Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition!
This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG.
Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition.

    Rules:
    • TSC only shots allowed.
    • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes.
    • You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish.
    • 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory.
    • Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves).
    • The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge).
    • The Judge of the week's decision is final.
    • We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so.
    • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum.

Entries will close at 10PM GMT on Saturday, May 30th 2025 and will be judged by me - burnsys_bashes

In the event of this week's winner not responding by 10PM GMT on Sunday, June 1st 2025, a new thread will be created using the results of this week's poll.

The theme for this week is: Old And New
Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish.
    Good luck to you all.

The Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola uses the former WP shops as a heritage center for the now long gone WP, while behind it, Union Pacific trains still roll by on the mainline.

Looking resplendent in it's new Freightliner 60th Anniversary livery, 70017 hauls a heavy rake of somewhat older and rather more shabby TEA tanks from Immingham to Kingsbury.

    NER Class T2 7.jpg
British Railways Class Q6 '63351' of the formerly known NER Class T2 now very old dating back to the 1910s and 1920s is seen making a rescue of one of the new British Railways Class 101s from the 1950s traveling having just broken down north of Barnard Castle. The fireman remarks that the new diesel technology is laughable compared to the ways of steam, not knowing that some years later British Railways will be producing their last ever steam locomotive classes and the very railway line he now works on will be axed by the Beeching Cuts putting his job at risk. The British Rail Class 101s were later said to have been the backbone of their DMU fleet and all 120 except for a single one of the LNER Class Q6 / NER Class T2 would be scrapped.

Motive Power: NER Class T2 / LNER Class Q6
    Route: Weardale & Teesdale Network
Scenario: Raven Q6: [2] Water, Water Everywhere
Enhancements: Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 + Armstrong Powerhouse Cloud Enhancement Pack, Reshade

    EMD JT42CWRM 1.jpg
Mitsui Rail Capital Europe Class 66 'ERSR 6697' of EMD JT42CWR model is seen departing Karlsruhe Gbf in Baden-Württemberg, Germany with ~30 Habbillns wagons. The EMD JT42CWR has become a new favourite amongst the European rail scene, most notably in the United Kingdom of course and well over 500 have been produced since 1998. Old diesel railfreight power of Europe's past can be seen behind the departing train in the form of a Railion Class 294 also previously known as being in the Class V 90 range. They were built from the 1960s-1970s and during the 2000s started to be superseded by newer and better power.

    Motive Power:
    EMD JT42CWR
Route: The Rhine Railway: Mannheim - Karlsruhe
    Scenario: [MRCEDP] 01. Automobile Deliveries
Enhancements: Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 + Armstrong Powerhouse Cloud Enhancement Pack, Reshade
