I have just read that Simtogether will be closing in October after 15 years. https://simtogether.com/forums/topic/2836-vertrek-simtogethercom So sad, although Etienne is open of someone taking over
There is another post at the bottom of the one linked to " Dear SimTogether community, First of all, on behalf of the entire SimTogether team, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Etienne for his years of commitment and dedication to both SimTogether.com and TreinPunt.NL. His passion and leadership have allowed both platforms to grow into the valuable communities they are today. We understand that Etienne's departure raises questions and uncertainties. Therefore, we would like to give a brief update on the future of SimTogether.com. Behind the scenes, we are working hard on different scenarios to ensure the survival of the platform. While we cannot give any definitive answers at the moment about the exact shape of SimTogether in the near future, we can already confirm some things with certainty. What will remain: Downloads will remain accessible. Existing download links will continue to work. There will also be space to upload new downloads in the future. The wiki, forum and Discord server will remain active. So even in the most austere scenario, SimTogether will be relaunched, retaining the core functions that many of you use every day. With this, we hope to shed some light on what you as a community can expect. Of course, we will keep you informed of further developments. Kind regards, Lander"
I've purchased several ChrisTrains add-ons through their shop. Despite the above, one should still ensure all your downloads are up to date, in case this shop closes for good after all.
They are the place that has both fictional Dutch routes with lots of rolling stock on sale right now. I wonder if those will survive. Though some question the fact they are fictional routes and not real ones.
I doubt Simtogether is the only place selling those fictional Dutch routes. They are made by a third party so could go on sale anywhere. I did not see anything reduced - unless I looked in the wrong place
Another useful site bites the dust... This is a REALLY bad year for everything it seems, Even Train Sim.
You only read post #1 and ignored post #2 Which says "While we cannot give any definitive answers at the moment about the exact shape of SimTogether in the near future, we can already confirm some things with certainty.
