a playstation, Well... hard luck! Sony are blue meanies.

Yeah, this'll never happen. Steam aren't gonna allow you a free product just because you had it on PlayStation, or vice versa.

The closest thing that'll ever happen to this already does in that buying tsw or tsw add ons through the Microsoft store allows you to access on PC and xbox

Also, if your PC/Steam and PS5 accounts are registered to Dovetail Live with the same email address, even if your player name is different playing on either platform counts towards any mastery objectives you’re going for.

But nice though it would be, DTG are never going to entertain the OP idea. Best thing to do is simply wait until the add ons you want on your secondary platform (in my case PS5) are on a deep sale and grab then.

Unfortunately, in the case of games which do this, they are online-only ones, mandating an account with the publisher to play, in which the DLC is purchased ingame and with a premium virtual currency the game's publisher sells on all platforms which is sold on each platform but spent independently with the publisher directly, who then honours that purchase to bind additional content to the player's cross-platform account whichever platform they log in from. Because this system places the burden of keeping track of ownership entitlements and maintaining the security of the licence checking system on the publisher's servers directly, in addition to removing the capacity for offline play, it would also incur an extra cost on the part of the publisher to maintain the game's account servers.

Notably also, the games which offer this are ones with a single core install on each platform, where ALL of the game's DLC is included within the base install for the game, they are not individual distinct downloads which necessitate an individual purchase via that platform's store. This was the issue which actually forced DTG to develop the addon manager, due to how Sony's console is built around an assumption of this model of packaging your client as a single download, in Sony's case with small "unlocker" files you purchase via the store, rather than having large DLC expansions as individual large downloads. This is obviously impractical for TSW as it would make the game large enough to completely fill the basic drive included in some models of XBox or Playstation.
