I keep getting clear (white diagonal aspect) banner repeaters immediately before red signals. I have encountered this multiple times on this route but not on any other, it seems like this issue is confined to this route.
These weird wires coming out from the gangways, clipping through the bogies, and onto the tracks. This was on WCMLS, PS5.
Xbox Series X: gangway cables poking through the carriages into the ground. Also, some cars are missing their gangways. this was on WCMLS
So done a few runs and its no better now then when it was a release. Terrible blurriness and washed out look, the scoring is still wrong on scenarios done a perfect scenario and only managed silver was short over 2000 points. The weather in journey mode is so bad bright sunny day clear blue sky and pouring of rain. And the class 378 all it wants to do is wheel spin even in dry weather. This is on xbox .
I can confirm it’s fixed on PS5 now (blurry in-cab textures) as I did a few runs the other evening. Series X is forever problematic when it comes to TSW. It’s only going to get worse though, hopefully when the new Xbox console drops in a few years it will make the experience better.
For the life I cant figure out why train will not once I put the shoes down set up correctly but shoe will not go down any help please. Thanks
On Steam / PC. Deffo a weird issue with Journey Mode. When you go to select a journey, the weather shows as hard locked as max snow and wind. The route loads, snow everywhere for a second then changes to blue skies and rain (yet no rain clouds). The date is meant to be 28th July as well, so should be summer weather. The train then drives exactly like the "weather" conditions of snow and wind would imply. I tried a few journeys as well and it is exactly the same on all of them.
I've a feeling we won't get any fixes until the Richmond extension comes and they'll all be rolled into that. Also got a feeling that may not be till early 2026 either.
Makes sense at least. I'd wager the extension is already being worked on. No point fixing anything for it to all mess up again.
I hadn't seen this one before until today, I decided to spawn at Homerton and just saw this floating fence in the middle of the track, I've found lots of issues with this route and the train but I can't believe that this floating fence is there over 4 months after release. This route definately needed some polishing before being released.
After playing the route quite a lot, here's all the issues I've found, and its a long list so sit tight. The route - Blurry textures still present when all layers are enabled - Middle platform at Willesden Junction is wrong - Not many passengers present at most stations, the majority of them are just the static passengers e.g. sitting on a bench - No overground signage at the exit of Kensal Rise - No station exit at Brondesbury Park + No overground signage outside - No station exit at Brondesbury + No overground signage outside - On the Westbound platform at Brondesbury, there is an unusually large gap between the train and the platform - West Hampstead Station is completely wrong, the station had upgrades finished in 2019. As this route is set modern day, I would expect that the stations would reflect that + an exit with overground signage would be nice as well. - The 710s on the GOBLIN clip into the platform at Gospel Oak - On the Westbound platform at Gospel Oak, there is an unusually large gap between the train and the platform - No station exit at Kentish Town West - No station exit at Camden Road - Gaps and incorrect lighting when passing under a bridge between Caledonian Road & Barnsbury and Highbury & Islington - No station exit at Highbury & Islington + the bridge on the east side of the station is not accessible to the player - Floating signage at Canonbury - Far too light under the station entrance and road bridge on the east side on Dalston Kingsland - No overground signage outside the station at Dalston Kingsland - No overground signage outside the station at Hackney Central - Long fence in the middle of the track at Homerton - Step up to the train from the platform is far too big at Hackney Wick Class 378 - Horn has been copied from the other electrostars and thus has the same issue of it cutting out - The sounds have been copied from the other electrostars, the 378 is supposed to sound different to the electrostars - The PIS has been copied from the other electrostars, the text is smaller and thicker on the 378s - On the WCMLS, cables which connect the coaches extends into the ground - Missing gangways on the 378, specifically on the WCMLS - The gangways between the coaches are somewhat see-through and clip into the side of the train in the interior - The accessible area on the 378s is not included on the train - The windows of the doors are too big - Missing warning stickers on the doors from the inside of the train - See-through parts of the train next to the doors - Gaps through the ceiling above one of the PIS screens in the train - Doors go pitch black inside on the train when it is dark outside, this should not be happening - The text on the overground roundels on the outside of the train glows during rain or when it is dark outside -The speedometer instrument light glows green, mimicking the other Electrostars present although it should be a white glow
Did this route ever get a proper update addressing all its big issues at release? I don’t see anybody talking about it on here anymore, and that’s never a good sign because it means people have forgotten about it. Was initially super chuffed when the free extension got announced a while ago… perhaps some of the fixes can’t be released because they’re being done on an in-development build that also includes the upcoming extension? Kinda like the Fife Circle situation where a few fixes also had to be held back until development work on the Levenmouth branch was finished.
I don't think it ever did, every problem present at launch is still present now. I'm hoping that when the extension is released, they also bring fixes to the route and train. The 378 is in desperate need of a complete overhaul and parts of the route need going over, like West Hampstead looking nothing like it is supposed to.
Adding to the 378 list: The speedometer instrument light glows green, mimicking the other Electrostars present although it should be a white glow.
How this DLC is now with all these bugs and issues. It should have never been released. It’s extremely poor.
There are lots of bugs and issues with the route, see my list which is somewhere on this thread for all the ones I've found, but despite being a pretty good route, especially for one person, it is riddled with bugs. The 378 especially should have never been allowed to release in the state that it is in, even 5 months after release, nothing has been fixed on this unit. From the sounds being wrong, the interior being wrong and having no gangway connections between coaches, this train does need a complete rework. Back on to the route, an entire station on the route looks nothing like how it does in real life, lots of floating assets, and not great light baking, this route also needs going over. Overall I think for a solo developer, the route is very nice, but at the end of the day we are paying full price for a product which should be up to a similar standard to other routes being released around the same time.
It's West Hampstead, I can't get on to grab a screenshot now but if you have the DLC or watch a video of it and see West Hampstead station, this is how it's supposed to look: This is the only clear picture I could find online (annoying that it's in the dark but It'll do), if I'm there at all in the near future I'll grab a clearer picture but for now this works.
I finally decided to get Mildmay yesterday despite it‘s flaws / problems as I really wanted to drive the route and the 378. After some testing, what works for me is switching off the layers that don‘t involve Willesden Junction or Stratford AI. Most of the other trains are difficult to spot while driving anyway and don‘t take away from my personal fun on the route. (Unlike a dead Frankfurt and Wiesbaden Hbf on FSB for example). I have done 3 runs without blurriness like that now. - That said, I hope the issue is fixed in the TSW6 core and that many improvements and optimisations are made to this route with the extension to Richmond. Edit: On PS5 Pro
I disable almost all the layers except a few there really was no need for so many layers especially seeing as you dont see most or them and if you do its like for a few seconds.
Reading all of this, it really leaves behind the impression that the development priorities for this route were simply wrong in the crucial time leading up to release. I remember tons of route building posts in the beginning (back when a bigger part of London was still planned), but those gradually made way for countless livery variants and layers, most of which the player rarely (if ever) gets to see during gameplay. That was obviously great to increase the excitement of forum users, but caused the absolute basics of the DLC to get left behind. Instead of fixing performance, rolling stock and scenery accuracy issues in the critical period before release, we ended up with tons of superfluous layers, which incidentally also absolutely tank the performance of the route and make it all blurry, even on pro consoles. This route is still on my list once the extension eventually releases, but there’s an absolute mountain of issues, inaccuracies, bugs and feedback to work through. This seems even more daunting a task than the Midland Mainline turnaround (thanks Adam for pulling off that absolute miracle lol). The absolute radio silence over the past few months doesn’t exactly inspire confidence…
