And TBH if steam does come back we need some more workaday general purpose locos. For the LNER (BR/LNE) that would mean a B1, B12 or perhaps a V2 not a top link loco only at home on a handful of services.
Correction; they DID record. Granted, many of us would love to see steam return to TSW, myself included, but considering DTG doesn't want to even touch the unfinished steam configs now, that seems unlikely. Thomas was a different proposition, he was basically a glorified kids DLC. The best we can hope for is that either they change their minds, or a third-party group steps in to do the job DTG clearly refuses to lay a finger on. In the meantime, I'm hearing there's a movement to try and show DTG that there is a clear demand for more steam locos in TSW. Is that true?
Wouldn't call it any sort of development though, it only really served to get Flying Scotsman into TSW.
Pretty sure any movement would fall on deaf ears. I think DTG largely only use their survey to make decisions on new content and based on what we’ve had recently, the majority are asking for one lever stop/start EMUs. If they could get their heads down and make Steam traction better and get a decent collection of locos made then the TSC players who enjoy steam the most might be tempted to migrate over to TSW.
I think tornado would be would be a better idea as it it more modern and would make more sense for railtours
