I know its desiro sounds im at Waterloo everyday. My point is the sounds are constantly looping and its extremely annoying. The initial motor sounds loop until 30 they dont change pitch at all which isnt realistic

I’m not a train driver so I can’t comment. From videos I’ve seen of the 700 departing though, the electro humming sound is quite present and loud up until the 30 miles per hour mark, maybe could do with some tuning and pitch adjustment I guess. It would be better to ask a train driver who drives the 700 and get their prospective. The humming could be louder in the cab? As a passenger you only hear it slightly.
I like the loud humming myself. As I said before, for me it is what makes it unique. Annoying for you ;) it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

sorry again for invading this thread lol... just want to make sure, or if you know a good source pls guide me to it - I know that double yellow means next signal will be single yellow and that means red afterwards, with all those triggering AWS warning... what I am not sure of is what speeds should I be going, or braking towards, when I get:
    - two yellow lights
    - single yellow light
I somehow managed to get penalty brake application even in 465 towards a service to Dartford, near the station... and now I am not sure if it was me sleeping over the vigilance warning or if it was AWS triggering the application... I was probably going 40 mph, with plenty time and distance to spare before 20 mph and eventual red

If you're coming to a red signal, best bet is to crawl at around 10mph or less, braking slightly the closer you get.

As for double or single yellows, that comes down to practice and distance to the next signal.

as for yellows, I know how much in advance I have to brake to slow down/stop in time... the thing is, if there are actual speed limits that might trigger AWS brake application if they are not followed?

Some ramps have speed limits I think, but I'm not entirely sure what they'd be other than low. If I was to guess, I'd say 30 or below for a single yellow and 50-60 for double yellow. Although that's dependent on things such distance between signals and braking distance I'd say.

Also, if you come to a double yellow, you're better off decelerating, increasing the speed at which you do so slowly.

ok, ran that exact same service where I got a brake app like 500yds or so before the station, and it was either me sleeping on vigilance beeping (maybe I didnt hear it through the screeching of rails at lower speed) or I might have gone like 35 mph where there was single yellow with 2 over it lol... either of those... cos now, when I did that one all over again, I havent gotten a single brake application (also thanks to tips from you guys, tried to keep like 35-40 at double yellow and 20-25 at single yellow)

It only has spark effects for the Pantagraph.

Its horrible to drive on DC. Especially between Strood and Chatham. The dusty DC sounds just loop as if you have power applied even when coasting. Not to mention its just looping with no pitch changed at all.

My only criticism with this DLC is the 700 doesn't have the monitors working, it is really sad not to see them in operation. I would love to see them in operation some day. I know their is a MOD out there for this, but as I play on Xbox, it really gets rid of the realistic aspect of the train as well as the immersion.

Why do DTG not fix it? Why leave it in this state? Perplexed.

I am not that familiar with European trains and know nothing about the 700. Is spark affects only for the pantograph good? Is there supposed to be more?

There should be sparks for both AC & DC modes. And sparks should be on every electric train

Do they even have a sound engineer currently on their payroll - you have to wonder?

Another tragic case of a DLC launched with great hype, found to have all sorts of issues and now left to rot in the pile of forgotten content.

Right, it's really getting old. Hard to support a company that turns it's nose at certain things that need fixed.

and this is like the most strict implementation of AWS/TPWS in TSW... never got as many penalty brakes on UK routes as with this one... so when AWS beeps, you better brake down accordingly, and if it is a single yellow, you better do it fast and hard :D

I believe some ppl here suggested that double yellow means that you should slow down, either depending on the section you are at, or if you are approaching a station where you stop or sth, to get down to like 40 mph at most, and at single yellow 20 mph at most... there are posts about this earlier in this thread I believe

I always try and aim for 30mph when arriving at a station, 15mph for short platforms.

Remember, you’ve got about 2-3 seconds to acknowledge the AWS, you should always slow down for any adverse signals you see, don’t start slowing down only after you’ve past the signal. Drivers irl are told not to chase yellows. And go no faster than 20mph when passing an AWS Magnet for red signal.

Double yellow is an aspect to watch up for coming aspects... If you're on west somerset railway than you have to do nothing if you watch it on the ECML i should more attention so that you have to slow down is not direct the case but thats not the same it depends per route

double yellow also means, if you approach a station, be it a stop or through, that you should be ready to slow down... and if it is before a terminus, then it better is 40 mph or below, as that might get you penalty brakes real quick heh

hey, I'm not from London nor ever ridden a 700, are the horns that quiet IRL or is the volume just an in-game issue? thanks

This train does not appear anywhere on track being driven by A.I. in timetable mode on PS4 in spite of the full timetable being selected rather than the reduced one.

It should appear regardless of the timetable used (the TGV is the only removed layer).

My first TSC screenshot featuring my favourite locomotive :)
We need more TSC routes in TSW that feature the class 700, one route is not enough. No point mentioning the ECML 2 min shunting services.

Yeah i know the mod you mean. Unfortunately i don't own TSW4/5 on steam, only Xbox PC. My entire collection though is on PS5.
It's definitely something to consider though if i ever wanted more 700 in my life. I may give that some thought as i see the 700 is on sale on steam currently, so that and the BML plus the free starter pack wouldn't break the bank :)

No. I chose the RW Enhancer 2 for now. On pay day i'm going to pick up the AP graphic mods though and experiment to see what looks better. I've just had a crazy spend up on steam on ATS, ETS2 and TSC content too so i need to watch my budget for this month.

You're famous on TSC. Your screenshot is featured on the loading screen :)

This Product has problems in livery designer and it’s one of many I have now with your DTG products.
So I will now being looking at taking this to Trading Standards because your selling products that are endlessly defective.

As I say this is not a single incident there are many and I’ve had enough now.
Fix what you have sold before you rinse fans of anymore many.

Please get back to me on this situation as matter if urgency before I seek further advice from outside sources.

The class 700 in LD has laying issues and why I purchase products mostly for that reason, use in LD.
By having issues that prevent me from enjoying the product has now affected me across several new products.

Class 66 One. And now the Class 66 Cargo line.
And this is why I’m here about the Class 700 because I cannot use due to layer defects on application.
I’m kindly asking for assistance or any support on this matter.
Like I say a number of products now have layering issues and we I am here today.

    Thank you.

Despite riding the 700 before irl, I’ve never heard its horn irl. Is it supposed to be that quiet?
Also, is there a fix for it on Xbox?

I find it correct but the huge problem and it’s affecting many other trains is the bad audio loop. It’s really annoying especially when you’re blasting the horn.

About a potential fix, nope nothing will happen as it’s an old product.

You should really lodge a formal complaint with DTG first. And no, a message on this forum is not a formal complaint. Furthermore: really small chance of success...

Don’t buy products on release. Let some other mug do that and then if the feedback is poor don’t buy at all!

It's disgraceful that DTG never sorted out the sound levels. I dusted it off just now to do a run towards the Mastery. The traction sounds are there, such as they are, but the levels are too low relative to everything else. A real shame because, as one handled EMU's go, it's not a bad train to drive. I really can't understand why the EP didn't throw this back at the audio guy and tell him to fix it or look for a new job. I know there's a mod but, well, we shouldn't really have to.
