Liveries Waffles And Jam. Open Project.

Okay, I am opening this thread up to help lift my moods. Anyone that knows me is aware I say to much and so worries too.
I also waffle as some of you will know and something I am shamelessly have to admit too

So let’s have some fun with the word Waffle and Jam.
I have set Waffles and Jam as a fun joke fictional livery for all to participate in if you the community so wish.
You could even drop by for a waffle or two.

The basic theme is fun, so have some fun with this little project. Yet it does serve a serious purpose tho and in time all will be revealed. So a quick hint, it’s to do with issues of men not talking.
Hence the little company Waffles and Jam.

As I say tho can’t say anything else on that side yet.

So yes it’s a little place to be a big kid and have fun Gents.

I understand the whole 'tasty surprise' now. Waffles and Jam.

Still not quite sure what this is, but I'll wait for the further explanatory announcements before asking my questions.

And, I have been on a Voyager today and am due to go on another soon, so my reading comprehension level may be low once again. I practically live on those trains these days!

 

I have a feeling this thread may have been made to also help community members who may need to talk, but can't the opportunity to do so, whilst also enjoying themselves making liveries or scenarios.

Oh nice. Despite the controversial view, I don't mind the voyagers to an extent. The Virgin Trains West Coast ones were great I feel. There was enough capacity meaning that overcrowding barely happened. The seats were fairly comfortable for an hour and a half's journey. However, AWC and XC seem to have made short formations making them unbearable. I say good luck to you with your journey on XC

I'm good thanks. I'm still about angry about the mistake I made with the art graphics, but I'm happy otherwise. I've been trying out Cardiff today. The lack of platform connections bugs me to no end, especially as it gives you a teleport option. But it's nice to be driving and riding on the TFW 150 and 153 again. All I'm waiting for now is the 197 and 221 to enter the game for the North Wales Coast.

Oh the Voyagers are great! I love them! But I have underestimated how fatiguing train travel in general can be at Rigsby's expense, so I'll have to revisit this thread at another time to make sure I have fully understood the whole story before saying anything.

Phew I'm glad someone does. The only reason I didn't like the Avanti ones was because when they were used on the NWC, they were often 5 carriages as far as Holyhead all the way to Euston, which was a nightmare when getting on at Chester. And even then that's when it wasn't cancelled. But I digress.

I now understand waffle to be the verb, not the noun. It is a play on words. Very good.

So the primary purpose of this thread is to talk (the waffle) with a side of livery-creating (the jam) that will be explained in due course. I imagine the livery is to help get conversations flowing.

Makes sense. I missed the waffle pun on the trains yesterday - another example of the fatigue from train travel.

I look forward to seeing what you make! Your liveries are always stellar.

I understand now. Talking - the biggest relief of stress, especially when someone listens.

I'm happy to chat about Voyagers, not really sure where to start, though. I've always been taught about the dangers of the internet, which is why I haven't specified which Voyagers I took and where they took me. It's also why I picked the broad name - Voyagers - rather than something more specific.

I don't have the route. What is this 'lack of platform connections'? Is it that the bridges and underpasses that allow you to switch between platforms 1 and 2 aren't there?

Holyhead to Euston with 5-cars - I can only imagine how crowded that would be!

Not at all. The way I see it, the longer I wait for a response, the better, since it means you've found something good to occupy yourself with. It's how I view all my friends. If they give responses to my texts, then they are less busy with their work or videogames or YouTube and it is now my responsibility to keep them entertained. I haven't actually tested this theory, but I like to think of it that way.

Thank you. I think it's an important topic as there is a given standard for men in society so I feel this will help in more ways than one. Which brings me on to a surprise livery I have planned for Rigsby's company HookHaul. It will be under this theme, but with a few extra details. I'll make a small announcement when I've made a start on it and have a clear idea of what to do.

Ah yes just that. For some of the stations on Cardiff you can't actually walk between platforms (no underpasses/overbridges can be used) which I find really annoying. Even Platform 0 at Cardiff Central which can be accessed by the main entrance isn't accessible and can only be accessed via a teleport option.

Yeah the service was quite poor. I'm not sure whether it's been improved since the Evero's have been introduced as I haven't used the service for a year now. But it was awful. I had to stand in the gangways with my massive suitcase every time I used it. Surprisingly, the Chester to Crewe shuttle had better capacity and that had three cars, not five.

 

I see. Is that prototypical? I know some stations require you to leave the station to change platforms so is this simply not simulated in the game?

Actually, most of my journeys are spent standing up next to the door with my suitcase. I like it. You get to meet so many people on the train. I once witnessed an exchange of Instagram profiles between a dog owner and a dog photographer. Then they spoke about how good illegal drugs were. That part was less enjoyable.

 

I don't believe so. I think it's permanent which is a shame you can see the stairs going below some of the stations, but you can't walk down them. All you can do is teleport to the other platform at stations like this.

Yeah I've never really travelled for leisure on a voyager so I guess it was more stressful for me. I'm not sure whether your journey is for leisure or for business, but I think it wouldn't be as bad for leisure as you wouldn't need to be somewhere for a set time. Oh dear. I can imagine. Still at least you got to ride the train though I suppose.

 

Oh I see. I thought the teleport option was just Fast Travel, but you meant they created a specific teleport option because they didn't want to model the crossings. Understood. That is a shame.

I'll be honest, I don't know whether its for leisure or business either, but I always leave far too much contingency time for delays and such. Yesterday I didn't have a suitcase and the journeys were quieter so it was nice sitting on the seats!

And it is true. I think part of the reason I like the Voyagers that I'm on is that they're being replaced very soon indeed. I can't wait for the new trains to replace them, though!

I run on, well adrenaline I don’t know, I’m always pumped up when there is a Job to do.

But now she’s gone, I have nothing left. Yet just about one last burst I think.

And guys sound like you both having a nightmare of time today.
Maybe I might win the lottery one day, buy myself a seat in power so I too can pull the strings on those that waste the most valuable thing we have.

Time. And the time we spend in conditions (Environment) that can become stressful to the body.
Being treated like cattle.

So the only advice I would give is escape it all, even if it’s for five minutes.
Recuperating the body and mind. Don’t think about the mess if it all look at all the advantages of what could be improved.
It’s how ideas are born by thinking positively in a bad environment. Cope under pressure, less stress.

In low power mode that’s all my brain can deliver at the moment.
Put think about it.
You can add stress by thinking negatively in a stressful situation.
Or you can think differently or positively by reducing stress in enabling one to be calmer more relaxed.
Relax the mind relax the body.

Mind over matter.

Yes that is very true. I pushed myself too much with people who generally despised me. I will explain this to you in private when we have that chat as I say. That is a very good point. In saying that though, I don't think the voyagers will get replaced for a few more years. At least the one with XC. The ones GC hired might move to XC with the rest of the 10 ex AWC voyagers which were sent to XC. Heh, at least you can do some trainspotting in between Might be something for you to try out on CC on the 801 maybe? Wink wink, nudge nudge lol

Yeah it's annoying. You can't even go onto the concourse at Cardiff Central which is annoying. I would have liked to see all the departure boards and the like for the immersion

I’m here to say I’m worn out, not well. I can get very emotional when in this state of mind.
So I know a lot has been going on and wish I could be with you all.

This isn’t a place just for me tho. I’m so glad to see two members getting on like a house of fire.
My moods are lifted by seeing this, because this a place for a chat, or even lets others know how they feel that’s all.

I chuckled to myself seeing after all that happened playing this game and what LNER failed to act on.
It’s would led to my fall and why I was sent for more test, and why only after 40 odd years found out I could have many mental health issues.
The Fact DTG never even said thanks for me making this.
Actions can have devastating and long lasting consequences on people.

So doing what I am now I had no intentions, I’m action on emotions because what happened wounded me deeply.
I could never move on because I never got any answers.

I’m I bitter, no I learned a lot about those people. And so find it quite funny to see a post or announcement about CALM and the word I don’t like. Because if I’m being the most I’ve ever been, the IT, that word was my only way out.

Yet I felt I could fight back, I asked for Gods help. I begged.
Is he the power the one that I feel is in me. I did ask for help.

And things did change. I’m not religious tho, so why help me.

I don’t know and as I write I feel this is to emotionally open. But it’s true.
And because of that and how my emotions affect the way I express then I think I best go.
I’m a deep Guy lads. So why I best stay away for a day or two.

If weak then that’s when a force or a foe can be an act of good or an act of evil.
You see I found the stronger I got the more evil came my way.

Why I walked and not returned to that GWE thread. A bad energy, I felt it.

So yes, way more than what I wanted to say, only meant to say the first part but you see how I go.
Yet seeing that announcement about CALM as I say hit me in some way. The irony of it all.

Fate?. Or others making up for their mistakes, I can’t fully answer as to a reason why.

I hey sorry to bum in, but would I be right in saying if departure boards are there in real life in DLC time relation then they should be there.
And if not, then why aren’t they there?, do you see any logic or reasoning to not adding them?.

Glad you're feeling better Yeah it's surprising really. I haven't really spoken to Aeronautics much so it's nice I guess to talk to other people I may not have spoken to before.

Hey it's fine Yes I believe they should. Take Milton Keynes Central for example. In real life, there are departure boards just outside the over bridge for the platforms connecting up to the concourse. DTG didn't add these which is annoying as it's a station I use a lot. I think it damages immersion as when you know something as obvious as departure boards should be there, and they aren't, it's really annoying. The only logic I can see is corner cutting because the concourse wasn't accessible before the main WCML update in December. I'll share some pictures in a sec of what I mean.

My participation is low due to workload, just in case anyone was wondering.

I find music to be quite good indeed if you find the right one. What is your opinion on the Train Sim World menu music? Which one of the three do you like most?

Indeed! If it weren't for Railway 200 and Rigsby's organisation, I would have never really met you all. I've never really been one for Creator's Club, so seldom visited this subforum. After joining R200, I visit the Creator's Club subforum almost daily!

Despite this, I still don't care much for liveries - I much prefer driving trains than painting them and I probably wouldn't care much if any of mine get taken down - but it has been great seeing everyone's creations while I've been here.

Right. Back to work. Motivation is low but so is time so we press on.

Well it should be there then. I’ve said this before.
If a car has wheels then a company will sell that car as complete.
So why do games companies send a game out if it’s not complete.

Hence if DTG rushed this game for sales or marketing reasons then why if a product isn’t fully developed.
Customers will get upset, especially if like you say it’s ruins the immersion of the game because the stations is your regular point of travel.

It’s like some has decide that if access was limited or even some legal restrictions then where is the work around.
If complete blank then that’s taken no care about the situation and what the end product would look like.

Is this an issue of missing station signs that if left all combine to make small is becoming a problem.
A problem of DLCs left behind unfinished?.
Who buys unfinished products.

I wouldn’t buy a car from a show room with no wheels on it expecting an update for wheels a year later.
For why in the world of games and consumer rights should any on line purchases fall outside those rules that apply to other industries.

So yes I can understand your frustrations mate.

Hey we can’t get in the way of a Travel Blogger Me assuming obviously.

Oh music I love all styles of music me, variety is the spice of life they say. I’ve always loved music tho, wanted to make film scores.
I find Thoma Bergersens work along the lines of what my music would be like.
A Tergo Lupi is really good to listen to. Not all tracks tho, just the proper chilled stuff like a song of theirs Heal the Tree.
The haunting sounds give me to strength it hurts, the song is so beautiful.

So if I was to say which music then it’s definitely TSW5, even tho I must admit I turn all music of.
Bang some deep work focus music on. I like Deep Chill or Deep Dub music.
It what gets me in the zone and can easily work for ours non stop. Love getting a flow on with a livery.
I only stop time to time because of decal numbers.

And hey that’s what a community is about, sharing ideas, having a chin wag like now.
Be what ever the case we can all take five here, be part of R200 or not.

Like what I said to a House that offered me power, a voice over the masses.
