As seen on the March 2023 Roadmap Welcome to Toronto Commuter 2024. Built by the Great Western Railway (Ontario) between 1853 and 1855 the present day Oakville and Grimsby Subdivisions hosts over 100 passenger and freights trains daily making this the busiest rail corridor in Canada. Finally tweaks to the existing route includes adding stations to the PIS, adjusting passenger density at stations and as a bonus added new paths to the Scenario Planner. With 111 playable services, choose from 88 GO Transit regional rail services operating the MP40PH-3C and Bombardier BiLevel cars along the western shore of Lake Ontario on all day stopping local, limited express, and rush hour commuter services. At Aldershot station, passengers cue on Platform 1 which is disused in real life. Aldershot PIS display boards are backwards. Track 1 shows 4, track 2 show 3, etc. Switch speed limits are Slow Speed (15 mph) but in reality they are either Medium (30 mph) or Limited (45 mph). 30 mph zone entering Oakville Platform 3. In reality Platform 4 is a through line and 30 mph limit applies to this track only. This is amazing! Thank you!! I have wondered about the metro stations on the Toronto route and felt it wasn't taken advantage of.
Can the train really go to Toronto? There seems to be no point in just setting a timetable to get to your destination. I hope DTG will expand Canadian routes, and I also hope that people with practical skills can use the editor to develop long-distance freight routes in the United States; other routes in Canada are also feasible.
It doesn't go to Toronto. It just goes between what's already in the route with Toronto as the off map destination. This doesn't lengthen the route. The biggest barrier to long distance in TSW, even by modders, is the time and effort it takes and computer performance/file size
I am happy to announce that Version 1.2 for my Timetable EP is now available on Train Sim Community. In this version I have added 4 additional freight services and 6 custom scenarios featuring passenger and freight services. Rail Journey mode has also been updated with these new services and scenarios. Download - Toronto Commuter 2024 Timetable EP
At that price, if you don't own it, grab it and download the updated timetable. This is how this DLC should have been when originally released. Great work from CFTFC congrats! Screenshot taken from the "Aldershot Turn" scenario.
Thanks dgagnon720. Glad you are enjoying it. For anyone attempting Aldershot Turn Part 2, I'd recommend having the Objective Markers turned on (Ctrl + 1) so you know which cars to couple to and where to uncouple.
It’s a well known fact that TSW mods are not compatible with consoles; the latter being by definition a fixed platform plug and play experience. Some games such as Farming Simulator and Snowrunner have built-in mod support on consoles, but this is very much the exception. TSW will never have mods on consoles as DTG would not want to have to deal with the inevitable support issues that would arise. I would sincerely recommend therefore coming over to the dark side and embracing the PC culture if you’re interested in going beyond console gaming.
Required for my timetable. So recommend grabbing it will you can. Sorry you missed it! Sales - Caltrain Last Chance Sale | Dovetail Games Forums
Now pulling into the station. Toronto Commuter is back with less stop and more GO. (Contains 60% less red signals) [Not independently verified] This update adds GO Transit liveries (original Green & White and the newer Metrolinx) to the MP40PH-3C and Bombardier BiLevels. Formations will randomly contain both liveries throughout the train as in real life. Also more realistic VIA Rail liveries have been added to the F40PH's and CTC cars. After a stern talking to the dispatcher, the signaling system has been updated meaning less red signals. Download - Toronto Commuter 2024 Timetable EP
