Steam Frankfurt S-bahn Extreme Performance Issues & Stuttering

The new Frankfurt S-bahn route has been an absolute headache-inducing disaster for me ever since a few hours after installation, where it ran decently at first, now it has chosen constant freezing and poor framerates. By now I have tried pretty much every straightforward solution imaginable (reinstalling both the route and game, removing every mod from the game, restarting my PC, updating drivers, etc.) and although it has gotten better than how it was, it is still underperforming in my opinion: I get extreme stuttering throughout the majority of the route and the entire area around Frankfurt Hbf is just straight up unplayable, with framerates dropping to around 10-5 fps combined with said stutters. This is extremely strange to me as my PC should be able to run TSW perfectly fine.
PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X - AMD Radeon RX 6600 - 16 GB DDR4 RAM

 

Frankfurt HBf. seemingly has some kind of performance bottleneck, both on the mainline and the S-Bahn platforms. The route can run at 40-60 FPS on the rest, and when approaching the main station, it drops to 15-20 ish every single time. I don't remember the Frankfurt HBf. from Frankfurt - Fulda having this drastic performance drop, even though as far as the community found out the services for S-Bahn are modelled just not accessible.

What it looks like, that it is not a GPU bottleneck necessarily, as you can look at the floor and still have the same FPS when nothing is rendered but a flat texture. CPU is not maxed out either, but the usage is pretty constant. It feels like its a limitation of how many threads the game can run and after that only higher clocked Intel or X3D AMD CPU can help where the single thread performance is higher.

Just checked also total memory usage was 4GB System RAM and 7.5GB VRAM before exiting the game at the end of a run, so basically on 8 GB GPU that is also on the limit, and can tank performance.

I have not tried the limited timetable if it performs much better, which it probably should, unless they messed up something with the lighting that is eating the performance. My hope is that we will get some improvements as this is something that would be beneficial for the console folk as well.

 

I have also a lot of freeze (every 15 seconds) at Mainz Hbf and Francfurt.
My config :
Ryzen 5800X
RX 7800 XT
32 Gb ddr4 of ram

 

What I can't figure out is why tsw5 has such big frame drops not always in the usual place (at least for me).
Let me explain.
The other night I was in the Frankfurt-Niederrad station (so not the busiest S-bahn station in Frankfurt).
Well, the first time I was there the FPS were very low.
I exit the game and go back there.
The FPS were better.
Again I exit the game and go back there again and the FPS were so low that tsw5 froze!
All this always at the same time and with the same weather settings.

 

It's not about a dlc or another. The game stutters. Period. Nothing can be done. Second period.
What would change things? Devs not using unreal engine. Oh i mean, Dovetail not using UE. Because there are devs that know very well UE and they make non-stuttering videogames.
