I’m not sure if it’s a great idea but what happens if you can play as a signal maintainer in game mode when you don’t want to drive a locomotive or being a conductor in the train. It will be awesome for people like myself who works in the signal department to learn hands on experience what is like to be a signal maintainer and what they do
It would way too complex, I think, I mean it could maybe work with simple signal boxes, but with full ROC's, it ain't gonna happen.
Have to say, I would love to see York ROC or TVSC make an appearance if we ever got dynamic 'chaos', and then we could be route controllers/signallers - but appreciate this wouldn't really be practical with the current dispatcher.
Think this is way too complex and specialised also Network Rail or any other railway in the game is not going to want the inner processes of wiring up signalling systems in the public domain. What might be feasible and quite fun would be a Roadcraft style track renewal sub game. Taking out the old track, preparing the roadbed, laying the new, ballast and tamp.
