Hi DTG could you's potentially do a trial run with one train from Australia that is a passenger train just to realise and understand how many people will actually use it and that it will be worth while for you guys there’s quite a lot of people requesting you's to add him Australian trains and you's don’t reply back to us. I heard a while ago you's won’t do it because apparently it’s too much effort and the cost to travel for research is too much for you guys that’s not rlly a fair excuse to use sorry if a DTG could get back to me so we could have a chat about it so we all understand and are on the same page that would be awesome.
what do u mean by operator like the government state department that runs the state fleets or the transport departments that manage all transport aspects.
Your best bet of getting an Australian route is to contact or make a 3rd party team in Australia to make it. It's not that people don't want it, people would definitely buy it. It'd be incredibly difficult to do it.. given how far Australia is and how difficult it is to apparently obtain a license.
Yeah it’s pretty rediculous to be honest but I might reach out to our transport minister and see what she says about it.
Aurizon has approved, but they have been taken over, so DTG must cancel their plans for Australia. Sometimes it just takes time for licenses.
Aurizon is a freight company. DTG had a license, but Aurizon got taken over, and apparently everything got cancelled after that. There still could be an Australian route, but most operators deny DTG a license. Note: My message needs to be moderated, so someone else may answer the question before my replie appears. Apologies.
Aurizon does freight train services in Australia. DTG is actively trying to bring Australia into the game because there is a massive demand for it and if DTG get the operators to approve for licensing then there will eventually be Australian routes for TSW.
So all they need is the train operators to approve the licensing so they can bring them in. Because I was told by someone from the uk that DTG doesn’t want to travel so far because it’s gonna be a financial issue and that it ain’t worth it but there’s quite a lot of us Australia’s that are trying to push for it
I do wonder if a simple solution to the travel issue would be to just get some contractors in Australia to help negating the need to make flights as well as other travel-related expenses.
DTG did say in another thread that they would like to do an Australian route, so I don't think travel expenses would discourage them from doing an Australian route. DTG would most likely do some market research before starting development on a route in Australia, to see if the costs outweigh the possible sales etc. It also depends how many people are required to be flown over, which could make costs significantly higher.
Yeah that makes more sense then majority of other people having a go at me but thx for clarifying appreciate it mate. Are you from Aus or UK
Yes that’s what I was thinking too man but in all honesty I’m actually surprised there isn’t a 3rd party software developer here to help build it. Something we could work on in the near future see if anyone is able to become one for Australia
