We all know TSW6 is coming soon, so why not extend the much loved LNER route, making it a terminus on both ends. You'd get to go through the city of london, and hop to all the main stations such as st pancras, London Victoria, Euston etc etc. Furthermore, going through to scenic York is beautiful, I've done doncaster to york before and going through the countryside is immense, seeing drax, the motorways and rivers is beautiful. Not only that, but York station also serves as a terminus for some LNER trains, so why not make it a part of the route?

Kings Cross and York would probably be too much but as one who actually enjoys a bit of guilty pleasure driving the TSW ECML I would take either. York on its own probably wouldn’t be far enough but the next logical point then is really Newcastle which is too far. Darlington possibly but a rather odd place to end. I suppose if you added Doncaster to York and Leeds. Going up to Kings Cross would be 76 miles with a lot of detail as you get closer to the capital so not sure how DTG’s route building capacity would cope with that.. Anyhow with the re acquisition of the GWR licence it seems likely that any British route for TSW6 is probably going to be Western based though that’s only speculation of course.
As much as I'd like this, for the main UK flagship route on release for TSW6 I imagine it will be in a completely different region. I reckon (and hope on the first idea) it'll either be the Riviera line or an East Anglian line.
