Hi everyone, ive just been thinking since the game can’t be turnt into a multiplayer game to all play together would it be possible in the near future to possibly increase the AI trains while we are playing on routes because it’s actually quite lonely being the only train on the tracks and not seeing any live action on all the routes it would be amazing to see DTG increase all the AI trains on all the routes so it’s a bit more exciting.
So you see there is this thing called Timetable Mode. You click onto it and you choose the train, you will then be able to pick a service and from there you will be able to see other trains doing other services at the same time as you. Or choose a busier route.
You see where under "Choose a route" it says "Cane Creek"? Well, if you go to the store, there are other routes you can buy, and they will show up in there too, and they have exactly what you're asking for.
All routes are based in real timetables. Sometimes you'll never meet a train at all, other times maybe only one or two. Not every route is jam packed, nor should they be. Various factors such as the route, the length of the service you're driving and the time you drive it, as well as the era the route is set all influence what you'll see. Some routes in reality are just that quiet. Some routes require other DLCs as well. Even then some of those only provide substitutions rather than adding services.
look, if you go to timetable mode you can choose "explore on foot"then AI trains are also driving around but if you choose "free roam"no AI trains will spawn.
The important question, I guess, is what route have you experienced this on? The London Commuter Route and the Boston routes should have lots of traffic, with the Isle of Wight and Niddertalbahn routes having much less.
