The issue here with console pricing, especially Xbox, is that it's the same storefront for Gamepass PC and Xbox as TSW is a play Anywhere title. The PC version on Gamepass gets the full timetable, same as every other PC Version.
I don't think it's possible to price the console only version different, at least for Xbox.

 

I also did a few laps on the S-Bahn yesterday, a really nice new package.
However, I had the following problem yesterday: while picking up a VIP from the airport and taking him to the stadium, I noticed two things. There is a red signal in the stabling station (at the very end of the task) - but in the overview (button 9) it is marked as “green”. And when I was just before the siding, TSW crashed (so I was thrown out completely).
I will complete the task again today and see if the crash problem occurs again.

 

While this route looks interesting, I think I've managed to break free from the compulsion to buy routes on day 1. Which is good, especially since this one will probably cook my PC as badly as Frankfurt-Fulda did. With Switch 2 coming out soon, I've got plenty to keep me busy anyway. But, one day I'll probably pick it up.

the Game Pass Discount 10% always takes some time until available?

 

Usually it active the day after release, sometimes takes 2 days to show up.

 

PS5 player here. And user of Frankfurt S-Bahn S8 and S9 in real life.

I was looking forward to this route, until we got the info about the reduced timetable.

I do not care if this route is release in 2026, but I want the full time table. It is not a matter of getting even a discount. A reduced timetable makes no sense for Frankfurt S-Bahn.

When DTG finally takes the time to bring their game code to 2025 standard and can offer the full timetable on consoles, I buy this route the same day.

 

Was really looking forward to this route when it was announced. Upon hearing the news that the console would get a reduced timetable compared to PC, it made me pause.

For the first time, even though the route looks amazing, I’ve stopped myself from buying it. At this point after owning TSW3, 4 & now 5, I’ve become to expext better. Just don’t feel like things are where they should be. I’ll be waiting to see what improves before I buy this route. Fingers crossed that happens.

DTG openly admit by this route, they are not able to solve console issue... This system is faling down on consoles. I didn't buy anything from them for a year...

Totally unnecessary to bait console players like this (and I say that as a PC player unaffected by this). Console players deserve to have a TSW5 that is at least as stable and playable as TSW4, and quite simply they don't.

 

Totally agree. I almost felt apologetic about having a PC when giving feedback. Those of us who are lucky enough to have the money and/or space to have a gaming PC should not bait those who can only have a console. Life is difficult enough. Advocate for, and don't kick, people who aren't as lucky as you.

 

Well, actually, I think you'll find that many people who play on console are doing so because they prefer it, not because they can't afford a PC. Many are playing on pc's which are both equal to or less than the price of a top line PS5 or XBoxX, which are not cheap.
I've considered getting a PS5 myself but I fear I may fail the dexterity test.

I think you give the impression, whether you meant to or not, that you are condescending towards " those who can only have a console ". Maybe they just like sitting on the sofa with a drink and cigar while they play on their 85" OLED TV.

 

After a number of runs, I am finding, to my delight, that the full schedule is giving the same issues that LBM, with the timetable mod, gives, congested lines resulting in a number of red signals slowing you down as you wait for trains ahead to clear the block. For me, this makes running a line fun.

 

No, it wasn't meant in a condescending way at all. "Only" is carrying less weight than your interpretation, I know people with a PC and a console and tend to switch between the two depending on the game they're playing. Another fella I know who's just gotten into TSW on console simply doesn't have room for a PC. It's not a money thing. A £500 PC will run TSW.

But I do feel sorry for the console community when simulators like TSW and MS Flight Simulator are better suited to PCs. On both platforms us PC players get to use all kinds of mods that console players don't have access to.

If people find empathy condescending then so be it. There needs to be more empathy in the world.

 

Fair enough. I guess " only " can have different meanings. Certainly with this case ( SBahn ), console players deserve some empathy on the part of PC players.

 

Tsw is offered on xbox, it must meet the requirements which it does not, that's it. BTW Console is a maximum, my inner child can rationally spend

It would be great if there were a consistent timetable; then this "feature" would really be a feature.
The route itself is great.

The weird thing about the Master Race is that no matter how many times it is explained that the problems on console are caused by memory leaks that DTG are working on fixing, all they can hear is 'PC make game go brrr'.

 

Meanwhile as someone who owns multiple consoles AND more than one PC, it's glaringly obvious to me that this game should NOT perform as poorly on the console hardware as it does.

 

This is really what it boils down to- yes, consoles have their limitations, but the game is also horribly optimized. Both things can be true!

 

Yeah, sorry, the master race comment was definitely aimed at the trolling clowns, not PC owners in general, it just gets annoying when people hark on about how the solution to all of TSWs problems is 'buy a PC'. Even then it's not that easy though, I could run TSW on PC but already bought 5 years of TSW DLC on PlayStation, so won't be magically moving across anytime soon.

I have more faith than many on here that DTG will get on top of the memory problems, which will benefit both console and PC players alike. Whether console players will eventually get the full timetable remains to be seen, but I feel the uproar over the 'reduced' timetable on consoles has at least lit a necessary fire under DTGs backside to improve things.

 

Some people do sometimes forget how "Glorious PC Gaming Master Race™" was coined as a snarky tongue in cheek reference.
