Proposal for Skyhook Games to make the Midland Mainline (north) Derby to Doncaster Length - Circa 46 miles Journey Time - Circa 50 mins direct, Derby to Sheffield 35mins, Sheffield to Doncaster 40 mins Route Hopping - Yes at Derby for MML and Doncaster for ECML License - CrossCountry Trains New Train - Class 220 DMU* * to additionally layer backwards into original MML Additional Trains - Class 66, 158, HST, 170 + Cargo Line Station models for Derby and Doncaster already exist in TSW, Sheffield would be the only major station asset required.
Further Layers would be AI trains at Doncaster with LNER + XC and then vice versa with this DLC layering onto the ECML TT as AI + drivable XC services.. I still think the Matlock Branch or Chesterfield to Nottingham should be added, the latter to complete the entire link with MML
The 170 and 150 can be reskinnned into Northern livery. The 150 does all stops while the 170 only stops at Sheffield, Meadowhall and Doncaster. The 150 could also substitute for the Sheffield to Leeds service via Moorthorpe (I think a 195 does this irl). EMT services (with the HST and 158) would only go as far as Sheffield, while Cross Country will go Derby Sheffield and Doncaster. Can't see it happening unless we get CrossCountry license, they're the only ones that do the full length of this as far as I know.
