Hi Dovetail Team, As a huge fan of Train Sim World, I’d love to see an expanded focus on the Northeast U.S. rail network. Specifically, I’d like to suggest: Full Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) coverage, including all branches such as: Ronkonkoma Branch Babylon Branch Port Jefferson Branch Oyster Bay Branch Hempstead Branch Far Rockaway, West Hempstead, and Long Beach lines Atlantic Branch and City Terminal Zone (Penn Station, Grand Central, and Atlantic Terminal access) Metro-North Railroad additions, including: Hudson Line New Haven Line with the New Canaan, Danbury, and Waterbury branches Integration of Grand Central Terminal and Harlem Line connections Full Northeast Corridor (NEC) for Amtrak, including: Full stretch from Washington, D.C. to Boston Major stations like Philadelphia 30th Street, Newark Penn, and New Haven Union Service variety: Acela, Amtrak Regional, and long-distance trains Rolling stock and fleet variety, such as: M3, M7, M9, and M9A for LIRR M3A, M7A, and M8 for Metro-North ACS-64, Avelia Liberty (new Acela), Amfleet cars, and more for Amtrak Expanding these lines and adding authentic rolling stock would really elevate the realism and depth of Train Sim World 5. Thanks for considering! Best, neomio09
For these routes, we need freight services too. The Avelia Liberty (which should be finally entering revenue service later this year) would be awesome to see on the NEC. Then we need the new, upcoming ALC-42Es and Siemens Venture Cars for Amtrak Regional trains (those should enter service in the next few years).
I kind of doubt DTG would touch LIRR again after the adverse reaction from many quarters to running with safety systems always on.
