I keep coming across this issue when trying to cook my variant. How do I overcome this?

If you are using Muff's TSW Editor Tools, you need to open the Editor with StartEditor.bat and not thru the Epic Games Launcher.

 

I have tried that, but it says something to the effect of "cannot find game install location". Why does this happen?

 

After you installed the Editor and TSW Editor Tools, have you opened TSW5.
