I would like to suggest the Newcastle to York route set in the Modern era - specifically December 2025, which is when a new class 91 diagram (1 KGX return per day) is meant to kick in.

    Stations
This section of the East Coast Mainline includes the following stations:
    • Newcastle
    • Chester-le-street
    • Durham
    • Darlington
    • Northallerton
    • Thirsk
    • York

    Freight and Depots
The route should also contain various freight/siding and depot locations, including:
    • York Siemens depot
    • Ferryhill TC
    • Tyne Yard
    • Low Fell RMT
    • Heaton Depot

    Trains
The route could include the following trains - either coming with the route, available as separate loco DLC, or layered from previous routes. Not all would be available right away of course due to the sheer quantity, they could be catered for as hidden layers or alternative trains masquerading as those locos, but this section has the potential to offer great variety:

    Freight:
    • Class 66:
      • Runs up and down the route
    • Class 70:
      • Runs up and down the route

    LNER:

    Northern:
    • Class 150:
      • Could be reskinned from Cardiff City network
      • AI at YRK
    • Class 155:
      • AI at YRK
    • Class 156:
      • Limited runs on the route
      • AI at NCL
    • Class 158:
      • Could be reskinned by Skyhook
      • Limited runs on the route
      • AI at NCL
    • Class 170:
      • Could be reskinned from FCL
      • AI at YRK
    • Class 195:
      • AI at YRK

    Cross Country:

    TPE:

    Grand Central:

    Lumo:
    • Class 803:
      • Runs up and down the route as AI running to/from Newcastle but no other stops on the route

    Others:
There is also potential for rail tours (with locos such as 37s, 47s in WCRC livery, and steam - among others). Additionally, there could be runs from the network rail HST or 37 set, if these were added to the game at some point. These are also sometimes stabled in the Newcastle Station siding before continuing a journey.

    Particularly cool aspects
    • High Level Bridge at Newcastle
    • King Edward Bridge
    • High Output Ballast Cleaners and Track Replacement Systems operated by Network Rail based at Tyne Yard
    • Durham Cathedral
    • Durham Viaduct
    • York Rail Operations Centre
    • National Rail Museum

    Durham Coast Line

I would also suggest including the Durham Coast Line which runs through the following key stations:
    • Newcastle
    • Heworth
    • Sunderland
    • Seaham
    • Horden
    • Hartlepool
    • Seaton Carew
    • Billingham
    • Stockton
    • On to Northallerton and the ECML

Services on the route are operated by:
    • Northern (156s and 158s)
    • Grand Central (180s)
    • T&W Metro (599s and 555s)
    • Diversions operated by LNER, generally using 9 car 800s, or a 5 car 800 and a 5 car 801 coupled together

    Yes yes yes.

Two big stations on an end-to-end which feel like they would be start and end points (somewhat), but the opportunity to bundle this with existing ECML stock and possible an extra ‘deluxe’ loco - which I’d love to have the Voyager!

Hopefully they don’t miss an opportunity to have the National Railway Museum included and present, seeing as it’s the Railway 200 year, a well-known railway destination and generally just a great cause to collaborate with. Could have just about anything through the years (Flying Scotsman, HST, diesel locos..) on display!

I feel like they try to avoid york as much as possible, you see all the routes theyve done on eastern england and all of them barely miss york. its probably because of the station's sheer size and beautiful architecture will be insanely hard to model or otherwise make high end pcs turn into a saucepan
