With the news that Greater Anglia is to go back into public ownership in October I wonder (hope) that we’ll see the Flirt and possibly the official branding in TSW sometime.

The GA staff I've spoken too are suggesting there's no hurry to do a complete rebrand at the moment Greater Anglia are well regarded in these parts for very reliable service. The changes will be minimal, GA have already started adding a white BR arrows symbol in a red circle in their advertising, the only big change will be to the board of directors.

Thanks. My logic is that DTG seem to have a good relationship with the State owned operators.

Yes, it's a bit of a shame that Greater Anglia, and c2c for that matter, are among the first to go into public ownership, they are among the best-performing operators around and are regularly at the top of the table with some of the fewest delays and cancellations. I sincerely hope they continue that success into the new era!

Probably chosen because of that, then the government can gloat about how good the state owned operators are.

I thought they were/are the first to be re-nationalised due to the franchising agreements being the first to expire?
