Route West Coast Main Line: London Euston - Milton Keynes - Feedback

    Sorry if this has been posted before, but is it normal that on a lot of timetable services into euston, there are no passengers getting off. I'm using TSW5 on PS5. Despite all the poor reviews on this route, it's become ( as a newcomer) one of my favorites. Had a great run with a 710 into Euston, with 3 390's waiting to get into the station.

    I would feel that they are taking measures if they could fix the phenomenon in the photo in this thread as quickly as possible. I just hope that the developers don't think of it as a minor bug.

    The more I encounter the more frustrated I get.
    Still no Buzz back from the Guard on the 350 and 390 when closing doors as per IRL.
    350 PIS for AI trains still state 'Not in'
    390 AI Pantographs are raised at the Front of the train when it should be at the Rear.
    Tho when selecting a 390 service and spawn in the Pantograph is correctly set at the Rear.

    Still again Lack of passengers really ruins the route for me.

    It's safe to say this route has been forgotten about....just like all the other flagship routes.

    It's always questionable if your ticket will be resolved in game if it's not a stated problem on the forums, which can be better in my opinion. But ok I'm a positive person and want to thank DTG for solving a problem I encountered and made a ticket for earlier for this route. So thanks to DTG for solving the problem were I couldn't finish the Heavy Traffic scenario due a sticky objective progress on XboxX :).

    PS: saw later on this issue was mentioned in this thread.

    Hi there.

    Enjoying the route a lot, on both PS5 and PS4.

    Only thing that keeps me from driving the 350 is the fact that it comes to a sudden stop once the speed is 3 mph or lower. Like some form of autobrake.

    Now I am not 100% sure if something like this exists IRL but in the game the whole cab moves back and forth (which would probably be very uncomfortable for the passengers). Thus, it would be great if DTG could look again into the braking behaviour of the 350 on the last metres. Thank you!

    When walking through the 350, there appears to be invisible barriers at certain doors (specifically when going from first to standard class). Takes a few minutes to let you through.

    Why do all ai trains say not in. Also what is with aws going into Euston every time I get penalty brakes no matter what speed im doing. Mainly on platforms 8-12.

    Sounds like you're getting an overspeed penalty brake application by the TPWS, not AWS. You need to be under 15mph as those grids will put the brakes on if doing more.

    Since the update today, 02-06.2025, i am unable to move up in scenarios. Everytime i need to couple a train ( Class 350 ), i get it done, but to get moving with it is a other question, nomatter what i do, the train wont move. I have this already in two scenarios:

    - Back in Service, coupled up with the 4 cars at Euston, swap cabin, then i cant move anymore.
    - Heavy Traffic, all good till watford junktion, swap cabins, and no moving anymore
    I am on X-Box Series X

    I hate to say it but without the scenery and timetable mods which the talented modders have created, this route would have been sitting on the shelf and collecting dust for me a long time ago.

    Before I downloaded the timetable mods, I could count on both hands the (very little) amount of AI traffic I would see passing from one end of the route to the other. I’d actually pay for the (free) modded timetable, given how much of an improvement it is over the skeleton base timetable.

    The base route offerings is simply unacceptable so I can see why people who don’t have access to mods are annoyed at the state of both the route and timetable.

    Last night I drove class 710 2C15 08:58 WJN-EUS.
    When I approached Euston, I noticed several trains stuck at reds. Euston was totally snarled up! Of course, I was brought to a red light, several out from EUS.
    Exploring the map, I found a train stopped across a set of points just outside EUS, and another nearby (nearly touching) stopped with a status message to the effect of stopped to avoid a collision.
    Deleting the train stopped on the junction eventually freed things up.
    I've not noticed this kind of thing before on this route and wonder whether it's linked to the recent update.
    A most unsatisfactory run which wound me up rather than relaxing me which is what I play the game for.

    As a Console user I can't recall the last time I went on the route. The times I did it was usually to drive one of the Watford DC services.

    I'm envious of the mods that PC gamers have created and can be played, However I can't afford a PC so it is what it is.

    As a core route sold with TSW5 it speaks volumes as to what a juicy fat turd WCML south is and how little DTG care.

    Two things playing the PS5 version.

    1. People now on the track at H&W on the slow lines at the Euston end of the platforms.

    2. the sense of incompleteness this route offers without the 390 or 710 bundled in. I can kind of understand the former, but other than the stretch from QP to H&W with the Bakerloo stock, you cannot actually experience what the DC Lines have to offer. So IMHO the 710 should also have been bundled with the basic route to give a playable DC Lines timetable. DTG should have thought of that when conceiving a route that needed so many different layers to represent the full operational potential. If they didn’t want to give too much away, then choose a route that doesn’t need it rather than compromising one that does.

    Yep, sadly a very common fault. Think I once did a stopper from MKC, found Euston at a standstill, deleted the train fouling the points, which got things going again, only for the game to crash at Euston station throat.

    Calmly put my controller down and slowly walked away…

    Since the last update they’ve made the texture issue 1000x worse when driving in the Milton Keynes direction. Basically the whole route when driving in that direction is a blur now.

    Totally unacceptable at this point.

    I guess reaction to this varies by customer. It really does not bother me and I usually would not see it since I am strictly a driver. Rarely move from my seat.

    I don't usually see these either.

    Probably why it doesn't bother me as much.
