Hi All, I have a recollection of being able to sit back and enjoy the AI driving the player train in TSC, how I did it I cannot remember but recall it being something to do with a mod or backdoor testing method of controlling a train. Google searches prove fruitless, It may have been on UKTS which is gone now. Any assistance much appreciated.
Go into the game's properties menu on steam. Under the "General" tab, at the bottom you'll see "Launch Options". Add "-followaitrain" to your launch options (include the hyphen and make sure it's all lower case). Load up a scenario, go into the "8" camera. CTRL-click once on the player train to let the AI take over. CTRL-click a second time to set the camera to follow it. Sit back and enjoy. You can change between different AI trains using Page Up and Page Down.
Thanks for this info. I actually knew you could do this for AI trains but I didn't know you could do it for the player train. After trying it out I remembered why I didn't use it much. There is a stutter that occurs at seemingly regular intervals. Maybe this only happens on my installation I don't know. If it does happen to everybody then possibly someone might have a fix for it. Unlikely I know.
I get that stuttering also, AI has always done its to some degree in TSC and for that matter TSW too.....
