Today I am suggesting the Washington Metro Blue Line from Franconia-Springfield to King Street-Old Town. The route features two stations that are exclusive to the Blue Line ( Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street). Trains run every 10 minutes on weekday rush hours, every 12 minutes during weekday off-peak hours, they also run every 12 hours on weekends and every 15 minutes after 9:30 pm daily. This route also includes the WMATA Alexandria Rail Yard. Service: Franconia-Springfield to Downtown Largo Station List: Franconia-Springfield Van Dorn Street King Street-Old Town The trains that run on this route are: Alstom 6000 Series Kawasaki 7000 Series Hitachi 8000 Series The service is operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
