It's been a rewarding experience, I walk back from the nearest station from where I spotted a "log". While doing so has been useful in road learning, surprising what you miss at 60mph. Also I know know every inch of the Stations, every nook and cranny needed to be looked in. Now I know exactly where I am when driving..
Indeed! When going in a train versus going walking you feel a route is completely different... There is so much to explore when walking And those "jobs" make it even better
You guys inspire me to do the same First I should stop driving in the rain - this prevents me from exiting the train hehe
I "walked" over 100 miles on the Trans Pennine and Great Western collecting things, got my 100 km badge too...
It is indeed. I often wander around just looking at things. DTG spent time modeling everything so I feel I should at least take a closer inspection. In fact it was only just recently I realised that you could actually drive the trains! it's surprising how far you can go 'off map' in some locations. That church spire in the distance is in Leeds!
