Seen some of those at Eastleigh once. Sad knowing that 99.9% of them are left to rot.

Yeah... a real shame about these units. I'd say they were my favourite multiple units (especially in SWT C6 livery), despite having never seen them IRL. I've heard they would've been too costly for SWR to fully refurbish around 2020, but it's still quite baffling to me how they'd all just outright be scrapped, being the world's fastest third-rail electric units and all...
