I'm surprised there isn't one already? I know there is a freeware Amsterdam-Rotterdam but you need 22 other files are are mostly no longer available. Plus i see when you do have everything it still barely works. Or Amsterdam - Antwerp
There is one Dutch route that is Payware that comes with all the loco and stock https://www.trainworx.nl/product/retro-canvas-route/ There are a few Freeware Routes for Holland and Belgium but you need other routes and stuff to make them work And Belgium
You have this website for payware Dutch routes for Train Simulator 20xx by what can see on screenshots the quality it's not perfect but ain't terribel either so always worth having a look at https://trainsim.hcc.nl/hcc-trainsim-add-ons.html
DTG Does not have a Licence to use Dutch Logos in any of it's Payware. If you want a Dutch Route look at https://simtogether.com/
I expect it's less lacking a license than a lack of desire, at least until proven otherwise. I would highly recommend both the Dutch freeware routes (krammerdijks and achterhoek especially) and the christrains payware Dutch rolling stock
I can heartily endorse the recommendations above. The Dutch community are excellent "modellers" and the routes are extremely good. ChrisTrains' rolling stock is as good as it gets and reasonably priced.
There is something changed there they have obtained the licence here so they announced the TSW5 route Zwolle Groningen. So if you're fan of Dutch stuff they will create now a Dutch route in the coming months.
Xander1986 I highly doubt there will be more than this 1 route, and it's more than likely it won't be made for TSC. If you want to start out with Dutch content then start by buying the Retro Canvas Route at Simtogether ( Trainworx has closed their doors ). There's also a mixed fictional route set in the border area of Germany/Netherlands called "Grenzlandbahn". Buy the recommended stock for Retro Canvas at ChrisTrain now that there's a sale to get more value for the route. Note that there are current "missing consist" errors in Retro Canvas, I contacted Wilbur Graphics and they were pretty fast at helping me out fixing it, it's an easy fix. For other Dutch content, unless you have a big wallet or you make your own scenarios, then forget it as the majority of the Dutch community owns everything Dutch and makes scenarios preferably with everything they have on their hard drive.
He said TSW5 And Zwolle - Groningen already exists in TSC as NoordOost Nederlande https://dutchsims.nl/viewforum.php?f=58
I never disputet that he said TSW5, I just made the point it's unlikely we will see a dutch dlc , in particular this one, for TSC. It's the TSC forum and there were other users asking about dutch content, which is why I gave more information. Thanks for the NoordOost Nederlande information, I wasn't aware this was the same route. The route itself doesn't require much payware either.
https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/de/map/train-simulator-classic-neu2023_940885#9/52.3697/5.4657 look at this map and scroll towards the netherlands. The Dutch community has basicly built most of the network at this point. Yes, you will need to leave the comfort of Steam and download a truckload of freeware assets. It´s all there for taking. They even have installers for the routes. Besides the UK and Austria, you will struggle to find other countries with better coverage in TSC than the Netherlands. PS: Christrains will provide you with all the locos and emus you need. But these are payware unlike the routes.
It will come a Dutch route for TSW5.... They announced Groningen Zwolle last week.... Or do i understand you wrong there and do you point on something else here?
Don't forget Dutch classics. I'm sorry if I'm being misunderstood here, the dutch community has done an outstanding job. It's just that you need to spend a lot of money on all the rolling stock needed is what I'm saying, I should know since I already emptied my wallet for ChrisTrains and dutch classics. Xander1986 : My post was made mostly to inform the new member that this route likely won't be making an appearance in Train Simulator Classic as an official dlc, and what the choices was in Train Simulator Classic if you want dutch content.
One of the items I purchased from Dutch Classics was the NS 1300. But the Speedo does not read correctly - I contacted them in 2015 but they have not bothered fixing it. On the page for the NS 1300 it says "The long-awaited and long-awaited update of the 1300 locomotive will be released at the end of February 2023." Still waiting
I'm not the only one then, I bought the same loco as you but lost the mail with the download link when I carelessly cleaned my e-mail account and deleted all my e-mails. Tried contacting them several times as their support says you can recover 3 times I think it was, but no reply. I'm not so sure their site is actually managed anymore and purchases is just automated. EDIT: It was the NS1100 that I bought.
problem is, that half of the freeware requirements do not work/are not available anymore which means that if you did not have them already then good luck getting any Dutch route to work.
Since this got bumped, I will add a note that the Retro Canvas Route is still available from SimTogether. There is also a route called the Grendlandbahn. Both use lots of stock from Wilbur Graphics and require ChrisTrains locos for scenarios. Both are fictional routes. The latter claims "guaranteed many hours of fun". Here is the video for that one, and linked here is the English Readme. Retail price is $4 cheaper than any new route on Steam for me, seems to never be on discount, so make your own call. It does come with a bunch of stock including the V36 from Eisenbahnwerk, though most of the stock is what I believe are rolling stock (not engines) from Wilbur. As for getting the Retro Canvas Route back if you lost your proof of purchase of it, try contacting SimTogether or Wilbur. They won't have a record of your purchase, but maybe they can try to help you out. The latter I think has only been available at SimTogether.
You are wrong. If you look at any of the routes on the Dutch Forums they always have the assets required for their routes. https://dutchsims.nl/
Yup it is all available if you spend the time to search. Don’t expect everything on a plate. Once installed there are some outstanding scenarios to be had.
