A couple of bugs make completing the horseshoe curve scenarios impossible on console (not sure if important but I guess I’m on the TSW4 main engine). Note: I’ve completed most of the timetables so I’ve got a good idea of what I’m doing/not a newb. issue: “Galitzin Around” is a perfect scenario example: Scenario begins. Train arrives you are supposed to help push - only problem is you’ve got a red light about 30 feet in front of your engines that never switches to caution even after you “contact the dispatcher and request permission to proceed”. I’ve sat there for 2 hours / never changed. Just solid red. Any attempt to move forward causes instant scenario failure for passing a red light. this is not the only scenario this occurs on - also happens on one of the others with the Norfolk Western unit acting as part of a pushing helper (scenario name escapes me). Same exact problem. Train you are supposed to help push arrives - clearance is supposedly granted / but red lights block your path and never change/instant fail if you cross them. yes I’ve tried backing up a bit and coming forward again. Doesn’t help.
I just finished the Galitzin around scenario on tsw5 PS5 because of this post. When you contact the signaler the light stays red because there is obviously a train on the block , it stayed red for me but I was still able to proceed forward and link up with the train. I had no issues the entire scenario
I was just able to finally pass. What is not intuitive is that the game tells you to contact the dispatcher - and seems to do so in ambient fashion (the objective is completed). But you still actually must contact the dispatcher manually (circle button on PS5). - If you don’t contact the dispatcher manually, despite the objective saying “proceed to destination”, you will fail. - If you DO contact the dispatcher manually - then it lets you drive through the red light.
