I would really like if new countries were added for TS2020, because German, Great Brittain and USA I see the most. But there are more countries in Europe and the world, like Italy (recommend), Spain/Portugal (Spain tracks are more wide), Greek. But also look for Scandinavia (Norway is most recommend). Norway: Italy: Spain (RENFE):
Although this site is rather old you'll find some links to 3rd party sites for countries you have mentioned. http://railworks.banal.net/catalog/catalog.html Italy here. http://www.amicitreni.org/download/index.php?ENGINEsessID=0d0b0a4e1fe022a7573417e2d566ab1f Sweden. http://www.klemund.de/RailSimulator/downloads-title.html
Spain is a great suggestion. I've been to the northern part of it and the scenery is spectacular. Rolling hills and quaint towns are everywhere! Maybe DTG could make the Cercanías Bilbao C-3 commuter line from Bilbao-Abando to Orduña. That line goes right through the rolling hills that I mentioned earlier. Besides Spain, Russia would be pretty cool too.
Try here for Spanish content. http://www.trensim.com/lib/rs/ Czech. http://www.trensim.com/lib/rs/ Sweden. http://www.banbyggarna.se/Railworks/lok.html Russia. http://railworks.banal.net/catalog/pages/Russia-Diesel.html The Russian diesel in that link is really first rate.
Russia, more Canada, France, definitely more stuff in Europe (Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, etc.), Scandinavia, more Asian content, and India.
How about Mexico? I dont know much about their routes over there, but seeing something like Ferromex, N de M, or KCS de Mexico would be nice.
Love that Baldwin Centipede. UP was actually planning on purchasing a few of the beasts, but decided to cancel the order. The engine on a Mexican railway could be a cool addition.
Ooops! I should have czeched. Here is the site for Czech content. Some of the locos are top notch. https://pikku.msts.cz/railsim.html
It is the money that decides what routes they do. They think they earn most money on german and British and Us routes. and it may be so at the present time. When ( or If ) the editor comes we can do them yourself
The issue that I forsee with any Mexico route is getting the terrain data. I think it would be awesome to see these Mexican railroads represented.
